Hyped might be pushing it but yes I’m intrigued. I’ll have a crack at it. Not sure how much I’ll be able to play though, traveling to the sacred lands of China soon enough..
Primarily a PC gamer these days so I use it quite a bit. It works, but that's about it. The Xbox app on PC leaves much to be desired if compared to Steam.
Recently Microsoft decided it was a good idea to force open Ubisoft Launcher whenever you start the Xbox app, regardless if you have a Ubisoft game installed or not. If you close Ubisoft or you don't have it installed you get a nasty message telling you Ubisoft PC needs "attention"...
@frabbit I would assume so since it’s essentially the same service they offer on PC. I always sub one month when EA/Ubisoft releases new games. Take Dead Space Remake for example, played it day one with every DLC included for $15. For me, who never replay games, that’s a steal. Couldn’t care less if I don’t own it.
As much as I like Bethesda’s games, they’re not exactly known for their polished day one releases. It will contain a performance mode but at a stable 60 fps is just wishful thinking.
@Bleachedsmiles Probably not very common or MS would’ve blocked it long time ago. I’ve spent a total of roughly $160-170 for 6 whole years of GPU. Second time I “renewed“ I couldn’t use the $1 conversion but a regular 1 month code for GPU did the trick.
@Bleachedsmiles A yearly sub? Hell no. But I like these subscription options. For example, I bought 1 month EA Play Pro to play Dead Space Remake at launch. Totally worth $15 for me who rarely, if ever, replay games.
Never. I built a new PC rig but after playing mainly on console for many years my preferences remain. I don’t use mouse & keyboard on PC either (outside of browsing). PC is hooked up to the TV just like my Series X and is almost exclusively in Steam Big Picture mode.
@Kaloudz Have you played the Nioh games? The demo felt significantly easier than those titles. Parry/guard is very forgiving. Just finished the demo and for me there was essentially nothing to master, breezed through it.
I hope full game bump up the difficulty a notch! But I think the more forgiving nature will certainly appeal to the masses, so it might be for the better.
Sucks to hear, and a bit surprising too given how ridiculously well the PC port runs. I don’t even need to use DLSS to pull high frames in 4K with zero stuttering issues.
I will be playing it on PC most likely, unless the PC version suffers from stuttering. If that’s the case I’ll purchase it for PS5 (granted it’s free from major performance issues of course).
@UltimateOtaku91 That’s what I miss the most on PS5, to buy cd keys from other sources than PSN store. I rarely buy digital games on PS5 due to the outrageous prices we have here.
It is certainly huge but it’s just a touch bigger than the 3090 Ti I reckon. Gotta get my hands on that bad boy either way. Hopefully they won’t sell out as quick this time.
Hah, sheesh. Who could’ve guessed! I actually picked up one myself (just sent my old black Series 2 for another replacement that I intend to sell when it arrives). I have tested my Core throughly and so far it’s without faults. Yes, really!
I kind of want to get it... Already got a "complete package" lying around from a "broken" (aka buttons not working properly/double clicking) elite series 2. But as @gollumb82 said I should probably hold off to see what the quality is like.
@Fiendish-Beaver I just finished the two first levels (beta). It’s decent, think you’ll like it. I didn’t particularly enjoy GreedFall to be honest but Steelrising is definitely promising.
Warzone or MultiVerse. For now I’m voting in favor of MultiVerse.
Sure it’s not a perfect replica of Smash but honestly that’s something only Nintendo themselves can pull off. And if they did we’d be stuck playing on Switch without any sort of cross-play I’m sure.
The Pathless is indeed a lovely game. I’ve bought it twice by accident. Initially, I got it on PS5 but got sidetracked at the time. Forgot about it and then picked it up again during a Steam sale half a year later.
@SplooshDmg Indeed. I hope this just means they’re slowing the f down and stop releasing half-assed stuff at launch. I like Ubisoft but if you want play their games in a less broken state you have to wait at least half a year post launch.
This is especially important if you’re on PC. Their PC ports are always released with garbage optimization in my experience.
@themightyant I see your point. But wait for reviews I don’t understand. Many reviews are published days before launch, aren’t they?
Most people doesn’t bother ever reading reviews anyway and will of course not take notice of this article either. It’d be very surprised if this will hurt their sales in any way.
@Carck Well yeah, I agree. It is certainly a bit distasteful. We’re going to have multiple reviewers giving their take on the game before it launches anyway. No one is forced to pre-order.
But I guess people do anything for a second of that glorious internet fame.
I am going to at least give it a chance as long as it’s not 4-5/10 across the board or something of that magnitude.
@Dusk_Actual To be honest I don’t recall facing any game-breaking bugs. I can’t speak of multiplayer though, never tried it. I would encourage you to give it another shot.
All in all, I had a great time. No AAA quality of course but still lots of fun, imo.
@Titntin Fret not friend. I recently upgraded my rig with a fresh 3090 Ti ROG STRIX. I still play more on my consoles, oh the horror!
Albeit I can’t say I experience stutters very often. It happens but it usually comes down to crappy PC ports with garbage optimization (which is awfully common, especially day one releases). Or driver/other software issues. That’s my main gripe with PC gaming, I hate troubleshooting crashing/stutter problems when I just want to play.
Sometimes there are zero issues, I played 60 hours+ ME: Andromeda with a handful mods on without a single crash. Next I’ll boot up AC Origins and game crashes within an hour.
Oh and why would I spend a fortune on a gaming rig I don’t use extensively? I dunno. Because I can. Smh

