These Seven Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (June 22 - July 5)

If you are into Nordic fantasy folklore, Bramble: The Mountain King is incredible. Its a super short game, like 5 hours or so, but it is excellent. Whimsical, yet super dark thematically.

F.I.S.T. is an outstanding game. Played it on PS5. Glad to see it on GamePass Day One!

This is actually a pretty good selection. There’s at least 4 I want to play; Bramble the mountain king (which I came very close to buying at launch!), NFS unbound, Arcade paradise and FIST.

Pretty excited about F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow I've wanted to give it a go since release on Switch, but waited for deep sale there. Now with better graphics on GP!

This is amazing, but is it just me or is PS Plus beating Gamepass to the punch recently, I mean, there has been some awesome additions this month, Fary Cry 6 AND Rouge Legacy 2.

That's not to say Gamepass is doing bad, it just seems to have settled down in terms of oomph. Then again, Redfall was only last month and had it been as great as they wanted it to be things wouldn't feel so flat.

Not long until Starfield, so I guess that also has to be taken into account.

Still, as a PS plus and Gamepass subscriber, I'm eating very well haha

@Zoidpilot4 yeah they seem to have come to a bit of a halt for the past two months in my opinion.
Maybe they expected the actibliz deal to go through sooner, that would've meant a whole backlog of games + diablo IV.
Anyway nfs is bound to keep me busy for a short while until dead space drops as well

I own Story of Season. Would recommend if you like Stardew etc

I recently played Bramble the Mountain King on PS5 and I reccomend it highly, such a dark and gruesome game, I would say it belongs in the horror category.

@Cherip-the-Ripper I agree, if it wasn't for the hurdles we'd be having a massive influx of Activision games. It's still to come I hope...

@Zoidpilot4 Most of the games being added to PS Plus are older games. While most of the games being added to GamePass are newer games. (Though there are a few older ones this time)

I’ve already played Far Cry 6 and Rogue Legacy 2 and pretty much all of the games that I would have been interested in for PS Plus Extra.

Sony is doing a great job, no doubt. It just isn’t as much value to me as it’s usually games I’ve played already (many of which I played on GamePass).

They’re very different subscriptions IMO and complement each other well, especially for those that haven’t played some of the bigger slightly older games. Win-win for many gamers.

@themightyant Do you think this is because they plan to focus on more of their own produced games? Or is Sony getting their first? Either way, it's really interesting, and benefits us gamers

@awp69 I agree, most of the games they get do tend to be games that Gamepass already has, or had. I guess what makes Gamepass stand out is the day 1 games, including the upcoming Starfield. I'm assuming Xbox are slowing down because they want to start focusing on quality, instead of quantity. But that's just a guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony are making grabs for games before Gamepass can.

This is the type of competition which benefits us gamers

@TheCrafter1578 5 hours sounds about perfect for a Pass game right now. Good, quick games are a rarity.

I'm glad I held off on buying Need for Speed Unbound so I will definitely play that!

It will be interesting where Gamepass is at after Starfield and hopefully the aquistion of Activision

What a pathetic list of games I'm going cancel till starfield is released why would I want play any of this it's been pretty terrible recently gamepass has

@Kaloudz I would have loved to seen Diablo a day one release.

After the amazing releases we've had, a couple of dry spells (for me personally) ain't so bad. September starfield pretty much makes the entire sub worth it haah

@Kaloudz yeah I couldn't get along with pay day either =( I really wanted to because the concept is fun.

I’ll be trying NFS, see if its any good. I’ve been spoiled with VR racing though so we’ll see.

Dont miss Bramble, short but good. And grim.

@Dan1283 It’s a shame you have such a narrow view of what’s a good game. Almost all of these are good games, especially NFS Unbound, Bramble and F.I.S.T. (A lauded former PS5 exclusive coming to Xbox and GamePass on Day One).

Oh cool F.I.S.T is coming to GP? I loved me a good Jazz Jackrabbit in the day and I wouldn't mind diving into a small rabbit shooter. 😂

@Dan1283 Exoprimal in July. Looks like a Warframe/Monster Hunter but waves instead of big Mons mashup.

I'm most excited about the Book game that was recently announced, but Bramble, FIST and Arcade Paradise have all been of interest or actually wishlisted in the past. Great set of Gamepass adds for me. I need to hurry up with Ghostwire and Diablo (and Hoa, and Adios, and ....)

@Dan1283 Capcom hasn't made a bad game in a while so it's at least worth trying out. I think it looks like dumb fun with really good graphics. I'm guessing it will be Warframe against massive waves of dinos > culminating in a MH style boss loot pinata. Capcom is great at co-op loot games so I'm hopeful.

I got F.I.S.T. for free on EGS, and I was not a big fan of it. Hope other people like it more than I did.

This is not a good list of game IMO. I used to complain GP was giving me nothing but Indies and old AAA 3rd party titles. I guess since I complained Xbox decided no old AA 3rd party titles anymore. Sorry everybody.

Seriously though, isn't this when games like Gotham Knights, Evil West, and the rest of the bargain bin at Walmart games should be hitting the service?

@Dan1283 one of the few companies that realizes "Hey wait a minute...why does everyone hate us?" and then instead of making things worse - so people hate them more and more each year - they pivot and do things everyone loves. Like just making good games.

It seems so simple. But Activision, Square Enix and Electronic Arts can't get this through their necktie stuffed brains to make it work.

I bought Capcom's Asura's Wrath last night for a few bucks. It was made in 2012 I think. I almost didn't because they split multiple episodes into little piddly paid dlc. Like, story critical parts. Like...why? I wouldn't have got it but if you bought the game gamepass allowed you to dl that dlc for free.

It's so easy to not suck. You make so much more money you'd think suits would figure this out.

I will give sword and fairy a go.

Arcade Paradise is a great game. Glad more people will get to enjoy it.
