I actually just played some Doom Eternal last night, but it's probably my least favorite Doom by now. Doom 3 will always be the best IMO, it pushed the concept forward in ways the later ones never did, and the original release could be considered survival horror.
It is at the point where the American people need to ask why the FTC is continuing to sink so much time and taxpayer money into fighting this deal when they apparently have no issues with far bigger deals that monopolize mass media and communications services, not to mention the big deals with consumer staples that could monopolize those markets, which should be far more concerning for a government agency. I don't think people are going to starve or miss out on vital services because Microsoft bought a video game publisher. This should not be a priority for them.
It's been about a decade since GTAV, crazy how it takes them that long to even release a new trailer for a new entry, so expectations will be sky high.
Probably about 2k, I am always spending them on Xbox gift cards, always seemed like by far the most useful thing for them, it's why I never really save them up much. Might as well just use it for discounts on games/DLC.
Forza Motorsport 5, easily. It's the entire reason I got an Xbox One. In a generation where it took Sony forever to release a GT game, literally the entire generation, it was amazing to get a steady supply of Forza games, which were all great games.
No joke I'll be the odd man out and say Xbox One. I honestly think it's the most under-appreciated console I can think of. I always loved the HDMI pass-through capability, the One X was a fantastic upgrade console, and it introduced a lot of great things like the enhanced backwards compatible games. It was also by far the best 4K console in the early days of 4K, and it delivered IMO the best era of Forza games. Basically so many things that I still love about Xbox to this day, and I still have a One X hooked up to my primary gaming TV thanks to it's pass-through and X enhanced games.
Yeah I do the authentication for just about any account I deem important or valuable by now. Had too many close calls with hack attempts on my email in the past.
There is a good reason why I didn't bother with this. I already have the original HD collection on my Xbox One and this honestly presents very little to desire over that. Like just a moderate improvement here and there, and since I also got Peace Walker I am not really missing out on anything either. Got the original MGS and VR missions on my old PS3 and retro handhelds as well, and considering how that's no remake I have no idea why I would buy this.
@Savage_Joe To be fair this game was pretty much finished by the time Microsoft got control over Activision. This is basically the last product by the old Activision.
Not playing COD, that's for sure. I finally played some Hi-Fi Rush, wasn't exactly a fan of it's rhythm gameplay though. Probably going to play Jusant next, looks like the gameplay is more my style.
@NeutronBomb I think the biggest loss for me with the latest FM is the loss of the ability to easily upgrade any car and go racing with it fully customized just how I want it. When they turned car upgrading into a time consuming grind, where I can't build my ideal version of a car until I have driven it for hours on end, it's simply not fun for me anymore. Heck even the points system for upgrades ruins it, because I can't just do what I want. All the restrictions to car building makes this Forza simply not feel like the Forza games I knew and loved.
When it comes to racing simulators where I can't modify my car, I have no shortage of better or more entertaining games to play. Car modifying has always been the thing that gave Forza an edge for me all these years. They messed with the one thing they shouldn't have messed with, trying to fix something that wasn't broken which broke the experience for me.
@GeeEssEff Problem with critics is how often they will promote games they're paid to promote, and join in bandwagons praising or being critical of certain games. They're not much different from fanboys really.
I mean if I went strictly off what critics and metacritic has to say, I would have missed out on a lot of my favorite games and bought a lot of games I really wouldn't like.

Re: PSA: Baldur's Gate 3 Has A Worrying Issue With Corrupted Saves On Xbox

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 9-10)
Well not BG3 I can say that much. There's a few Gamepass downloads I have been meaning to try.

Re: It's Finally Time! Baldur's Gate 3 Is Available Now For Xbox Series X|S
Luckily this delay gave me enough time to have the dust settle on all they hype to where I could realize how it's not for me.
Re: SEGA Announces Five New Games, All Based On Classic Franchises
FINALLY.
Seriously, as a longtime Sega fan, who loved the Dreamcast era, you have no idea how happy this makes me. I have been waiting a LONG time for this.

Alan Wake 2 doesn't appeal to me at all, and I say that as someone who enjoyed the first one.
Re: Forza Motorsport Update 2 Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Gabrielmpf Yeah it feels like most of the talent and passion has left the industry, so many new games like this just feel soulless.

Hopefully he wasn't responsible for the latest Forza.
Re: TimeSplitters Studio Free Radical Reportedly At Risk Of Closure

Re: Xbox's Dynamic Background Collection Grows With New 'EA Sports WRC' Effort
@johnK They're just animated backgrounds. The one I have always used looks like the old original Xbox background.
