Carto was fun, I did play through it when it first came out.
Never understood the hype behind Five Nights at Freddy's
@Tasuki well its kinda of a long story
Basically, Scott Cawthon made a game called Chipper & Sons Lumber Co. However many people complained that the characters look very scary. Cawthon was initially discouraged from this and wanted to quit game development but instead used the feed back and created Five Night's at Freddy's.
Why is it so popular (especially the amount of likes and hype for FNAF Security Breach which I am personally pretty hyped for) you asked? One of the reasons is because it is very simple and easy to play but it is hard to master. As each night progresses, the animatronics get even more aggressive and you have to start rethinking many strategies.
When the first game came out in 2014, it released to little fanfare at the time. However let's play gamers such as Markiplier made the game incredibly popular. In fact one of the biggest advantages this franchise has is the lore. The lore is very complicated and there are so many theories that people have (and the story is STILL HARD TO SOLVE). You also got people, like Matpat making videos on FNAF theories.
FNAF also had the most amount of sequels in like a few years which is another reason it got popular
@anoyonmus lore theory... So basically it's the soulsborne people?
Still waiting for the inevitable crossover: FNAF Crossing.
