Here at PX HQ, we've done our best to inform you of any Xbox Black Friday deals that have gone live so far - we've seen lots of good discounts across the digital Xbox Store, the Microsoft Store, and various other retailers in the UK and the US. However, we've also noticed that plenty of other great deals are going around throughout the industry, so we're curious - have you been tempted into any big purchases yet?
It's goes without saying that most of our readers probably own an Xbox console, but maybe you wanted to upgrade from a Series S to a Series X and have been waiting for the right deal? Maybe you were looking for a second Series X for that bedroom TV slot? Or, maybe you've been tempted to pick up a PS5 or Switch as of late?
If digital is more your thing, we've been treated pretty well so far in that department. There are some fantastic sales live right now across the Xbox Store, PlayStation Network and Nintendo eShop - so much so that we've had to refrain ourselves from adding too many things to our virtual shopping baskets!
Anyway, whatever the platform, we want to know what big Black Friday gaming purchases you've made so far - or are planning to make in the coming days. Have you picked up a console? Have you laid down some big bucks for an upgrade to your gaming setup?
Tell us how much your bank balance is hurting down in the comments section below.

I've ordered a new laptop 4060 laptop, so I'll give some gaming a go.
Xbox wise, I'm going to just get a new controller. My 1.5 year old controller that came with the console already has some bad stick drift on the right stick. Anyone else experience this so soon?
@BRT15 have a great time with your new laptop!
Really? I've got two controllers with my console back in 2020 and they're completely ok until today. Maybe you've just got bad luck with yours
@BRT15 yeah one of my two controllers didn’t make it to the one year mark…
@Foxx_64740 I wish. My first Elite Series 2 was great my second one, after the first got drift after 3 years, developed it in less than a year. My launch Series X controller had drift in a few months.
Even bought my girlfriend the Horizon 5 controller and matching charge base to replace her launch series X controller that had drift after a few months. The Horizon controller developed drift after 7 months.
It is wild how bad these controllers are getting. Meanwhile, my Launch Xbox zone controller, my Titan Fall controller, and even my 360 controller don't have drift.
They really seem to have cheapened out on the manufacturing process.
Interesting to read your experiences. It's my first rodeo with Xbox and prior to this, my DS4 controllers started having their drifts after 2 years, so this has beaten that (negatively of course).
@BRT15 if you do not mind a wire the gamesir G7 SE is a great controller (it comes with a long 3m braided cable) Its has hall effect sticks and triggers, so drift should never be a problem. The sticks are much nicer to use and way more accurate. Also comes with 2 back buttons and an app to configure everything like deadzones, instant triggers etc. I think its cheap for only 49.99 on amazon, I would almost class it an affordable pro controller. It's also sometimes on sale for 39.99 if you buy at the right time.
Everything Resident Evil which is playable and on Black Friday offer
I added some storage on my main pc and might grab another mini pc. I use one as an emulation "console" (boots to batocera) and love it. I might use this one to manage the twitch stream instead of doing that and running the games on one rig.
On the console side I've already bought a few from gamestop but got my eye on a few other deals. Walmart has some nice prices.
Main thing was finally picking up Marvel's Midnight Suns.
I feel bad for waiting so long, especially, when not a single person on my friends list has played. So far it had been a absolute blast.
Kinda reminds me of Marvel Ultimate Alliance had a baby with XCOM. With a little bit of Knights of the Old Republic added in for good measure with the light side/dark side for the completely customizable player character.
I feel like Marvel's Avengers had left too bad of a taste in everyone's mouth. Was the same story with Guardians of the Galaxy, another fantastic one.
I used my rewards points for Divinity 1 & 2 and splurged on the old Star Wars KOTOR
Bought a series s for a mate of mine. He was saving for ages to get one then last month his phone died and he had to get a new one of those instead. He was gutted as there are more and more games his old xbox one wont play so treating him to an early christmass pressie!
I've bought 17 digital games yesterday. But 2 of them were Double Dragon games which weren't part of the sale.
I nearly pulled the trigger on a PS5, but resisted the urge.
Also hoping for a good deal on Xbox controllers. Need to upgrade an old one.
The Outer Worlds: Spacers Choice Edition, purchased, then played 2h, then refunded, lol, that's it.
And why? Well, what a miserable world of low-humanity high-corp-culture, that I didn't want to spend more time in. Couldn't we have just banded all the people together to overthrow the corps, that would have been a better storyline, like Homefront: The Revolution.
Oh well, that's just my personal view. So, back to Starfield side-missions...
@Aidax89
This is The Way, The Sect of the Nazarenes.
This is going to be a year of hurt, lol.
