We often put a lot of attention on Xbox Game Pass here at Pure Xbox, and that includes the fantastic library of PC Game Pass titles that are accessible to every Game Pass Ultimate member - some of which are unique to that platform.
That said, it feels like the console games get more attention than the PC-only titles amongst the Pure Xbox community, so we wanted to take this chance to shine a light on the latter and get your verdict on the PC service specifically.
Of course, the new ASUS ROG Ally is about to feature native PC Game Pass support as well!
You can access PC Game Pass via the Xbox app for Windows PCs - it's generally pretty satisfying to use (although we'd love a couple extra features like the ability to limit bandwidth), and the app allows you to download anything you like from the PCGP library including EA Play titles. There's mod support in some cases, and we've even used it to play VR games like Hitman: World of Assassination and Star Wars: Squadrons with no issues.
The question is though, how satisfied are you with PC Game Pass right now? What do you think of the app and its compatibility/performance? How are you feeling about the library of titles so far? Do you actually make use of PC Game Pass as part of your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, or do you play all your games on console instead?
We'd love to hear your thoughts on PC Game Pass down in the poll and comments below.

I don't have a pc so I never use it
Primarily a PC gamer these days so I use it quite a bit. It works, but that's about it. The Xbox app on PC leaves much to be desired if compared to Steam.
Recently Microsoft decided it was a good idea to force open Ubisoft Launcher whenever you start the Xbox app, regardless if you have a Ubisoft game installed or not. If you close Ubisoft or you don't have it installed you get a nasty message telling you Ubisoft PC needs "attention"...
I use it all the time. Honestly I don't use my Series X much anymore since I got a decent PC around New Year's.
I think GP for PC is amazing. There are games on it that are not on Xbox like Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake 4, and also certain games like Dishonored 2 are not 60 fps on Xbox. I haven't tried Squarons in VR, but as mentioned in the article, that's there too.
It’s good. I don’t use it much as my PC is mainly for free-to-play multiplayer titles with friends and my XBOX is what I use for most of my single-player titles. But the few times I’ve used it for Forza and a couple other titles it worked fine.
Game Pass for PC has been more of a 'bonus' feature for me as I haven't really gamed on PC for years. I have used 'Cloud' on my PC because it being a 'slim' RoG Zephyrus Duo with a RTX3080ti GPU doesn't have 'great' storage and feels to much like 'work from home' device to me than a 'gaming' device.
I have pre-ordered the RoG Ally though so I do expect to take more advantage of Game Pass for PC.
As for the attention for Console only, its not surprising as most seem only interested in 'Xbox' Console versus 'Playstation' Console. Deathloop & Ghostwire were on PC as was MSFS, Gears Tactics and AoE4 before they came/come to consoles - so when they 'do' come to Game Pass, they seem overlooked too. I never see MSFS mentioned as a 'true' Next Gen Only game released on Series S/X and available in Game Pass...
The fact is that I haven't really utilised Game Pass PC as gaming on 'PC' has felt to much like 'work' - sat in front of a Keyboard/screen for hours but I expect to get much more use out of it with the RoG Ally and owning the latest Consoles has always been the easier option with its 'plug/play' nature and a Library built up over years. The last time I gamed 'seriously' on PC, The Millenium bug was potentially going to kill a lot of Hardware.
When I subbed to Ultimate, it was initially just because it bundled Gold in with it - never expected to use Cloud or PC options, but I have used 'Cloud' more than I thought I would (on Series X, XB1X in Bedroom and on my Laptop. With my RoG Ally, I expect to use Game Pass PC more frequently...
It's improved over the years, but I don't use it much. Once my sub lapses I probably won't renew. I stream my PC to my iPad A LOT, and I just really prefer the SteamLink experience over something like Moonlight, and adding a non-Steam game to Steam to use SteamLink just isn't quite as good an experience as native Steam games. Also, the WindowsApps folder is so locked down, sometimes the effort to add a Game Pass game to Steam just isn't worth it. It's a total pain. The Xbox PC app is just miles behind Steam in terms of games, features and stability. I'd rather just buy my games on Steam, even if PC Game Pass is offering better value for certain titles.