Re: 'Sword And Fairy: Together Forever' Is Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (July 5)
PC version is without RTX and DLSS, what a bummer. Strange considering both options are available on the Steam version.
Re: Talking Point: Are You Excited For Capcom's Big Xbox Game Pass Launch This Month?
Hyped might be pushing it but yes I’m intrigued. I’ll have a crack at it. Not sure how much I’ll be able to play though, traveling to the sacred lands of China soon enough..
Re: AMD Announces 'Exclusive' Starfield Partnership That Will Benefit Players On Xbox & PC
@SplooshDmg Excellent, now I can look forward to AMD’s garbage RT implementations and their eye-cancer FSR 2.0.
Re: Redfall Patch 1.1 Out Now As Developer Provides Update On 60FPS Mode
Some much needed QoL improvements. I might give it a go on PC, I genuinely can’t stand 30 fps anymore. Kinda sad but it is what it is.

Re: Pick One: Which Of These Ubisoft Xbox Games Is Your Favourite?
I can't decide on just one. Assassin's Creed: Origins, Immortals Fenyx Rising and The Division 2.

Re: Xbox Fans Call On Bethesda To Delay Redfall Until 60FPS Is Ready
Nein. Release it. However, I only say this because I can play it on PC.
Re: Redfall Will Only Run At 30FPS When It Launches On Xbox Series X And S
PC it is then. But man it must be a letdown for everyone whose constrained to consoles.

Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Release Date, Release Times & Preload Details On Xbox Game Pass
@jrt87 Finished PC demo few days ago. No major problems, a few hiccups here and there but no serious stuttering issues nor crashes.
Windows Store version is miles better than Steam version. Even have the 120 fps option available unlike Steam.
I’m on high-end hardware though, which obviously helps since there’s no DLSS/FSR implementation in the demo.

Re: Another Seven Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass Soon (February 28)
Tiny bit bummed that Alien: Isolation is leaving. But it’s dirt cheap elsewhere (in case I don’t have time to finish it).
Re: Wild Hearts 'Welcome To Minato' Story Trailer Arrives, Xbox Game Pass Trial Begins Today
Not a huge MH fan but I’ll give this a shot anyway. Maybe it’ll manage to reel me in.

