Here's what's leaving Xbox Game Pass on February 28th:

Wonder if I can find time for Far: Changing Tides. 5.5 - 8.5hrs according to HLTB.
God knows why but alien isolation has always passed me by, might be a good idea too give it a go
I already felt Alien Isolation was going to leave so got the complete edition with rewards points recently.
Also seems to be the end of the Square Enix games on gamepass. Almost all are gone by now.
Thankfully I already bought octopath on steam so I can play it both on pc and steam deck
I still want to play dragonball fighter z but the game usually heavily discounted so it's okay I guess.
Octopath Traveller is a big one...just never found the time to play it - and may never considering the sequel is missing the platform.
Could find myself in a situation where I'm playing the first game on Xbox and the sequel on PS5.
It's really low priority on the backlog but a must-play so may use the GP discount to buy it.
@QualityGeezer It's a BRILLIANT game in so many ways, and one of the most atmospheric (play with headphones). It's just a bit long and dragged out imho.

Careful there wouldn't want the universe to implode
Tiny bit bummed that Alien: Isolation is leaving. But it’s dirt cheap elsewhere (in case I don’t have time to finish it).
@themightyant yeah like I said I cant explain why its passed me by even when I've had friends recommend it. Downloading it as we speak tho so better late than never I suppose
@Lavalera yeah, I don’t think there are many games made by Japanese developers left on game pass tbh. No Konami, Square Enix, Capcom or Bandai Namco afaik. Mainly Sega/Atlus left.
It’s about time they get the Actiblizz deal sorted out so Xbox is able to give Game Pass more appeal again (instead of keeping it relatively small) with renewed contracts with developers / publishers. Or just flood it with indie releases.
Do we know what time they leave today? I'm rushing Recompile but I'm at work currently
@Friendly If you mean JRPG wise then yeah. We have mostly Sega games left and Ni No Kuni. We do have Monster Hunter Rise & Gundam which are Capcom and JoJo's bizarre adventure which is Bandai and a few Spike Chunsoft games. But yeah the amount of Japanese games in total is still very low. But we all know that is mostly due to the fact that Japanese games usually sell a lot better on Nintendo and Playstation. It's one of the reasons i bought a PS5 as well, since that gives me access to a lot larger jrpg library.
@Lavalera yeah i did the same thing Alien isolation had been on gamepass for years so it was going to leave eventually so i got Alien isolation the collection with reward points as well when it was £8.99.
Alien Isolation is great, but yeah cheap to buy, Far: Changing Tides is an awesome little game , so if you didn't try it , awesome experience imho.
Octopath Traveller while being great, yeah second one seems to skip Xbox entirely, Square Enix is such a strange company.
@QualityGeezer If you have any interest in the Alien universe/saga then I consider this a must play. The attention to detail is fantastic and it's still the most frightening game I've ever played. Thank goodness it didn't have a VR update. It's one of my favourite games from the last generation but it had a few flaws like anything else. You'll need about 20 hours on average to finish it and for this type of game I think 15 would have been perfect.
Time to play crown trick.
Octopath Traveler is an amazing game, 100%'d it on Switch and still wanna play it on Xbox again for the Achievements. Really weird the sequel as of now isn't on Xbox, but the original isn't on PS and the sequel came to that. Nothing Square does makes sense.
@palahniukslaughter If you can I suggest getting it on Switch as I have found it great to play on the go.
Dang it I’ve been meaning to get around to octopath and alien. I doubt I have time to beat either of them. This sucks.
That's stinks, I have stuff to play anyway.
I tried with Isolation, really did. Just couldn't get into it. And i don't think i've ever said this about any game, but, the less people that play anything ffXIII related, the better
@Lavalera it is a shame, indeed. Especially because I discovered playing turn-based jrpg’s with xcloud gaming is absolutely great on my iphone. I replayed Octopath Traveler on the daily train to work that way.
I’m too busy playing the excellent Hogwarts Legacy to jump into games that are leaving. Not the worst problem lol.
This list hurts … thanks for the feedback on which ones need playing asap!
I really loved Octopath Traveller. I hope that the sequel comes to Xbox even if it happens later, like the first game.
I like crown trick, I had a lot of fun with that game. I may need to purchase when it leaves
goodbye square enix
Ack, was just getting into Octopath Traveller! Might just buy the sequel on Switch, be a shame to lose my progress. Square Enix really seem to be retreating from Game Pass and Xbox as a whole at the moment…
I hope this heralds a decent discount for Octopath Traveler in future
I remember my daughter playing alien isolation on the Xbox one with kinect support for sounds , and me getting her killed by crunching on a Pringle ,she wasnt happy
