@Dan1283 It’s a shame you have such a narrow view of what’s a good game. Almost all of these are good games, especially NFS Unbound, Bramble and F.I.S.T. (A lauded former PS5 exclusive coming to Xbox and GamePass on Day One).

I’ve had this game since it was released and generally really like it. I just wish they’d have a setting to decrease police presence. It really becomes a pain in the ass when you have six or seven cops chasing you and you lose a few and then suddenly more pop up.

Only gripe with the game. Racing itself is a blast!

@Zoidpilot4 Most of the games being added to PS Plus are older games. While most of the games being added to GamePass are newer games. (Though there are a few older ones this time)

I’ve already played Far Cry 6 and Rogue Legacy 2 and pretty much all of the games that I would have been interested in for PS Plus Extra.

Sony is doing a great job, no doubt. It just isn’t as much value to me as it’s usually games I’ve played already (many of which I played on GamePass).

They’re very different subscriptions IMO and complement each other well, especially for those that haven’t played some of the bigger slightly older games. Win-win for many gamers.

F.I.S.T. is an outstanding game. Played it on PS5. Glad to see it on GamePass Day One!

Nice review! Definitely will get this at some point. Just so many games on my plate right now and adding FF 16 to it later this week.

Not sure I agree with some of these being called RPGs but I would have put Cassette Beasts in there. Such a good game with both Pokémon and Zelda vibes.

I’m hoping for a 10 but going to be cautious and go with a 9.

These are an amazing set of games and I don’t know how anyone could expect better.

Pretty interesting how different the review here and the 8/10 reviews at Push Square are. Also that they thought the sequel was not as good as the original. But always good to hear different perspectives!

I wish all you guys upset at 30 FPS would read the tweets out there from the entire Digital Foundry team talking about why it should/needs to be 30 FPS. There’s a lot more to it than just resolution. But whatever, hope everyone enjoys playing something else. I’m excited for Starfield!

Just means the top two contenders for GoTY, Tears of the Kingdom and Starfield, will be 30 FPS games. Fine with me.

Bottom line: if you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Don’t tell other people what they can or can’t enjoy.

@UltimateOtaku91 Redfall is (supposed to be) a fast paced shooter. Starfield is a massive RPG. Maybe one of the biggest games ever in scope. Much different. I expected 60 FPS for Redfall. I expected 30 FPS for Starfield. Two different expectations for me. That’s why I complained for one game and not the other. Others probably feel the same and that’s why you’re not seeing the same backlash.

Ah, let all the disappointed people go back to playing the interactive movies they get on PlayStation here and there. Oh wait, aside from Spider-Man there really isn’t much with of anything first party even dated on PS at all is there? Well, that kinda sucks.

Guess my PS5 will be gathering dust for a while.

I can all but guarantee that this will be a 30 FPS game and I kind of expect it to be. With the size and scope of the game, I’m not sure it would be feasible to get 60 FPS on any console or PC without some really steep resolution cuts. Even Digital Foundry has said they expect 30 FPS.

If it runs a smooth 30 FPS, I’ll be a happy camper.

Looks fantastic and anyone who played the first game knows it isn’t an action heavy fighting game. It looks just like I expect it to be and can’t wait!

I actually thought everything, including the combat, was well polished for a game still fairly far out from release. Fun stuff and can’t wait until the full game!

I actually thought it looked pretty good. Honestly the only thing in the entire showcase that got me excited.

Got Diablo 4 Ultimate with that $30 Just For You glitch last week. It’s fantastic!

Says a lot about people’s tastes in games when well-reviewed games like Cassette Beasts (86 on OpenCritic), Planet of Lana (81) and Fuga 2 (84) are all “terrible”. Thankfully I enjoy all kinds of good games.

Cassette Beasts is outstanding. Easily my favorite of the month though Planet of Lana and Fuga 2 are good as well.

The Big Con has a 96% Very Positive rating on Steam. Sounds promising!

This is why Ubisoft+ is a huge waste of money at its current price point. They’re constantly giving deep discounts on their games.

Enjoyed the first one so look forward to the sequel.

@Cherip-the-Ripper Yeah, it’s not much of a contest. FWIW, this month’s GWG was decent for me at least.

Three of these are day one releases and have really been looking forward to The Bunker. Probably $60-70 in new releases alone. And Rune Factory 4 is a great add. This list is far better than GWG.

Nice mix of games. Amnesia, The Big Con, Rune Factory 4 and Dordogne are all calling my name. Sure there will also be GP drops during the showcase.

@BobCoffee I’m not a simulator fan either but they are hugely popular. Check Steam for just about any one of them and they’ll have tens of thousands of reviews.

Cassette Beasts is fantastic. And that soundtrack…beautiful stuff. Wish you guys could do a review to bring more attention to it. One of my favorite RPGs in a while.

Already played Eastern Exorcist last night. Starts slow but once more and more is added to the combat, it’s pretty fun. Only complaint is that there’s too many loading screens. They’re all very short but to get one every few minutes takes you out of the experience. Overall worth checking out though!

Looking forward to it! As a side note, it seems like Pure Xbox has slowed down on reviews. Have they become less of a priority? Or just staffing issues?

Overrated game IMO. Cute at first but got boring quick for me. Glad others liked it.
