Well, Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has just dropped a few bombshells here! During the company's strategy update that took place today, October 4th, it was revealed that the team is indeed working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, alongside a couple of other internal projects.
One of those, as we already know, is the new 'Witcher Saga', which is currently in development using Unreal Engine for the very first time. However, the team is also at work on a brand new IP, currently codenamed 'Project Hadar':
That new property has been in its "incubation" phase since late last year, so don't expect to see it anytime soon! Still, we now know the Polish developer is even busier than we had first anticipated.
Interestingly, this strategy update has also confirmed that, at present, the new Witcher saga is planned to be a trilogy. The team has labelled its upcoming Witcher plans a "new Witcher trilogy" for the first time, so we can probably expect at least three more Witcher titles in the future!
Which of these 3 CDPR projects are you most hyped for? Come tell us down below.

If this game ever sees the light of day, remember NO PRE-ORDERS! CD Projekt Red doesn't deserve a single cent until they prove that we can trust them again. Until then, support studios that actually deserve your money.
@UndyingInsurgent95 <---- What he said
Still waiting on that Witcher 3 update....
@UndyingInsurgent95 No developer deserves money before a game is released. Period. Full stop.
Witcher 4 2027...cyberpunk 2077 part 2 2036..new IP 2050
@UndyingInsurgent95 you should never pre order games whether it is from CDPR or another developer. Support the developer with money once the game is officially released and it turns out well.
Shouldn’t they make the first Cyberpunk good before they do that?
Good news! I really enjoyed cyberpunk and hope it becomes a long running franchise for them.
CyberPunk was a top 3 game for me when it came on. Absolutely LOVED that game.
Can't wait for the sequel!
Cyberpunk was….alright, after it was finally patched and playable.
Didn’t hit me as a game that deserves a sequel though.
CP 2077 sequel!! This news made my day. Day one for me and I don't care what anyone says.
With how well the first game sold, this is not remotely surprising.
I don’t blame them for making a sequel, as they’ve likely learned quite a bit regarding the first release, mainly that idiots will defend their practices and then also fund said behaviour in the droves.
I found it quite a fun game on Stadia where I played it at the time, but I wouldn’t say it grabbed me like I was hoping. It felt rather dead behind the eyes, like very two dimensional in its actual structure somehow. I don’t know quite how to describe it.
But each to their own and all that, but yes, if I made the kind of money they did, of what was essentially a massive failure of a launch and bad PR, I’d release another too.
As for their Witcher series my friends will no doubt love that, and the other IP we know nothing about, so I guess wait and see.
CDPR: Trolling us and trolling themselves.
Btw, loved Cyberpunk 2077.
Witcher 3 next gen?
Unless CDPR fixes their rigid camera and controls I have no interest. At all.
Sad because really think cyberpunk was fun what was able to play.
@UndyingInsurgent95 Which are none.
Hopefully this one won't be stuck in pre production for ages then rushed out unfinished.
