Welcome to another Xbox Game Pass day! We've got three games joining the library today, two of which are brand-new releases for console, and all of which have received good reviews across the web.
Cassette Beasts, for example, has a Metacritic rating of 83 and a Steam rating of "Overwhelmingly Positive", while Massive Chalice sits at a slightly lower 73 on Metacritic. Railway Empire 2 doesn't have a Metacritic score just yet, but the first couple of reviews for that one have also been positive.
You'll find more information about each of these new Xbox Game Pass games below, along with trailers.
Cassette Beasts - Console (Already On PC)
"Collect awesome monsters to use during turn-based battles in this open-world RPG. Combine any two monster forms using Cassette Beasts’ Fusion System to create unique and powerful new ones!"
Massive Chalice - Console, Cloud
"MASSIVE CHALICE is a tactical strategy game set on an epic timeline from Double Fine Productions. As the Immortal Ruler of the nation, you'll take command of its heroes, forge heroic marriages to strengthen your Bloodlines, and battle a mysterious enemy known as the Cadence in a 300 year war."
Railway Empire 2 - Console, PC
"Don the coat of a clever entrepreneur, take over a small railway company in the early 1800s and turn your steam engines into the workhorses of the economy. Grow your company into the largest railway company of the continent and outsmart your competitors."

Definitely gonna give Cassette Beasts a shot, it looks pretty neat
Chalice sounds like Crusaider King 3
Hyped for Cassette Beats! Is UK release time later again? The other two are already available 🤔
@AgentCooper It's later in the day, yep. Not sure on the exact time, but it'll be around 4-6pm BST I believe.
I'm weirdly interested in Railway Empire 2 as I always love management / simulator games - but will likely give both of the others a go too...
@FraserG Thanks pal 👍
None of the above Zelda TOTK all the way.
Perfect timing for Cassette Beasts to drop. My roommate is moving out of my place today so I’ll finally have my TV all to myself again. I love old-school Pokémon experiences with twists so I’ll probably start playing it tonight.
@Kaloudz Yes CB seems like the big winner of my time… enjoying Supralands at the moment…
I'm going to lay some track and make some imaginary money.
I still play the old railroad tycoon games and Sid Miers Railroads from time to time. It's an oddly fascinating genre.
@Somebody haha same here. I'm no train spotter, but I too am oddly fascinated by actually watching model trainsets do their thing if you know what I mean.
@munstahunta What a mental comment ToTK is so last week. We have all moved on.
I played about an hour of Cassette Beasts this morning and I think I love it already lol. It has that Octopath 2DHD look to it, it has several mechanics Pokemon doesn't have and full vocalized music and beautiful cutscenes
Isn't Massive Chalice a really old games with gold title?
Cassette Beasts is fantastic. And that soundtrack…beautiful stuff. Wish you guys could do a review to bring more attention to it. One of my favorite RPGs in a while.
@NotoriousWhiz thats what i thought too!
