It's just gone on ps+ extra, so it's very likely it will come on Game Pass soon. They can't say anything about it coming to other consoles until 365 days after the games initial ps release, so it's possible it could be either shadow dropped very soon, or announced soon with a November release date ( to replace Starfield's slot.) Pretty sure I have read before that ps third party exclusives need to be released on PS Now/Extra before being released on rival subscription services, so this may well be the same thing.
I don't think Deathloop and Xbox can be in the same sentence until september 14th, so they will either shadow drop it, or announce it September 14th with an october/November release date ( which could be more likely considering they have a Starfield-shaped slot to fill in November)
Quake Remastered was announced and released the same day at Quakecon, so it's possible Microsoft do the same thing here. I can see it happening, but I would not want to bet any money on it.
Hoping to see Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the Quake 2 Mission Packs added to Game Pass ( or at least the store in the case of the latter, Steam and GOG seem to be the only places you can get the "dlc" from, not that they were referred to as dlc in those days, it would have taken 5 years to download them in those days lol)
@TheSilverFalcon oh man, the naming of the tiers is awful. Just name then like the trophy system, silver, gold, platinum,. I mean its right there for Sony to use lol
I noticed this the other day. I played Age of Empires 4 and got a notification on my phone from xbox to claim my points for playing a pc game. At first I thought it was just the daily game pass quest, but no. It was a separate thing on the xbox app. Also there was an option to get a £25 xbox gift card, which would be easier than doing the £5 one five times
I think the second game was the best, the combat was so much tighter than the first, the introductions to the characters were superb ( compare meeting Garrus in ME1 to ME2, the second games introduction was so much better) .
ME1 is my second favourite, and ME3 is my third favourite. I didn't mind the extended ending in the third game, but my goodness, THAT journal system was SOOOO bad.
I will be giving Sable a go, the art style in the screenshot looks pretty cool ( it is also one of the games on this months Rewards challenge). I am still plugging away at Forza Horizon 5's seasonal challenges, and I am also about a third of the way through Ghost of Tsushima ( playing on New Game + so only really doing the main story and character quests, then going to visit the island that was added to the ps5 version)
I am a big fan of the new Xbox Series X I have a ps5 too, from a technical viewpoint, they both meet my expectations. 1440@60 is more than sufficient for me, if I was building a pc I wouldn't be aiming much higher.
However, Game Pass just makes it the best console out there, and Microsofts last batch of exclusives have all been amazing. Flight Simulator, Psychonauts 2, Halo, Forza. And Deathloop was apparently great, but I haven't played that yet.
Let's not discount the Series S though, for £250 that's quite frankly a miracle of engineering.
Apparently they are looking into the Blazing Thunder treasure hunt, its currently bugged if you have already done all the trailblazers. I only had one left to 3 star but I did it in the wrong car and not the Alumni so I am locked out. They reckon they will find a way of giving us the Forzathon points before the Series is out so you can gey the Min, Meet Max achievement.
I am loving this game, and I wasn't particularly a big fan of the series. However, this one has rectified the vast majority of the issues I had with the older games.
Also, even though I am not a fan of the whole Ubisoft-ification of the open world genre, just like Spider-Man and God of War, it seems to work really well, and seems a natural fit for Halo.
Rewind is your best friend for these....in fact, it doesn't appear that rewind actually decreases percentage to your race rewards like it did in previous installments, so I just leave it on now.
Got to be Forza Horizon 5, and I see that is a comfortable second behind Halo. I am a bit meh about Halo, but I will give it a go. Also I am looking forward to Age of Empires 4, give my pc a bit of exercise.
@everynowandben my graphics card can't do ray tracing so that mod wouldn't work on the steam version for me lol. It doesn't look like the game pass version has the expansion packs though.
Had a quick go on the original last night though, god it was a good game.
