No love for Warframe?
MultiVersus is the first game with a battle pass that’s F2P that I’ve ever given a crap about.
Probably Warzone, even if I’ve dropped off it due to my account being hacked and sold and Activision blaming me for it. Had a lot of fun on that one for two or so years. I do think Destiny 2 (and Halo Infinite as well) is a technically better fps, but can’t top the fun of a great BR match in the genre. Had a lot of fun with PUBG and Rocket League before they were F2P too. I really enjoy a match of Splitgate every now and then as well. Don’t mind free to play games as a casual thing, honestly. Looking forward to seeing how Overwatch 2 turns out. That’ll either be the greatest one of all time or the most frustrating… even though Halo Infinite will be hard to beat for its excitement deflating progression system and muddled social media marketing campaign.
Multiversus, however, is the only F2P game I’ve played in 2022. Not 100% sold on playing it long term, as I think it’s inferior to Smash and doesn’t have a campaign. If they threw a campaign on it, I’d probably get more legs out of the game. It’s certainly the best non-Smash Smash game on the market at the moment though. Much more impressive than the disappointing Nickelodeon attempt, which honestly should’ve been F2P as well.
Mostly Halo Infinite but enjoying Multiversus and Fall Guys too.
With all the “controversy” over how it’s been handled, I still like Halo Infinite multiplayer the best. F2P aspect hasn’t bothered me. It just feels great to play!
MultiVersus seems promising though.
Warzone or MultiVerse. For now I’m voting in favor of MultiVerse.
Sure it’s not a perfect replica of Smash but honestly that’s something only Nintendo themselves can pull off. And if they did we’d be stuck playing on Switch without any sort of cross-play I’m sure.
Easily rocket league. Spent an unhealthy amount of time playing rocket league since it first hit psplus back in 2015. Paid several years worth psplus for the main reason of being able to play it online before it went f2p.
It’s my favourite most played game of last gen by quite some margin.
Rocket league is so good it survives the worse community I’ve ever known.
Splitgate it's like halo but better lol
Rocket League with doubt .
I've been obsessed for 2 years. Just wish I could be a better player.
Love the tournaments and ice hockey variant. Sometimes feel as though the game mismatches opponents and team mates at times.
Probably Smite. I got a lot of mileage out of that game back in 2017-2018
@Nic-Noc20th-C I feel like that as well though it's mostly to do with afk teammates on my part. Which rank did you get to then?
Halo
Splitgate
Rocket League
Apex Legends
Fortnite (zero build mode... try it, it's great!)
Fall Guys
... all getting a lot of my time.
Just don't get on with Warzone... pretty much done with CoD... but hoping MS can rescue it.
Will have to check out Multiversus... Hadn't heard of it, but it seems to be getting a lot of love.
@antstephenson Zero Build mode is the only way I'll play Fortnite now. I actually do well when I haven't got 99 kids building architectural masterpieces all around me.
I think Path of Exiles is the one I played most. Tried warzone, destiny 2 and halo infinite mp, but I'm not a big Pvp fan, so I tend to stay away from those titles mentioned. I rather play a single player game nowadays. Used to play tons of mmos but always having to wait on others or feeling the need to over perform in mp games made me not wanting to play those type of games anymore. Except for a trial run here and there whne is there is a new game to see how it is.
World of Tanks and World of Warships for me.
World of Warships Legends, i have like 3000 hours on the PC version and recently started with the console version and it's really good
Fortnite
MultiVersus
Fall Guys
Halo Infinite Multiplayer
I wish Path of Exile was supported better on console. It also needs Cross-Play & Cross-Progression.
Is Multiverse on Game Pass? Can’t find it on the ios app???
Pretty good distribution across the board here. And I like pretty much all of the games getting over 10% except fortnite. My pick is halo infinite and followed by Rocket League and Fall Guys.
Seriously nobody thought to mention Warframe but they included actual crash grab free-to-play garbage. I feel personally offended.
@sjbsixpack no, it's already free to play.
A plagues tale. Lovely little game just gets a bit repetitive.
Fortnite for me out of that list. My Fiancé and I have great times playing it together, and since it's multi-platform (even on mobile and cloud) it's easy to play wherever with all your friends.
Not on that list would be the Star trek Online MMO. The PC version is the superior platform, and there's no cross play or transferring accounts. Though it's a great game if you're Star Trek fan like me, and a decent enough game if you're not.
@Hutchieace The one with the killer rats? I didn't realise that'd been released for free. Is that to promote the upcoming sequel?
@PhileasFragg yes it’s in game pass been playing it since Friday - new ones available in October 😁
@Hutchieace If it's on GP then it's not "Free" as you still have to pay to play it unlike the other games on this list.
@Markatron i found it. It’s very good. Like smash bros.
Just Halo Infinite at the moment. I was playing Apex Legends last season but I'm taking a break for a while.
I dabbled in Fall Guys and in the past Splitgate and Fortnite but I honestly only want to have one battle pass focused game on my list right now.
