In and amongst all of the Xbox Games Showcase news, we have information on our very first Redfall patch! Version 1.1 of Arkane's Game Pass FPS is out now, and the team has also provided a brief update on the upcoming 60FPS mode.
This patch focuses on the game's graphics and enemy AI mostly, and as you've probably already guessed, it doesn't contain the performance mode. Here's an update on that from the team:
"We’re grateful to see that millions of you have explored the quaint but dangerous open world of Redfall. Building a play space this large has been humbling to say the least. We recognize that we still have work to do, and we plan to address as much as we can, as quickly as we can.
Today’s release is only our first patch and introduces a lot of incremental fixes that will improve Redfall. Once available, we will be sharing more information about future updates, including our 60 FPS Performance mode, on our official social channel."
So, we have a little longer to wait for 60FPS Redfall, but it's good to hear that the team is still working on it. Anyway, down below are the full patch notes for Redfall version 1.1 - it's certainly a big update!

I guess bethesda thought that programming multiplayer games is an easy task... Sadly, for anything on this planet, you need to try , make mistakes and continue to improve.
Arkane will survive to this industrial error, but all the skilled employees are gone elsewhere now....
Well....it's a start. Maybe it will be out of Alpha soon.
I just finished the campaign last night. It is a 6.5/10 for me. The world is fun to explore, and I like the vibe of the game. Combat and gameplay are average. What really brings it down for me is the mission design, enemy AI, and bugs in my multiplayer sessions that caused us to restart a couple times almost every session.
Doesn't really matter what they do with it it's q terrible game full stop
Completed it a few weeks ago...was okay the ai defo was atrocious...won't return to it again ..but I could see it having potential to me a good game in others eyes if they fix all the issues
With some of these improvements might give it a 2nd try. The 60fps was never a thing for me but the bugs and AI was just awful
Should have delayed it 2 months and had all that in at launch.
dont care about bugs, i want 60 fps day 1 on all game as promised. wat so hard to understand xbox?
I played the whole game. Overall, I liked it. There were alot of bugs with the game and it didn't look nearly as good as I thought it would, but not that bad. When they do the 60 fps, I'll definitely go back and do new game +.
Seeing this list makes me sad. Glad they're improving but I doubt this game will do a good comeback.
Some much needed QoL improvements. I might give it a go on PC, I genuinely can’t stand 30 fps anymore. Kinda sad but it is what it is.
Removed - flaming/arguing
I'm tempted to do another playthrough with one of the other 3 characters sometime.l but I might wait for a couple of the patches to drop.
This game could cure cancer tomorrow and people would still complain about it.
I fired it up just for kicks to see if things were better....they aren't. I immediately got stuck in the geometry. The enemies now do the Cyberpunk Cop thing and kinda pop out of thin air. There is STILL no lobby or matchmaking. I'm just gonna try and forget this game is a thing till next year. What a total waste of money.
Big Up for this update!
@Wheatly as someone that beat Redfall around 30 hours of gameplay. The game was in rough shape, but i could see the good in it at times, i like the art style and vampires. I found the game 3-4 months and these type of patches away from being a 7 maybe a 8 out of 10 for me. So i agree. Deep down i want this game to come back and at least be good enough that others and myself will come back to it on GP. This is a huge update and if the game get’s 2-3 more sized patches like this i will go back and beat it for the rest of the achievements. I know i will get mad fun of but i kind of like Redfall and am routing for it.
@Somebody same here, 2-3 more updates of this size and then 60FPS and i will beat it again and get these rest of the achievements. I beat it at 30 hours and man was it in rough shape. I am glad to see they are fixing the game before 60fps. 60fps isn’t going to help if all the other stuff is still broken. I am routing for this game to be better cause there is stuff i really like about it. This update is on the right track.
@Romans12 same here, well said. Come on Redfall don’t give up. Be the next Sea of thieves. On GP people will give you a second chance. I know i will. Would love to play online with some of you on here. Happy to see some positive vibes around the game. I gave it a 4/10 after beating it but with 2-3 more updates like this and 60fps i could go to a 7.5/10
@Wheatly good point, i agree. Redfall has a long way to go to get back to good, but a few more sized updates like this, 60fps and a good DLC and it can crawl back to what i thought it would be all along and that’s a good game that isn’t a system seller but enjoyed with friends in co-op over GP. I hope it get’s there.
@Moonglow i understand what you mean there. I am only coming back after 2-3 more good sized updates like this one, plus 60fps and the DLC map with extra characters. Then i will give it a spin. I said i beat it in 30 hours i think it was more like 34-36 something like that. It is long and i tried to do most of it. But i agree they have a long way to go, but i have my eye open for it, i hope we see much more updated and fixed. There’s plenty left to achieve with the game if they put in the work. 60fps will be icing on the cake, so i hope they hold off a little longer on that and continue to fix what was broken in 30fps.
No reason why Redfall can't be a Cyberpunk 2077 redemption story. If xbox are willing to continuously invest the time & resources needed. Big if, I know.
Why was it not 60fps at launch? Waste of time doing it now when the verdict is already in and majority of people won't bother with the game because of the state it launched in
Repeating the same mistakes with starfield, performance should always be prioritised over fidelity.
For me, the Vampire Nests are broken with it porting you out at the end but the destabilisation gets stuck at 0.3 or 0.5 secs and the klaxon is still sounding. It doesn't matter where you go, the klaxon is still sounding, you have to shut the game down to stop it. So I rebooted the game and the Nest I had beaten just gets respawned to a different location same zone. I beat a Nest again with the same result, its broken. This is game-breaking for me. Next, Jakes super doesn't work on Vampires anymore, it will not target them at all, another game-breaking bug for me. The jittering in the game is now noticeable and incredibly bad for me but was smooth as silk prior to the update.
All in all a disappointing update for me. On Xbox series X.
As a follow up to my previous post, I uninstalled and reinstalled Redfall and now everything seems to be fine.