I’ve already purchased an Xbox Series X w/ Starfield & Diablo IV, a wireless headset for gaming, and Atari 50 for the Switch. I’ll be on the hunt for digital purchases this week.
For those who just play COD campaigns, I grabbed MW2 for 20 at Target
I bought Quantum Break and Control Ultimate Edition. Whenever I get around to beating those, I'm sure Allen Wake 2 will be on sale for cheap enough for me to buy it.
@BRT15 my controller that came with it had bad stick drift about the same time, maybe 2 years? I got the extend warranty and got a replacement but now that one just started with stick drift as well. I have 2 more controllers but it's annoying. I'm waiting for the new one with the magnetic sticks before i buy another one. Hopefully it's actually a thing next year.
A few under 20 games. I have some stuff in my cart in the MS store but will wait a little longer.
Not really. I bought the new Crew game for my PS5, might get Dead Island 2
@InterceptorAlpha Midnight Suns was very good, I liked the tweak on the xcom formula, good use of the license and the social sim and exploration aspects were ok, too. And discounted to what, $20 in this sale? Very nice!
I haven't picked up anything yet, but I just checked on Switch and a big chunk of my wish list is on sale, so I may be making some purchases. The second Katamari game is half off and portal collection is deeply discounted
plus some indies... There are a handful I'm thinking about on xbox. Have not seen much on ps for me
Nothing so far.
😳
So far I got a new laptop for myself which should be arriving later today. For the family I got a couple of Xbox controllers.
@Sakai I wanted to get this initially but not a fan of the fact that it's wired. Just cant stand cables running all over the place, would have gotten it if it was wireless.
Yes a new iPad which should run Game Pass, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and others well while I am away over Christmas. I was always buying this was just waiting for sales and got £75 off.
Other than that the only impulse buy was the new Steam Deck OLED, I wasn't going to buy it but it answered ALL my criticisms with the launch model. When I realised I could sell my original for £70 less than I paid for it, it was a no brainer.
Not expecting to buy anything else.
@BRT15 Yes I had stick drift on both my launch Xbox Series X and PS5 Dual Sense. I've had to replace both. Both products use the exact same analogue part, and the same as last gen.
Dual Sense is especially annoying as when I plug it into the PC for testing the amount of offset is actually quite minor, less than on my 10 year old PS4 pad which doesn't drift, but the software in PS5 must have a much smaller deadzone. I assume it's similar on Xbox Series Controllers. Unfortunately you can't change the deadzone at a system level, only in certain games, unless you have the pro controller.
I picked up a PS5 Slim Spider Man 2 bundle for $499. It's for my nephew. I told him he was better off getting a Series S with a Game Pass subscription but he said he wanted a PS5. He's 13. I remember getting the wrong Christmas present from a relative at that age, it's horrible. So I wanted to get him exactly what he wanted.
@Kienda Might have been the right call, my ps5 has been collecting dust tbh
I just bought a few games: divinity 1 and 2, control, the witcher 3 complete, the new ghouls and ghosts, duke nukem (hiliarious) and debating picking up sekiro
Bought those. Had to buy Playstation version of games because they were cheaper physically
$40 Xbox controller
$20 Elden Ring
$20 Persona 5 Royal
Waffling on
$16 Sifu on PSN
$35 AC VAlhalla Complete Edition
Thanks to Microsoft for dropping AMEM. I'm now working on backlog games previous bought and free to buy the stuff I wanted.
Probably gonna pick up the Indiana Jones Lego collection for less than a fiver. Great games. I'd like to get Antstream Arcade but it's not on sale and £30 for a year is a bit steep for all retro. I do love my retro gaming though. Might check see if Atari 50 comes on sale for Xbox too.
Picked up Mad Max for £3 and a couple of cheap games for the PS4. Also ordered a 4070 gaming laptop for my son (to last him 4-5 years to uni).
Saving all my pennies for some new hi fi speakers. Not that pennies will help - their £6K
My Series X is mothballed till I find out if the ABK teams will be subject to any more effective oversight or just left to operate in the way they always have, so no spending their despite a need for yet another controller (no stick drift, I get 'sticky' shoulder buttons on all my xbox controllers?)
Spent the silly money getting a PS portal, but playing teardown on it yesterday almost made it feel like value for money.
Hope you all get some great bargains!
I bought my 'Xbox Series X' from Microsoft at the end of October, for the full price, £479.99, the price has dropped to £359.99 in the Black Friday sale.
So, I took advantage of their 60 day 'Price Promise Guarantee' and got the £120 difference refunded, not bad at all.
I always buy big items on black friday. This year i picked up the Klipsch K100-SW (250w 10'' powered sub) and the Yamaha RX-V6A amplifier, both for my game room. I also picked up robocop rogue city. Great game.
