The end of the year is almost upon us, and we're already finding ourselves looking ahead at what's launching during December. The final month of 2022 is looking like a pretty big one already, with a slew of major releases dropping ahead of a stacked year in 2023.
Next month kicks off with a tantalising triple threat on December 2nd. The Callisto Protocol, Marvel's Midnight Suns and Need for Speed Unbound all launch right at the start of the month, providing three very different AAA experiences just before the year is out.
Of course, another title that immediately comes to mind for next month is the crazy, colourful shooter High on Life, which launches day one on Xbox Game Pass on December 13th. We were lucky enough to talk to the team recently ahead of that launch, and it's safe to say we're very excited for this upcoming Game Pass title!
There's a lot more besides as well, like fellow Game Pass launch title Hello Neighbor 2 along with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion and the next-gen version of The Witcher 3. In short, it's a jam-packed final month for 2022!
Plus, we've got three games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in December 2022 already...
What's your most anticipated Xbox release next month? Vote in the poll and let us know!

Tough decision. Probably High on Life or Crisis Core.
Crisis core for me. Loved it on PSP and this looks like its been tweaked enough for a second helping..
I'm keen on seeing what they have done to the Witcher 3, but I own that on PS, so wont be paying that on Xbox.
The callisto protocol looks great, but my wife is getting more squeamish as games get ever more realistically gory, so I'll probably spare her the pain
Whilst I'll keep my eyes on the reviews, high on life had awful combat in the demos I saw, and rather than think 'thats fun' all I wanted to do was break the weapons as they would not shut the F*k up! Maybe it will be better than I fear, and as a GP title, the least I can do is try it
Across all consoles its Crisis Core but for xbox it's high on life.
The Callisto Protocol by a long way then High On Life
Crisis Core, not even a contest.
High on Life looks good as well, but maybe i'll play it at a later time.
High On Life & hope the comedy will be spot on and has some fresh gameplay angles.
I have a feeling the expectations on The Callisto Protocol are very high at this point. I liked the concept of Dead Space & wonder how much familiar it will be in comparison to that DS universe.
Honestly… nothing! Sports Story and Pentiment are my last two games I’m playing this year and that’ll probably happen in December, and it seems like a good way to end the year.
Callisto, followed closely by High on Life. Also interested in Crisis Core.
Really looking forward for High on Life but not sure if I’ll have the time to play it until next year. Still have it pre-installed, will try to force myself to play the first level at least.
Midnight Suns or Witcher.
I've longed for a Stranger's Wrath sequel for a long time. High on life is giving me that vibe. I'll definitely play it when I get time.
High on life is definitely my jam. I can't wait to play it high on stuff in real life.
The Callisto Protocol and High on Life.
@Solidchief Plus one! Both look great
Callisto. And it's not close.
I'm just retro gaming on xbox at the moment. I'm having more fun with older games
Solar Ash? Heart machine please confirm.
@BBB I hope High on Life exceeds expectations for you, and I hope you're good as well buddy.
@Titntin You are able to toggle how much the guns ramble in High On Life's options
High On Life & Crisis Core FF7
Goldeneye 007 (I wish)
Callisto protocol but I'm getting it on ps5
@Scummbuddy Thanks for that snippet mate, I didnt think you could! N9w I'll definately try it 😁
Honestly, none of these. Haven't felt the need to buy any games of late on Xbox. Gamepass offers more than enough to keep me busy.
@DreemWeever - yep, that would be nice 👍
Looking forward to The Witcher 3 series X/S update and High on Life.
Hoping against hope that Darktide for console releases. I'll be playing it on my potato PC while I wait.
@DreemWeever
I think Goldeneye will be released in December and announced at the Game Awards as "Now available on Game Pass"...
