I’m enjoying it, and I got bored with the base game a long time ago!

I got bored with the base game a LONG time ago. Never really took to the hot wheels expansion either (preferred the one on FH3). Have downloaded rally adventure though and will give it a go later today. If I don’t like it then I’ll be uninstalling the whole FH5 package, which will free up quite a lot of space!

Still haven’t played this yet, despite owning a PS5. I’m hoping that now it’s releasing on Xbox it will arrive on PS+ extra/premium.

I already have GamePass and PS+ premium, I’m not subbing to anymore.

The talk of long queues put me off trying it. But tbh I’m almost definitely buying it day 1 anyway.

So, a couple of questions…1) do I need to preorder to play this beta? 2) will my progress carry over to the full game when released?

I didn’t play the beta as I’m holding out for the full release. I assume inventory management is still a nightmare? I don’t suppose there’s a lot you can do about that.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it’s because Anno 1800 - also a Ubisoft title - only released last week, so maybe they want to give that a bit more breathing room. Seemed a bit silly the same publisher releasing 2 strategy games just a week apart.

Kudos to Ubisoft for bringing both Anno 1800 and Settlers to consoles 👍

I was hoping that - like Dreamlight valley - it would launch on GamePass. Oh well, will wait for the F2P version.

As good as it looked, FH5 was probably the least played game in the series for me. FH3 is still the best one for me. I agree though in that FH6 needs to do something different. It needs to re-invent the open-world racer.

Good move from Ubisoft. I guess with this releasing so close to Settlers they needed to do something to entice players. I’ll definitely be giving it a go!

With its high difficulty I probably won’t get on with this game, but at least I get to try it out on GamePass.

The dreaded “mixed reviews” scenario. At least we can try it out for “free” on GamePass.

Great to see more of these types of games coming to consoles! I’m currently enjoying AoE2, and now we have both Settlers and Anno 1880 coming in March! 🙂

Hogwarts Legacy, of course! Though full disclosure - I’m playing it on PS5. On my Series X I’m playing Dead Space and Age of Empires 2 DE.

The FH5 one. Unfortunately a few months ago I spilt coffee over mine and the buttons haven’t been the same since 🙁

Thanks for this! I changed the aforementioned settings quite early on and it definitely feels better. Have been playing in fidelity mode and so far no issues. Will give performance mode a go at some point just for comparison.

After a string of disappointments - Saints row, Gotham knights, Forspoken - I’m so glad this lives up to the hype. Can’t wait to dive in 🙂

AoE 2 for me. Still learning the controls, but they’ve done a stellar job converting to the Xbox controller. I can see myself sinking many hours into this game 🙂 I tried Hi-fi rush, but I’m not really into rhythm action games so it didn’t click with me. Nice graphics though.

I caved last week and bought Dead space. Managed to get it for about £56. I’ve been playing in quality mode and have had no frame rate issues at all. I am also playing Age of empires 2. Didn’t get much time to play it during the week cos of work, so hope to have a good session on it over the weekend. Also playing Marvel’s midnight Suns on PS5.

Definitely Hogwarts Legacy deluxe edition, which I’ve preordered on PS5 (sorry Xbox!), and Atomic heart on GamePass.

So far I’ve been playing (on Series X) in quality/fidelity mode and it’s actually been ok. Haven’t yet tried performance mode. Still waiting for Digital foundry’s analysis.

This was unexpected, though am looking forward to it. It’s just a shame that considering the game is being developed concurrently on PC/consoles that the demo is only available on PC (steam) 🙄

I’m mostly playing Marvels Midnight Suns, and some GTA V (story mode, 3rd play through!). I’ve also got right back into Grid Legends, which has quite a sizeable single player career mode which I’m chipping away at. Will also give the Forspoken demo a go ahead of its PS5 release next week.

What an embarrassment of riches! I don’t care who wins…it’s gonna be a great year for gaming 🙂

@Martsmall you’ll have to let us know what games you buy in future so we have an idea of what’s probably going on GP soon 😉

After the “bright future update” I’m willing to give Saints row a go. I’m not saying they’ve fixed everything, but surely it’s in better shape than it was at launch? 😬 maybe they are testing the water for a possible GamePass release?

I haven’t got to Novigrad yet in the story, but I can’t believe that the PS5 & XSX still struggle in this built-up area, even in performance mode. Anyhoo, having a blast playing this game again.

I can’t believe I bought GTA V…again 🙄 I already have it on PS4/5, but I wanted to play through the story again with the game’s new lick of paint and better frame rate. On PlayStation this would have meant starting a new game thus overwriting my (completed story) save file, which I didn’t want to do. Then I thought I could just buy it again on Xbox in the countdown sale and start a brand new game that way! Also the XSX has quick resume which is handy. Yes I know…I’m part of the problem 🤪

I still have this installed from when I tried the trial, so am tempted by this offer! 🤔 just out of curiosity, what are FIFA points used for?

Update: not working for me 🙄 instead of “buy FIFA 23 now” I just get a QR code to scan. When I scan this it takes me to a link where it’s £34.99. At £20.99 I probably would haven bitten. Oh well, it’ll be on EA play in 6 months.

It’s not been a great year for Xbox imo, therefore I’ve spent more time on my PS5. Saying that, I bought Cult of the lamb on Series X and absolutely loved it.

I would take Eurogamer’s “avoid” with a pinch of salt, especially after some of the games they’ve given “essential” awards to this year. Anyway, it’s on GamePass so no harm in giving it a go.

I played the trial, and have to admit I thought it was…meh 🤷🏻‍♂️ Comes across more like NFS Heat 2. Nothing special. Won’t be buying full game.

What’s in the Hot Wheels unleashed GOTY edition? I bought the base game when it first came out.

This was on my radar for quite a while, but sadly the pre-release news that it was only 1080p on XSX/PS5 put me off buying it. I’ve also heard that it has a strong motion blur effect that can’t even be turned off. Hopefully all the negative feedback will prompt the devs to optimise the game further, by which time it’ll probably be cheaper too!

I keep forgetting that EA play is part of GP ultimate 😂 downloading the NFS Unbound trial now.

To be completely honest I’ve only played 2 games from that list - The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. For me it’s TW3. I must of put in around 200 hours on the Xbox 360, and that includes both expansions. Great game, and can’t wait for the upgrade. Saying that, Cyberpunk is still a good game and I love the futuristic world CDPR created.
