EA's Monster Hunter competitor Wild Hearts begins rolling out on all platforms this week, starting with the early access trial which goes live today, February 13th. Ahead of the game's global rollout, the dev team has dropped a brand new story trailer to add some context to all of your upcoming monster hunting adventures.
Koei Tecmo welcomes you to Minato, a land of full of all sorts of colourful characters; many of whom are key to your adventure in Wild Hearts. Naturally, the story trailer also shows off a bunch of the big bad monsters you'll be fighting along the way - most of them look pretty nasty we must admit!

Wild Hearts fully launches on February 17th, however, those of you who want to jump in early can do so later today! EA will be setting a 10-hour Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial live today, February 13th. Here are the Game Pass / EA Play trial launch times on Feb 13:

Not a huge MH fan but I’ll give this a shot anyway. Maybe it’ll manage to reel me in.
I'm not sure if this game is for me, but I LOVE that they don't really tie this to any sort of normality or realism and instead they just go bat-***** crazy with their imagination. It looks like fun.
Games used to do this far more. We need more of it.
This game seems to have zero hype behind it and in a month as busy as February it could be in for a rough time regardless of how good it is.
@Fenbops seems to be EA lately, NFS marketing non existant, this has none, even dead space didnt have alot really.
MHRise being so close to it doesnt help, especially knowing sunbreak due soon too.
that said i will be using the trial
I'm in the US, eastern time zone, and not seeing the free trial after following the instructions above. Any tips?
Edit: Found it! They really couldn't have made it less clear. If you scroll down on the product page, the cover image appears again, with no text but the title of the game, and selecting it brings up the free trial screen. It's a 72 GB installation.
Saw the extended trailer this afternoon, doesn't look half bad, but does not look like an EA game at all, but then i saw KT that's like Koei Tecmo right? , Well installing demo
Hm, just played some hour in the trial.... Not a good start. Looks like a PS3 game at best, muddy textures on so many things. You walk in "corridors" with ugly environments, fighting have zero impact feeling and the animals feels like stupid robots... I am almost shocked how bad it is so far!
is this trial or demo? does the save data carry over?
What the heck?! I saw a video by Arekkz gaming and it didn't look this bad. Please tell me that it just look like ass on Series S. Anyone playing on Series X?
@bowzoid Looks just as bad on Series X. Muddy textures, shimmering and low res. Game can be fun though, but I like decent graphics.
Too busy playing and loving Hogwarts Legacy to check this out! Maybe there’ll be another opportunity later.
@YourNameHere Same lol! I'm still waiting for that quest to finally unlock the Unforgivable curses 🤣
Hmm... some possibly misdirected Princess Mononoke vibes with some of these beasts. cough*ripoff!
