Geez, they dropped the ball hard on the new game mode. When you lose your last life, a screen comes up that says you can leave and won't lose your progress. But if you leave then instead of waiting for the conclusion, you actually DO lose your progress.

Also Hue is currently free as well. Pretty fun puzzler.

X-Box handheld? All digital, plays everything up to X-Box One natively, and plays Series games streaming.

Not bad, but I am BEGGING for them to allow us to disable Quick Resume on particular games. I hate loading any multiplayer game only to find it quick resumes, than can't connect to the server, making me force quit the game to reload it.

I wonder if under the circumstances a shortcut is needed. How different is the engine and tools from what was used for MCC? If maps were ported from MCC to Infinite, along with some unlockables, that might be a good stopgap. I for one would love some Blood Gulch CTF using Infinites engine.

Not a bad idea, if Microsoft can make all games run via XCloud, not just game pass.

I want the ability to disable quick resume for specific titles. I love the feature for games like Mechwarrior 5 and Cyberpunk, but hate it for Diablo 2 and Halo Infinite, when I have to either manually remove it from quick start every time or launch the game, than manually quit the game and restart it for online features to kick on.

Gonna go for a solid B here, since the Series X really had a slow start, but finally got rolling (for me with Psychonauts and Flight Simulator, than Halo Infinite). The game patches upgrading them to Series X and the bonus backwards compatible games were icing on the cake.

If it's emulating PS1, PS2 and (maybe) PS3, and allowing local running of all games, they might have something cool. We've seen these services on the good side (Game Pass) and bad side (Nintendo Online), so let's see what Sony can do. I'm prolly in the XBox camp for life since I've been with them since the original, but we'll see.

At least the new Halo one has more going on than the other Halo one.

I think they would be better off with something like the Razer Kishi and using your current cell phone for this to be honest.

I grabbed it and tried it again during the black friday sale. Clipped through the elevator in the very beginning of the game and died.

Managed to get an X at launch. I have been in the X-Box camp since the original, and this has been a pretty unique first year in the fact that there hasn't been a lot of titles meant specifically for the X or made for it, just a lot of games that got upgrades to run smoother or at a higher graphical fidelity. I've spent a lot of time on it playing titles that are also out on the One series of consoles, like Splitgate and Warzone. I really got into Mechwarrior 5 though, and more recently the Diablo 2 remaster. Looking forward a lot to Halo Infinite.

I'll prolly go ahead and snag the upgrade. That's a lot of new content

I guess we will see. I lucked out with an X at launch, along with my small playgroup. My kids saved for next gen systems and both ended up getting the Series S due to it being the only one they can find.

32k resolution is laughable, the human eye likely couldn't tell a difference between that and 8k to be honest.

I like the idea of the 512. It's half way reasonably priced. The 2 TB one is insane at that price point, really should have been 300.

@Thrussted You aren't the only one. I played the intro, heard its getting a Series X upgrade, and decided I have enough in my library to hold me over til than. I haven't even bothered buying Cyberpunk, waiting on the digital version to get a deep discount.

I'd say part of that lack of growth is lack of Series X on shelves, and trickiness finding even a Series S.

Definitely needs an RT Series X update. The biggest reason a friend of mine ordered the Series X was for the Ray Tracing that was shown off in a preview, and a year in we still don't have it.

I'm looking forward to Vice City and San Andreas. I never really got into 3 though. Hoping they fixed all the issues that plagued the 360 version of San Andreas.

I'll pick up the DOA games if this is the list. Had a blast with 3 with my OG XBox. Ultimate was a two disc game when it came out if I remember right, wonder how they will do that?

Mechassault 1 and 2, Blood Wake, Chronicles of Riddick, Dead or Alive 3 are all on the top of my list. I'd hope for some 360 games too, but the list for OG is tiny and could really use some love.

I've seen Series S on shelves with regularity, but no PS5 or Series X units. Thru pure luck I got the Series X on launch via Amazon. Looking forward to the day anyone can just go to a store or online site and snag a console with no problems.

@bort118 I can second this. Mine doesn't have a flicker, but it has a popup in the corner when it enables or disables HDR, and every time a launch a game that pops up.

The Crysis trilogy I'll add to the wishlist and wait for a sale, not much else interests me. Which is fine, Diablo 2 and Castlevania Advance collection will eat a lot of my time, and I've spent a lot on accessories since I haven't been buying a ton of games. Finally snagged an Elite Series 2 controller (and wow, nice controller BTW), plus upgraded my TV audio with a sound bar, sub, and surround satellite speakers.

I couldn't log in on launch, and my created character disappeared. But later that night it let me log in and my character was restored as well.

Snagging this one soon, I loved all the GBA and DS Castlevania games. Only real bummer is not seeing Dawn of Sorrow included. I know its a DS game, but you really only get the first half of the story with Aria of Sorrow that gets completed with Dawn.

I have a mini fridge in my game room (a black retro Frigidaire) but still snagging this guy. Thinking I'll use one for drinks and the other for snacks.

You could prolly do this now with the size that COD games are.

Glad to see a limited edition, but I hope due to scarcity maybe we will get an official skin that mirrors the design of the new system. I know it won't replicate the blue on the vent, or have the cool new controller look, but it would be a good consolation.

I love the current offerings for sure, but also would love to see more original X-Box titles brought over for the Series X / XBox One. Mechassault would be awesome to see, along with many others. There's only 50 or so original XBox games available right now, I feel like that number could easily be boosted.

With as hard as it is to get the consoles, this is one of the few areas I would like Microsoft to go the Nintendo route and just make official skins instead. (And yes, I know Nintendo has some special edition Switches out there). Have a small selection of game themed skins and maybe just some basic designs too, calling back to the 360 faceplates (which really was an awesome idea I loved).

I'd love this feature. The "always update" is just broken for me right now. I play CoD with my friends every weekend and often it doesn't auto update. It was also frustrating this weekend a new playgroup wanted to play some Rocket League, and we were waiting on me to update since my system hadn't updated the game since I ran it last. I have slower DSL (25mbps) but its an unlimited connection and I'd rather have my games updated than wait.

The Serververse one looks pretty good. Not a fan of the other two.

They got it right with Sonic Mania. Really wish we had seen more in that vein.

Checked it out, doesn't look like the camo patterns or the shiny dpads and triggers, so I'll wait to design mine til more options are available. Til then I will likely just grab the Shock Blue Series X controller as a second one, and retire my XBox One Design Lab controller since the rubber grips are starting to come off.

I grabbed a couple, but to be honest it seems games on my wishlist never go on sale, and these are OLD games on my list, some dating all the way back to the original X-Box.

I haven't seen this discussed much, but in the render those are soda cans. If so, this is gonna be a very small mini fridge. I wouldn't think it would sell for over 100 bucks or so, as it looks slightly bigger than this one (https://www.amazon.com/CURTIS-Mountain-6-can-Fridge-MIS134MD/dp/B08BC2PBKP/ref=asc_df_B08BC2PBKP/) which is smaller but also branded and sells for 30 bucks. Add in a little size and some cool lighting (if it actually lights, remember when we all thought the Series X glowed green from the top?) and I don't see this going for over 100 MSRP. I'll still buy one if I can get one.
