I feel like this article should've linked the information on The Lodestone. The open beta is only intended for brand-new players as active accounts will not be able to participate in the beta.
The first time I played Xbox we bought the original console, Halo, and Star Wars Obi Wan for my buddy as a wedding gift. I remember playing Halo split screen with him the night before his wedding. Got my own Xbox some months later, with my favorite game being NFL 2K. Really wish EA hadn't been "granted" NFL exclusive license.
I thought it was a solid show. I wished for more 2023 release dates, but Starfield is looking impressive, and I'll give Forza Motorsport a go when it's released. Avowed looks awesome...just wish it was coming this year. Cautiously optimistic about Star Wars Outlaws (not a big Ubisoft fan). Hellblade 2 looks amazing!
I played Diablo 2 and 3 sparingly, but the beta weekends made me stoked for Diablo 4. Street Fighter 6 also looks cool, but I'll wait for reviews. I'm still hoping AEW Fight Forever gets released in June as rumored.
I'm wondering if rewards gets tweaked next. I haven't paid a subscription fee for game pass in months. Everything has been covered by rewards every month.
I throughly enjoyed this game, with the exception of maybe the end game where the big battles got to be a bit much. The setting was beautiful and a lovely contrast the the previous Bioshock games.
I don't see why Microsoft should...the Series S is a bigger seller than the Series X. Also they are clearly all-in with xCloud development, which does not require any such hardware upgrade.
It's been fantastic so far and I'm happy to see it's already been renewed for season 2. It's a shame I've never completed the game, but I'm not really a fan of the stealth-focused game play. Maybe I need to try again for the 5th or 6th time...
I don't think Halo leaving 343 is necessarily the answer, anyway. 343 is capable, but it seems from things I've read here and there they are highly disorganized with staff coming/going frequently. What they need is a consistent, smaller team with more focus from leadership.
I saw a mention of Halo going to Activision earlier in the thread. I don't think the acquisition is going to go through as it stands today. I think Activision may be split in order to complete it, with some assets sold elsewhere.
I'd rather see Halo go to another developer, but I'm afraid the Microsoft dictation to leadership will continue. They won't be allowed full creativity, only focusing on how to monetize as quickly as possible. I enjoyed Infinite's campaign, but seeing the sloppy support for the current multiplayer model is sad to see. Recent news as made things seem more gloomy.
I think I understand the point he's making, but I've played more than 10 indie titles in the past year that I otherwise would not have played because of game pass. While I know I don't fully know the reimbursement structure, it has to be better than not purchasing or playing the game at all.
There will be an adjustment period in the industry should the subscription service idea continue to grow, but I think it will only make it easier for indie titles to be made as companies look for lower cost games to add to the service, not AAA blockbuster budgets.
On PC I'm playing Life is Strange True Colors..on my X I'm playing Tiny Tina's and Persona 5. I neglected Persona for a while and I've come back to realize just how much there is to go...
@cragis0001 I appreciate the optimism, but if SE was interested in porting to Xbox it would've happened by now. I played for a few years and I would love to see it ported, but I also just don't see it happening.
Like Nintendo? Who despite so many criticisms and some missteps have the most effective first-part lineup in gaming? Who sell massive amounts of hardware? Wow, that's such a bad thing to be...
This isn't the end of the deal, as so many speculate here. This is merely a legal tactic for the FTC to further review the deal and allow hearings for all sides to present their argument, including MS and Activision. It's a formality at this point. People preaching gloom and doom here need to settle down and let the process play out.
I don't really care about the story, I think the game looks like mindless fun and I'm still interested. I'm cheap, so I always wait for a sale anyway...

Vampire Survivors. I've also been Playing Persona 3 Reload, so a run through Tartarus when I'm low on time usually works.
