Getting P5R on Switch, but Elden Ring and Deathloop on Xbox (mostly because neither will come to Switch, but also I like shooters on Xbox).

While watching Thursday Night Football (US), I saw an ad for COD on PS and laughed hysterically because of this ongoing saga.

Also, Nintendo has gotten on fine without COD. Maybe Sony should focus on making more games if they want to "compete." Which is laughable that they pretend cannot happen, since they are often the market leader.

Wild how I'm reading this on Pure Xbox and it isn't on Nintendo Life.

Cel shading usually ages well, so I'm mostly okay with the look. I only own one NFS so I may get this, too.

And this game does look a little 2002 in some ways. Not sure if that's good or bad, yet.

So if Nintendo and Sony have greater competition, will COD become Xbox exclusive?

I wonder how many of these editions would be sold at retail if it weren't for hardware shortages. I know for X1 and 360, MS did some very cool special editions.

I bought the XSX version of GTA V earlier this year with MS rewards points. First time buying it, it's fine...

So the price is slightly higher for the full release. I know many of us Xbox owners are GP subs, but for the 5 of us that aren't, we like to know the MSRP of MS games. Lol

Well, this and Elden Ring are on my buy list for Xbox. Can't ignore two 10's.

I don't think they're raising prices. Honestly, they can sustain losses for a bit anyway.

Sounds pretty generous of MS, they have no obligation to please people who bought a PS console and vice versa. Jim Ryan, of course, is pretending he doesn't know how competition works and his company wouldn't block COD from Xbox if given the chance.

Why? Sony paid to ensure that they had exclusive features for their console. Might as well return the favor.

ES is big but not COD big and Starfield had no announced platforms when they revealed it. Sure, people assumed it would include PS, but that was no guarantee. There really is no comparison between Starfield and COD, the latter of which MS has explicitly stated will come to PS.

I know it's an odd feeling for entitled PS gamers and apparently the market that some good games won't come to their favorite console, but that's life.

Edit: before you chime in and say something about me, I own a Switch and an XSX. I've been a Nintendo fan for ages, so it's really not at all a weird feeling to see some games skip my favorite console. Not even a little bit.

COD will probably remain multiplat, but if others become exclusive I won't lose any sleep.

@antstephenson I loved the first game on Orange Box, but just never got around to 2 so I'm inclined to believe it.

I doubt they'll continue it for much longer. Feels like they've wanted to make Game Pass the focus for a while.

We can't compare one game to another. That's illegal. To describe any game, you must not compare it to anything that's ever existed. In fact, people should just make up an entirely new language whenever a new game I like comes out. That's just how the world should work since every idea ever is wholly original.

It's a tie been Avowed and ES VI, for me.

Though I hope Fallout 5 is a return to form.