One of the achievements is to complete the game on Nightmare. Pretty sure the enemies respawn on that mode, so good luck with doing that. Just do a Doom and leg it through the levels lol
Does Quake 2 contain the two expansion packs on Game Pass, or is it better to get the complete version from Steam or Gog ( sorry, not got access to my laptop right now to check)
Sorry, that weren't constructive at all, but I was about 12 when I first played Quake, it was my first fps ( I played Doom later), so many good memories of this.
Doesn't bother me, 99% sure that I own gta5 on xbox, I am playing the ff7 remake on ps5 at the moment so the original leaving isn't a problem. The games replacing them look supercool though, shame that I don't have time to play them all.
Yeah I played it online tonight with my usual ps buddies ( they all have a series s), we had good fun. Found a volcano on an island in Hawaii ( couple away from Honolulu), and then flew over Tsushima ( its a lot bigger than it is in the ps game lol).
We did find we had to restart the game a couple of times, some of us could see everybody but others couldn't, the online seems to be a bit temperamental.
My home town of King's Lynn in Norfolk, UK. Found my house and discovered that the game has converted my stand-alone garage into a full 2 story detached house, thanks Bing.
Flew over London, did a flight from Norwich to Edinburgh, flew over part of Iceland, flew around Avignon and New York too.
Just had a quick go of Prodeus, it reminds me so much of the early Quake games, getting nostalgic lol. Iron Harvest seems pretty cool too, a bit like Dawn of War.
@AFCC no probs. Happy to help, having a great TV makes all the difference. The 2 models we suggested are a pretty safe bet and should easily last a couple of console generations.
@AFCC I was fortunate enough that Samsung offered employees of my company 10% off a few months back so I got mine for £1099 ( pretty sure most retailers have dropped the price of it to that now though) . Let me check what model I have and I will come back and edit this post.
EDIT: I have the Q80T. I was torn between that and the LG OLED ( which was exactly the same price) but went for the Samsung purely because of the brightness of the quantum display. I live in a super well lit room and I think during the day the LG's low brightness would have caused problems. The contrast on the LG is the best I have ever seen though, but the Qled is still pretty decent.
The Q80T also has an amazing game mode, input lag is not far from a monitor, and it has a motion interpolation mode WITHIN the game mode. Most tvs I would avoid that like the plague due to it causing ridiculous input lag, but the Q80T manages to keep it around the 10ms mark. It basically triples the input lag, but triple of 3ms is still nothing though.
These seem a bit pricey, one is more expensive than my Samsung QLED I bought couple of months ago. That has VRR, 120hz, minimal input lag, AMD freesync, and amazing HDR. Paid just over a grand for it. Think I will stick to that.
My PC is actually a laptop so a monitor isn't really much use to me.
EDIT: Actually that top monitor is the same size, so I am wrong. That is really good value.
Trading in a One X for a Series S is a bit of a mistake. Be better off waiting for the Series X. I bought the Series S and was a bit underwhelmed after playing on a One X . I was so happy when I finally got my Series X, I traded in the Series S and got some money off a gaming laptop.
I joined Xbox family in 2007 I think, or possibly early 2008, I remember the original Assassins Creed and first Mass Effect blowing me away, as did Call of Duty 4. From 2013, I moved onto PS4 but I did eventually return a couple of years later, and since then, I have sort of jumped backwards and forwards between the two.
Nowadays I primarily play on my Series X, but I also was very fortunate to get a ps5 too as well as a laptop with a Ryzen 7 and Gtx 1660 ti, so I am pretty much sorted for the next 7 years ( unless my laptop dies out, I cannot see strategy games placing too much strain on a 1660 for the foreseeable future)

Re: Eight Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Today (October 31)
Forgotten City was an amazing game.
Surprised Sniper Elite 4 was still on game pass to be honest, I thought it would have cone off when the fifth game was released.

Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite Saints Row Game To Date?
I did like the 4th more than most people did, but the 3rd one was easily the best, followed by 2. 1 was awful lol

The Quake 2 expansion packs are not currently available on Xbox Store either, despite being on Steam and GoG.
