And then yesterday I got Max Payne 1 + 2 on a different sale. I'm on a full Remedy kick lately.

Honestly early on I had some issues that now ward me off from using it.

-Bugged my Psychonauts 2 achievements (common in TrueAchievement troubleshooting threads for people to say "don't use quick resume")
-I'm always worried about it throwing my playtime, I prefer to have an accurate reading of how long I played a game

I just want Tony Hawk 1+2 on game pass, ready to give that another full replay

This news has only raised my excitement. Don't need every game to be 100 hour open world. The idea that they pivoted to be smaller and more companion/narrative focused is incredible news.

Will be waiting for 60fps so hopefully it's not too long of a wait!

I'm only going to play this game once and I want to play it in its best state. Will be waiting for 60.

Its pretty simple....if a game is releasing on game pass (or is already on game pass), no I'm not going to buy it, so of course that would mean less traditional sales of those games.

But because I'm not spending money on those games, it frees up my gaming budget to buy other games. I spend that game budget on both physical and digital games, also on sony and nintendo consoles.

I know everyone is talking about the multiplayer situation when comparing the two versions of the game, but I feel like the CONTROLS are going to be a big sticking point when the game releases.

I can't find a clear answer, but it looks like the Switch version is going to play like the N64 controller......with a single analog stick.....that's a hard pass for me.

I recently played Perfect Dark on Xbox and it controlled like a dream (with TWO analog sticks, just like God intended)

If I had the magic wand (and Microsoft checkbook) I would be working towards Gotham Knights and Modern Warfare II in game pass this fall

So I'm conflicted. On one hand, it's awesome. It is amazing to open up a game right where I left off or back to the main menu without having to wait 2-3 minutes to load up a game and see logos.

But on the other hand, because we are dealing with technology and software, there have been some annoyances:

-it broke achievements for me in Psychonauts 2 and The Evil Within 2. Meaning, I wasn't getting the achievements you get for progressing the story (this was a complaint for Psychonauts completionists online)

-it's useless for Halo Infinite. For whatever reason you can't use Quick Resume and come back and connect to multiplayer lobbies. So I see the 343 logo every time I play

-it has ballooned my playtime for certain games, where I will come back the next day and the in game timer shows that I have "played" for the previous 23 hours. I don't know how long it took me to beat Psychonauts 2 because the in game timer shows over 200 hours

Obviously these are specific scenarios for specific games, but that's kinda the point. I don't know how Quick Resume is going to effect the specific game I am playing. So I wonder if it is going to have any annoying effects.

This release is so odd lol. At first they made it clear that it was only free to play multiplayer and then campaign wouldn't be in game pass...

...now the campaign is split in two and only the first is coming to game pass. At one point Microsoft was listed as the publisher but that slowly was removed from the Xbox website. Again...just weird.

Titanfall 2 is one of my favorites of all time, it's sad that Titanfall 3 is dead....

BUT...Respawn making another futuristic FPS game (with fun movement options according to reports) because Star Wars is attached to it is the best case scenario for us Titanfall fans.

Respawn is the best thing happening at EA right now.

What in the actual F?!?!?!? Okay initial thoughts

-for me as a consumer, this is cool, more games in my subscription service, let's go!

-okay so Activision must be in a very bad spot with all their government investigations. Hopefully the buyout means that the top guys are pushed out and a fresh start can happen (probably way too optimistic on my part)

-they NEED to reinstate Toys for Bob and Vicarious Visions. Get them making fun colorful games again and not just COD support

-and lol this is gonna be a fun week for the whole "monopoly" discussion

I guess I consider myself lucky. I've put in 100 hours and haven't encountered anything yet. To me personally there is no issue.

That being said I always think choices are a good thing. Just let people choose who they want to play with when it comes to cross play.

Only people complaining about the mangler are "pros." Absolutely love the mangler, a good gun for newbies but also great for more skilled players. Pros want Halo to only be BR.

Definitely looking forward to STALKER, Redfall, and Starfield, but my most hyped Xbox game for 2022 is Plague Tell Requiem. Absolutely loved the first game and this one looks to go bigger

@Chaudy it's been a confusing game to try and track down info on. At one point on Microsoft's website, Microsoft was listed as the publisher. But now it is just Smilegate. This quote was at the bottom of the July 2020 Showcase trailer:

"Crossfirex multiplayer is free to play (Xbox Live Gold required), single player campaign not in Xbox Game Pass (sold separately)"

So its a weird one.

I need to try it first. My guess is that it will be really laggy and not worth my time at this point unfortunately

I was holding off on buying it, and not because I was waiting for game pass. I was waiting for Spiderman to play on my PS4. But now it's like...

@Juniorjoose I'm guessing this has been in the works for a while and they are just meeting contractual requirements. Plus a Quake re-release is just an advertisement for the next exclusive game from iD Software or Machine Games

Yep. Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima are some of the best games I've ever played, would love to have games of that quality on my preferred platform of Xbox.
