Poll: Which Has Been Your Favourite Xbox Game Studios Title In 2021?

Has to be forza horizon 5 for me, I never usually bother with racing games but since I've come back to xbox gaming this gen I'd thought Id give it a go as I know it's one of the staple xbox exclusives and tbh I was impressed and had a blast, I'm sure no other car game can interest me now that I've played that.

Also it's not on the list as it an exclusive but not by an xbox studio I'd recommend everyone go play the gunk! You wont regret it

Psychonauts 2 for me, but if halos campaign was as good as its multiplayer it would have been my no.1 of the year across all platforms.
Overall I think Xbox games are really starting to get better and better, each year there seems to be a big improvement and next year looks to hopefully continue this trajectory for them.

Very tough choice between Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite for me. I also really liked Psychonauts 2 but I'm enjoying the other two games way more. If I had to choose one game though, I think I'd go with Forza just because I love this series and it's so much fun driving around in an open world.

Halo infinite for me but that said Pyschonaughts 2 came very close (I wasn't paid to say this lol, there seriously are some people saying halo reviewers were paid to say it's good LMFAO)

Halo Infinite for me.

Easily Forza Horizon 5 for me, simply because of the way it appeals to me as a car enthusiast. There is just endless fun for me to be had, I never seem to get tired of building cars and driving them.

Flight Simulator is a close second, but I am not sure if I can classify it as a game like the others. The only real gaming part of it for me has been the Reno Air Racing, which is like Nascar/Indy car for airplanes. Outside of that it's essentially a tool more than anything, the ultimate way to explore the world and a great way to learn the basics of flying various aircraft.

Halo Infinite gets a close third. It's nice to see a great new entry to the series that not only impresses me but does something new with it as well. It's also the only multiplayer shooter that I really enjoy right now.

Overall it's been an amazing time to be an Xbox fan.

How does one choose between FH5 and Psychonauts 2?

Halo and Deathloop are good and all, but....nah, it's FH5 or Psychonauts 2...

Halo Infinite! FPS simply doesn't get any better as far as I'm concerned. Simply excellent through and through.

I said Halo but if I had a PC I bet it would have been Age of Empires IV. I’ve lost a lot of hours of my life on other entities in that series. The hours just melt away with that game. But as it is Halo is really fun!

For me.
Really enjoy Halo for the gameplay, grappling hook etc, but a six year development waste of something on Xbox like what Halo could have been.
Far cry 6 graphically, environments, weather system, biodiversity, environmental interaction looks like a generation ahead. And thats Ubisoft on more platforms and also last generation.
Halo has just so disappointed me in that department.
The original Halo, yes I’m old I was there day one, was wow there is nothing like this and was the stake in the ground for fps to beat.
Microsoft 343i need to do better than this, especially after FH5 graphical goodness etc.

Tough choice between msfs2020 and Forza to me. Both are excellent, but then again I spent hundreds of hours flying so that's where my vote goes

Flight Sim for me. First time It's been on console. I would of put Rare for their continuous free updates to Sea of Thieves turning that game into a true gem.

I change between Psychonauts, Halo and FH5. So I alternate each time I see one of these polls!

I picked Halo Infinite because it’s been awesome. But I could just as easily have picked Psychonauts 2.

Tough choice... Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Psychonauts 2 are all brilliant. Flight Sim was a nice distraction, but ultimately that's not really my cup of tea. I haven't played AoE and Deathloop either. Can't wait to check out Arkane's latest masterpiece when it arrives at Xbox next year, though.

For games released in 2021, I'd probably go with Forza Horizon 5 but if you include games that got DLC or updates in 2021 I'd go for MCC. 343 did absolutely fantastic supporting MCC throughout the year including some really big surprises like Halo Online maps added to Halo 3 and major mode customization in ODST Firefight. Infinite is fine though with campaign completed and multiplayer variety being limited I find myself returning back to MCC and Halo 5 instead.

In waiting for a physical edition of Pyschonauts 2. I won't pay the ridiculous digital price when they can't even have the decency to make a disc copy for collectors.

My vote goes to Psychonauts, amazing game. Halo Infinite is very nice as well but I haven't gotten far yet because it decided to crash my console. I'll probably prefer Deathloop to the rest though whenever I get to it.

I haven't played FH5 as of yet, though I do intend to to do so. My vote therefore, goes to Halo Infinite. I'm in the late stages of the campaign having gone in on Hardcore. Some of the mini-bosses (particularly the ones with the huge hammers!) have been quite challenging. I'm really not looking forward to battling them on Legendary...

Halo Infinite for me but I'm surprised Flight Sim scored so low.

Halo infinite and I'm surprised to say it as someone who is normally a single player gamer, for the multi player mainly. I've started the single player and have mucked about in the open world and it's great fun but the chaos in fiesta or big team battle is brilliant. Psychonauts 2 is a joy and I liked forza horizon 5, it's great to throw on every now and then and do some campaign. Hell of a year

So far I’ve only played 2 out of these; Forza Horizon 5 which I love, and Flight Sim which wasn’t my cup of tea.

Halo Infinite, i'm enjoying the campaign until now and really like the Far Cry spirit in this.

Some real crackers but Flight Simulator is a borderline miracle on console. Incredibly immersive with the Thrustmaster Hotas.

I would have loved to vote for Psychonauts 2, it's really a phenomenal game, but it's all about Halo Infinite for me. I think the campaign and the multiplayer is the best in the series. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a while.

Flight Simulator for me. It's a masterclass. Such a shame to see it rank so low compared to the likes of Forza.

Deathloop by miles. No GaaS type stuff. No 30 dollar skins. No grind: just a good game. More like this please.

Difficult choice. Halo Infinite is as great as I expected and exactly what the franchise needed although I agree with people saying that 343 Industries needs to be reorganised because they spent so much time and so many resources and still needed external assistance.

Psychonauts 2 is one of those games that Xbox really needs because when you watch an Xbox show most games seem to be either shooters or weird indie stuff. Where's Banjo-Kazooie and Viva Piñata?

Age of Empires IV is a solid entry in a staple PC franchise, let's see if it can be adapted for consoles.

Deathloop, another Xbox Game Studios title that met great reviews and that we'll be able to play on Game Pass next year.

There are very few AAA current-gen games this year on either Series X or PS5 but Flight Simulator is technically the best and they even added game features to the simulator like multiplayer races.

Finally, Forza Horizon 5, probably underappreciated because Forza Horizon 4 still feels recent but, once again, the best racing game is an Xbox exclusive.

This year has been great for Xbox and it will only get better with all the recently acquired Xbox Game Studios making current-gen games instead of cross-gen games.

For me it's tough to decide between Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5. Objectively, the latter is probably the better game, but Infinite is such a great return to form for Halo and at one time that was my favorite series so for the purpose of this poll I voted for that game. Lots of great stuff from Xbox Game Studios overall this year, can't wait to see what these teams do going forward when just having to focus on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
