Welcome to the weekend! We've got a bunch of new Xbox Game Pass titles to check out over the next few days including Return to Monkey Island and Vampire Survivors, three more Free Play Days titles, and another set of excellent discounts in the weekly sales. Plus, Halo Infinite and Microsoft Flight Simulator have received major updates!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:
Fraser Gilbert, Editor
I've got a few games that I'm hoping to play this weekend. Firstly, the Halo Infinite Winter Update is obviously now available, but I haven't had a chance to dig into it. It's been a while since I last played Halo Infinite to be honest, so I'm hoping the Winter Update (and particularly Forge Mode) can get me back into the game in a big way.
Elsewhere, I'm still spending plenty of time with Football Manager 2023 Console following its release on Game Pass earlier this week, and I'd also like to try Return to Monkey Island and Vampire Survivors when I get a chance.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Persona 5 Royal and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.
On PS5 i will be playing Valkyrie Elysium and The Outer Wilds
On switch its Mario and Rabbids sparks of hope and some splat fest.
And on Series S I will be giving dying light 2 a rest so I can start Assassins creed valhalla
Will be playing A Plague Tale: Requiem and Sonic Frontiers on Series X, God of War Ragnarok on PS4 and Rogue Legacy 2 on Switch. Basically only new releases for me this weekend!
I'm having problems with my internet connection, so nothing from Game Pass.
Arkham Horror: Mother's Embrace. I think it's pretty short. Might be close to finishing it.
Ghost song on xbox, ender lilies on switch, both are pretty good
Sonic Frontiers for me. Gotta try to play the game literally like the Blue Blur to see if I can beat it before Pokémon comes out. Jeez, I wish I had the same time as I had as a kid sometimes.
Sonic. What else?
Warborn. I am totally addicted to this game. Ranks no. 3 in all time best games ever.
Halo has been good fun. I’ll probably get a couple more battle pass levels. I’m at lvl11 I think.
I’m looking forward to some Sea of Thieves with my wife. That’s generally a good time.
Finally Vampire Survivors is alright. I’ve had some good runs and some okay ones. It’s a gave I can play for nerve a few runs before putting it down for the night.
Playing The Legend of Tianding, You Suck at Parking and will be starting A Plague Tale Requiem tonight.
Pokémon Yellow Version (GB) - Finally emerged from the Rock Tunnel. Ready to explore Pokémon Tower.
World At Arms (Windows Phone) - Still plodding along with this.
Angry Birds Star Wars (Windows Phone) - Three starred nearly a quarter of the levels so far.
@BBB I'm with you on Vampire Survivor. If I pick it up, likely all I'll be playing - or doing - this weekend.
This weekend I’m playing God of War Ragnarok (PS5). So far, this game is absolutely superb, and is much more grandiose than its counterpart. The writing is top notch, and the performances from all characters — whether voice acting or animations — is so astounding. Speaking of voice acting - Ryan Hurst needs to be praised for his excellent portrayal of Thor. The way he speaks and his presence on screen makes you really hang on every action he does.
The combat is also exceptional. The Leviathan axe never gets old, and I find it to be one of the best weapons in any game ever; I truly believe that. Also, there have been several “Holy *****!” moments throughout the game too. All of the talk about Ragnarok being a glorified DLC, or God of War 1.5 can be thrown out the window. The scope of this game is absolutely breathtaking.
Other than that, I will probably play Halo Infinite (Xbox Series X). With the latest update, my buddy and I want to play the campaign cooperatively. This is one of our favorite franchises, and we used to play Combat Evolved religiously when we were younger. We have already beaten the campaign separately when the game released, but this sounds like a perfect excuse to jump back in and mop up some missing achievements.
GOW. Its not over rated, its trully exceptional game crafting.
Other than that, the rather addictive vampire survivor is distracking me on pc. Pretty addictive stuff.
Whatever and where ever you are playing , have a great weekend!
On Series X I’m playing Sonic Frontiers and Cyberpunk 2077 (which looks even better now after latest patch). But my go-to game right now is…God of War Ragnarök.
I'm currently playing Monster Hunter Rise..
God of Ragnarok
Persona 5 still, 90 hours in and still not halfway through (as far as I know.)
Persona 5 Royal and Halo Infinite for me. I'm playing new game+ on Persona, just got my last achievement. As for Halo, I finished today winter update battle pass.
Oh, and I started Halo Wars Definitive edition.
I'm traveling all weekend so I only have the steam deck and switch with me. I started a new fallout 4 game on steam and might finally get around to trying Kirby forgotten land on switch
Splatfest!!!!
Maybe some P5 Royal. Maybe some Modern Warfare 2.
Hi there fellow gamers;
Having finished Gears 5 and still suprised by the choice you have to make close to the end (can´t wait to see what The Coalition does with the next Gears game), I´ll be playing Prodeus and Ghost Song on my Series X and God of War Ragnarok on my PS5.
Prodeus is such a fun retro FPS and Ghost Song is just metroidvania game and I love it.
As for GoW Ragnarok...... That game is incredible in every way.
Cheers, stay safe everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
Forza Horizon 3 (Xbox Series X) Just cleaning up some trophies and a few races before I move on.
TMNT Collection (Switch) Still working on Radical Rescue.
Persona 5 Royal will be keeping me busy for a long while, I suspect. I might sprinkle in some Halo Infinite with my son.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: A little bit of Multiplayer, mainly campaign atm.
Vampire Survivor.
Gunfire Reborn
Played some Halo Infinite campaign coop with my nephew. He's never played Halo before so that was fun.
Also been melting my eyeballs with Vampire Survivors.
Halo Infinite. Have already completed the Battle Pass and am enjoying the new maps. Hope to run through the campaign with some friends soon.
Vampire Survivors is also a great addition to GamePass.
Halo Infinite winter update
Been hooked on vampire survivors , a simple game but very addictive 😘
Finally playing New Tales from the Borderlands
Persona 5 about 30 hours in and I’ve been playing halo 4
