EA has fully revealed its Monster Hunter-like 'Wild Hearts' after teasing its announcement earlier this week. The game's first trailer showcases what Wild Hearts is going for thematically, and the team says to expect a proper gameplay reveal on October 5th.
Speaking of nearby dates, Wild Hearts' launch isn't far off either! The upcoming next-gen-only title is set to hit Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5 on February 17th 2023, after roughly four years in development. Here's a quick description of the game:
Master ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts. WILD HEARTS™ is a unique twist on the hunting genre where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op.
Developed by Omega Force, the Japanese studio behind the DYNASTY WARRIORS franchise and in partnership with EA Originals, WILD HEARTS takes you on an epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan.
Well, this sounds like a bit of a different direction for an EA-published title! The company does like to mix things up with its 'Originals' label though, which has produced the likes of Unravel, A Way Out, and It Takes Two, among others. Wild Hearts looks set to be next on that list in early 2023!
Will you be playing this one when it launches next Feb? Let us know down below.

Looks promising. Hopefully will have one of those 10-hour EA Play trials!
Will wait for it to go on EA Play
I really like the look of this and its good to see some competition for the monster hunter market.
It looks like the weapon crafting will be inventive and it looks graphically nice - lets just hope the gameplay holds up!
Thank god its coming in Feb 23 though, there's almost nothing releasing then so its welcome - NOT!
At least by the time we've run out of titles to play this will be cheap or on GP
Hopefully it's more suited to single player experience than MH is.
This might be awesome. Think I'll get it at launch.
This looks pretty good and now is second in my February wanted list.
February is now looking pretty stacked with this, dead island 2, hogwarts legacy, atelier ryza 3, deliver us Mars, Kirby return to dreamland and Theatrhythm final bar line.
I'm not into Monster Hunter but this looks pretty freaking cool.
@Kaloudz same for me, the recent gameplay just looked like pure fun, I don't even care about the story in those games, I just enjoy exploring the map, crafting and combat. Looks gory as hell as well.
@Kaloudz Hogwarts Legacy does indeed look pretty good and would of been my dream game as a kid but I'm still pretty hyped for it although I will get it on playstation for the extra side quest which looked dark in terms of the dungeon and enemies. I would like to see more information on the seasons and how the day cycles work, is it like rune factory where you have to sleep every day and every 28 days the season changes, and what events/changes each season brings etc
I was all ready to say that I don't have a lot of faith in a Western Studio doing an MH clone since what's so great about MH is intrinsically Japanese....and then I saw the Koei logo. That sounds pretty interesting.
But this is a strange collab. Why is the EA Originals (indie publishing arm) label publishing a game for Koei-Tecmo, itself, a publisher? Wouldn't that be like 2K publishing an Assassin's Creed game for Ubisoft? Strange. But it looks interesting.
@NEStalgia Koei- Tecmo has retained the IPs rights. I’m guessing internal that’s on EA is able to do this. That said a lot of KT’s games are published by others or owned IPs like Fire Emblem Three Hopes.
@mousieone true, they do publish via Nintendo, Sega, etc, but that's almost always with licensed content/Collab work. EA publishing a Japanese game for Koei, not licenced or colab, under any indie sub label is definitely something about as expected as Bloodborne on switch.
I am still so loving that avatar
@NEStalgia well they have a nice open space. With Rise being Switch only, I guess EA jumped and just figured out the details later.
And Hee-Ho!
@mousieone
Rise is not Switch only
@lon3wolf2002 yes I know it’s on PC but as been pointed out the overlap between console and PC is very small.