It's functional but at times a bit cumbersome and not really ideal that you have to have the EA app downloaded and installed to be able to download and play those games. If the pc xbox app had some kind of big picture mode that was the Xbox dashboard it may make it more useable because navigating it and the store on there is even worse than on console.
I love pc gamepass. That's where a lot of my evergreen titles are played (age of empires, cities skylines, wastelands, frostpunk, no mans sky, etc.)
Loved it for the first 6 months but now I've played everything I wanted, I only really keep paying as you can get your money back with Microsoft points.
There hasn't really been anything I'm interested since Hi Fi Rush several months ago.
I’ll love PC GamePass when we can stream those games to our consoles. There’s a bunch of “PC only” games I’d like to play but my actual PC is a POS. So yeah, give me the option to stream them and I’ll be happy.
@Relygon I noticed this too, it's a pain in the arse.
PC Game Pass is my only resource for Game Pass as I now play solely on PC. It's pretty much a one for one comparison with console Game Pass, with a handful of PC-only games thrown in too, so I'm happy with it.
Deleted my previous post and re-writing because I missed the whole “PC” part.
I enjoy it, there are some very solid “ideal for PC” titles in the service, like all the Age of Empires games and Flight Sim, but I wish they had a way to repackage old first party games in some sort of emulation bundle that let there be more parity between console and PC.
I’m sure if they really wanted, they could get their OG and XB360 emulators running on windows even if it was only to include their first party catalog of games.
My laptop can really only run older titles on PC Game Pass - no complaints, but it does limit what I can play natively. I use either remote play to my Series X or actual Game Pass Streaming and love it!
I have Game Pass Ultimate, but truthfully, I rarely use it. I always seem to be playing the latest big release. I'm currently playing Jedi Survivor, and before that I played Dead Island 2, and before that it was Resident Evil 4. Basically, I hardly touch GPU, which is a shame really, and that's especially true when it comes to playing Game Pass titles on my PC...
Never liked playing on PC, so never used it.
I play on console or my phone. Before I got the series x i played on my laptop and it was a truly poor experience for the most part. Certain games just would crash and i couldn't play them and my progress wasn't always saving. I can't say I would recommend it to anyone or willingly play it or i had other options available. Not sure if they improved it in the past few years...but I've no need to test it out.
It’s ok. I hardly game with PC, but it’s ok. I can xCloud on my laptop if I really want to, but I hardly ever do. Gamepass in general has just been at “ok” status this year.
I've tried every fix I can to get the Microsoft Store and Xbox app to work on my PC, but none of them worked, so I can't say.
For £7.99 its great value i can play Xbox games with my Xbox friends on my PC . I pay £11.99 for PS+ not so great value.
I've had gamepass since it launched. I loved it and it's been great. After Redfall, I cancelled it. I went 2 months and didn't touch a single gamepass game. Just not worth it anymore.
I use my work pc when I’ve got downtime, and love it. It’s limited on the games it’ll play, but there are a decent number of games that can run on weaker basic office hardware. My PC costs about $300, so it’s nothing great.
As a Series S gamer... I'm too poor to game on a PC, although I am currently a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber.
I am fully satisfied with both PC and XB GamePass. On PC, I mostly play RTS games and there are usually many of them on GamePass.
I play most of the rest on XB but there is the odd time I will install a XB GamePass game on my laptop when I travel.
Its ok. Here are some improvements
1) EA games should have xbox achievements on PC. I have NO idea why I can get achievements for games like ME legendary edition but NOT the PC version
2) Achievement delays need to be fixed. Sometimes I end up getting achievements like 2 minutes later
3) OPTIONAL- make PC versions of all gamepass games have achievements so we can double dip(That would be nice)
4) If we check out a game in the xbox app and we go back to the all pc section, stop having us start from the top of the page so we dont have to keep on scrolling through.
I started the Gamepass Journey there as at the time I was mostly playing on PC. However since I bought the series X I have not played much (but I did play and loved Death Stranding). It is ok if nothing spetacular. It is a shame that there are still a lot of games that are not available on PC (some outside GP)
I got Gamepass Ultimate with my series X and have kept the subscription. I've been playing xcloud on my computer for a while with mixed results since my pc definitely won't support any half decent games natively. I think PC gamepass would see a huge uptick of cloud gaming was offered with it.
