When Xbox & Bethesda took the tough decision to delay both Redfall and Starfield out of 2022, both games were tagged with a "first half of 2023" release window. However, it's looking like Bethesda Game Studios' Starfield could miss that launch period.
According to MrMattyPlays of the 'Defining Duke' Xbox podcast, Bethesda hasn't got a date in mind for Starfield right now, and the game may have been pushed out of the first half of this year.
"Starfield is getting a possible bump out of the first half [of 2023] because it's currently undated. They could go through a test and go 'you know, it is ready', it's just very up in the air in that regard."
"This source is someone I trust quite a bit, they've been very correct [before]. For those of you who trust my KOTOR stuff, this is the person that verified that stuff in the past."
None of this information has been officially confirmed by Xbox or Bethesda at the time of writing, so it's worth taking this info with a pinch of salt. However, Microsoft has just announced its new Developer_Direct event for next week, with the company confirming that Starfield won't feature at the show.