@Kaloudz Same, and I still do stupid stuff like this. #YOLO
(I’m the idiot here…)
Re: 'Quantum Break' Actor Gets Behind Fan Requests For A Potential Sequel
Excellent game. Played it shortly after finishing Control and I still thought it was awesome.
The live action stuff was unnecessary yeah but truthfully, it didn’t bother me all that much.
Re: Poll: How Many Xbox Games Have You Actually Bought This Year?
@UltimateOtaku91 That’s what I miss the most on PS5, to buy cd keys from other sources than PSN store. I rarely buy digital games on PS5 due to the outrageous prices we have here.
Bought a couple cd keys for Xbox this year.
Re: 'Blacktail' Is Now Available On Xbox Series X|S, And It's Getting Good Reviews
What a game! Picked it up with zero expectations, been playing for 10 hours now and I'm seriously impressed. Launch discount makes it a steal.
Amazing narrative and exploration. It's not without flaws, of course, for example the combat can be a little iffy.
I'm not particularly fond of survival games in general but this one gets a pass. It's not too hard nor easy.
Re: Justin Roiland: High On Life Features 'So Many' Secrets Players Will Be 'Discovering For Months'
I thought it was decent for what it was. Had a good time and it didn't overstay its welcome. 10 or so hours for the story and some exploring.
Re: The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Release Date, Release Times, Download Size Details On Xbox
So excited for this! Not sure if I should start fresh on PC or continue my playthrough on Series X. Put it on hold in anticipation of this patch.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass In January 2023
Figures. I bought it on PC last week haha. Fantastic game nonetheless!
Re: 'Over 125' Gaming Controllers Will Soon Work On Xbox Thanks To Third-Party Accessory
So, basically the same functionality as CronusMAX/Zen, Titan Two, etc?
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Most Anticipated December Release On Xbox?
Tough decision. Probably High on Life or Crisis Core.
Re: These 20+ Games Are Coming To Xbox This Week (October 17-21)
Gah, I couldn’t wait so I started Plague Tale Requiem today. And boy it looks incredible!
Re: Warner Bros Reveals Why Gotham Knights Will Be 30FPS On Xbox Series X|S
Rumors has it A Plague Tale: Requiem is in the same boat. 30 fps no performance mode. Noice… fingers crossed it’s not true.

Re: These Games Are Coming To Xbox This Week (August 29 - September 2)
It seems Ubisoft is a little too eager. Immortals Fenyx Rising is already available (and playable) on PC.
Re: All New Releases Coming To Xbox In September 2022
@Fiendish-Beaver I just finished the two first levels (beta). It’s decent, think you’ll like it. I didn’t particularly enjoy GreedFall to be honest but Steelrising is definitely promising.
Re: Death Stranding Officially Joins Xbox Game Pass For PC Next Week
@Agnostic This. To me it was nothing but a snoozefest.
Re: Pick One: What's Your Favourite 'Free' Game On Xbox Right Now?
Warzone or MultiVerse. For now I’m voting in favor of MultiVerse.
Sure it’s not a perfect replica of Smash but honestly that’s something only Nintendo themselves can pull off. And if they did we’d be stuck playing on Switch without any sort of cross-play I’m sure.
Re: MultiVersus Is The Most Popular Free-To-Play Game On Xbox Right Now
@Markatron I don’t really have anything to compare with, long time since properly played any f2p game.
You can earn most of the stuff with in-game currency except for some skins and stuff like that.
The grind for in-game currency seems pretty atrocious to me but again maybe that’s the norm for f2p.
Re: MultiVersus Is The Most Popular Free-To-Play Game On Xbox Right Now
I think WB have really done it. It’s a great game, I was hesitant at first thinking it was just going to be another crappy Smash-clone.
It’s going to be interesting to see if they can keep things rolling.
Re: Pick One: What Was Your Favourite Xbox Game Pass Game In July?
Imma go with Watch Dogs 2. I had only played Legion before. The second iteration was so much better. Too bad they messed up the sequel.

Re: Rumour: Immortals Fenyx Rising Might Be Coming To Xbox Game Pass
I hope they put it on there. This game needs more recognition to make Ubisoft see it's worth building on.

Re: Raji: An Ancient Epic Gets 'Enhanced Edition' On Xbox Game Pass, But With A Catch
It’s a short game, like 5 hours tops, so I should be able to finish within 11 days. If not, I’ll grab it on PC for $7.
