Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson is reporting that Disney's internal Star Wars schedule is now aiming for new games every six months or so, including "one major AAA title and one smaller game" per year.
The report also lists the Star Wars titles we already know are in development right now, although some aren't set to release for some time yet. One of those titles is Quantic Dream's project, Eclipse, which was officially revealed at The Game Awards 2021.
Earlier on last year, EA lost its exclusive license to develop Star Wars games, which means the IP is now open to a broader set of development studios. Even so, EA is still developing multiple Star Wars titles itself, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from Respawn Entertainment. If this reported Disney schedule is accurate, EA's efforts will likely remain a major component of future Star Wars plans.
For now, this is just a report and should be taken as such. Even with that in mind, it's looking like a lot more Star Wars is heading our way in the near future!

That would be impressive. Kinda reminds me of the amount of Star Wars games on the original Xbox.
Does anyone else want a Mando game? I saw a “leak” a while back and it looked like something I would love to play.
Bring on all the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Marvel games, tv shows and movies!! I am here for it all and i hope it never stops! The more the better. Some will be great, some will be good and some will be not so good, and that is ok with me.
Star Wats means nothing any more. Way too many soulless, middling releases that have only made the prequels look better in hindsight. At least there was some actual heart and humanity behind those, all the Disney stuff is made-by-committee, and run through so many focus-groups that every rough edge that might have made it interesting is sanded away into nothingness.
Ah yes. The Activision-Ubisoft method.
Flood the market with your products to the point of fatigue.
Might be in the minority here but I don't like any of the Marvel TV Shows, Star wars movies and shows since Disney take over have also been terrible. But good for those who enjoy this stuff
@senote I’m hoping for Detention Level Garbage Masher Simulator.
How about another Aliens vs Predator game? Or at least separate Aliens and/or Predator game that's not multiplayer only.
I’m here for it.
Well they've already oversaturated the video space, time to move on to gaming!
Anything Sith central? Ready to conquer the galaxy instead of saving it again and again.
@senote EA does not created quality games, they just make lottery mechanic loot based games. Hopefully at least a gem will come out every couple years now after dodging a some duds. The one gem would be worth it.
RIP Star Wars games. 🤦♂️
Unless someone is finally going to remake/remaster SOTE or make a proper Star Wars game with dismemberment like most of the old movies had anyway, I'm not interested. They're lightsabers, not ***** baseball bats. One place people WANT realism and the devs are afraid to do it because it's owned by Disney now. FFS
Of course, they've ruined the movies with wokeness. Why not destroy the games as well?
@SmoothlyRough The only SW movie I really hate is Solo. I didn't like the casting for the 2 mains, and it leaves us without knowing what happened to Emilia Clarke's character. Are we just to assume Darth Maul killed her or what?
Seriously it's needed so much. I miss the days when we would get a movie game for star wars. For example star wars episode 3. That game was great.
Oh, great. I'm sure this will end differently than how they treated the movies.
This is... not a good idea. If they maintain a high quality fair enough. However I doubt that will be the case. Plus I like Star Wars as much as the next guy but I already canceled my Disney+ to get a break from the constant shower of Star Wars stuff. Now this? There's no escape!
A Han Solo simulator, like Elite where you have to smuggle things across the galaxy and dodge the empire whilst maybe navigating a story.
@Korgon I'd rather the market be flooded with games and maybe get a couple good ones than go 10 years without a new game like ***** Bond did.
@NoLifeDGenerate
That's a good point. It has been far too long since we had a good Bond game. Hopefully that one from the Hitman team turns out well.
Two titles a year split between devs maybe means no sacrifice on quality, but skeptical on that until I see it first hand.
Love it. Bring me more Star Wars!
@NoLifeDGenerate That used to be how it was. Do we remember the star wars movie games and that era? Still to this day episode 3 video game is amazing. Way more with a chance of some being good is way way better than not many at all.
