If you've been saving your Microsoft Rewards points for a big Xbox sale, you'll definitely want to know about what's on the way next week! Starting June 6th, the Xbox Deals Unlocked Sale 2023 will be live on the Microsoft Store.
The sale will officially run from June 6th to June 19th, and if it's anything like the 2022 version, it'll include discounts for around 500 games. It typically accompanies E3-week, although E3 isn't actually taking place this year.
Microsoft has provided Pure Xbox with a handful of offers that will be available in the 2023 sale:
- 90% off NBA 2K23 for Xbox Series X|S
- 60% off Ghostwire: Tokyo
- 40% off EA Sports PGA Tour
- 30% off MLB The Show 23 - Xbox Series X|S Edition
- 30% off Redfall
- 25% off WWE 2K23 Cross-Gen Digital Edition
- 25% off Anno 1800 Console Edition
- 20% off Dead Island 2
If you're a little underwhelmed by that list, don't worry - Microsoft often provides quite strange teasers for these big sales, but the full list should include even more great deals for a a bunch of major AAA releases.
Of course, we'll be rounding up the best offers from the Xbox Deals Unlocked Sale 2023 when it goes live next week, but until then, don't forget that there's plenty on offer this week as well, including a huge Xbox Family Time Sale!

Might as well throw redfall put for a buck
Redfall should be 130% off
@ZuneTattooGuy I think it should be 3,036,258,183,402.523149463% off. You know, cuz it sucks that bad. Haha.
Another reason not to buy day 1 really. Dead Island 2 release date hasn't been that long.
@ymo1965
It was released last month on April 21st, at least it's not one of EA or Activisions 50% a month later discounts like they did with Battlefield or Titanfall
So I guess Gollum has to be 200% off if it’s on sale since it’s far worse than Redfall. Haha. I’m soooo funny.
I wouldn't exactly be hating my life decisions over not getting a $14 discount.
Ubisoft games, on the other hand, I've definitely stopped buying day one.
come on Capcom, put RE4 remake on sale already!
@ymo1965 I stopped buying day 1 when the games went above £50. I know that Digitally, they may have been around the £60 mark, but Physical could be found for less due to a LOT more competition pushing prices down.
The main reason being that games today aren't 'better' - often just look better but the Game-play Loops, the Stories, the 'depth' of games etc etc haven't increased.
Couple that with the 'poor' state of games at launch as well as the 'lack' of a complete package (particularly with 'live service' games that drip feed 'content' over time), you may have to wait months or 'years' to get the 'full' game you paid for and/or even be able to play it without 'issues'. By the time its as good as its ever going to be, its also often 80% (or more) cheaper too.
With the latest consoles offering Backwards Compatibility, there is ALWAYS great games available to buy at low cost so I can purchase these to play whilst waiting for 'new' releases to be worth buying. On top of that, it also means I have a 'bigger' backlog - not just the games I haven't finished from this gen, but also last gen too. That's also without counting ALL the 'free' games from Sub Service like Gold, PS+ and Game Pass too which means I am never short of something to play that I 'need' to buy anything at launch...
May be worth grabbing Dead Island 2?
@S1ayeR74 I got it at £60 and have no regrets. Well polished and the flesh system is very good. You'll get about 20-30 hours out of it if you do the main missions and side quests.
@XxEvilAshxX I still remember Far Cry 6 going half price in 2 months. 😂
Me everytime I try to stop spending so much on games:
Hoping for some surprise discounts on random AAA but been disappointed before… Eldon Ring perhaps
