We were finally treated to a release date for AEW: Fight Forever on Xbox earlier this week (it's coming on June 29th), and following the announcement, THQ Nordic and AEW Games wasted little time giving us a look at what to expect.
In the video above, you can watch 30 minutes of brand-new gameplay footage from AEW: Fight Forever that was originally streamed on Twitch (it's since been re-uploaded on YouTube). The quality isn't perfect, but it's the best we have for now.
Here's a cool little clip of Orange Cassidy pinning Jungle Boy with his hands in his pockets:
We don't know about you, but we think the gameplay footage is shaping up really nicely so far, aside from perhaps one or two instances of collision detection issues that remind us a little bit of WWE's 2K series.
Fingers crossed this turns out to be a fantastic new wrestling game on Xbox!
Earlier this week, AEW: Fight Forever also attracted a lot of attention on Twitter due to the reveal of a very violent set of screenshots featuring a large degree of blood. For those who aren't too squeamish, you can take a look below:
We're only just over a month away from the release of AEW: Fight Forever on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S along with a bunch of other platforms, so expect plenty more gameplay and feature reveals over the next few weeks.

Looks a bit rough round the edges and far less polished than the WWE games, but I feel like that's intentional and supposed to be part of its charm.
Cool to see there's men vs women fights. I'm really interested in the created wrestler mode, since that's always the mode I play the most.
I hope they have Tony Khans segments where he appears on screen. “Thanks guys”.
Loved those AKI and Yukes games back in the day. By modern standards I'm expecting this game to be a bit basic in terms of its feature-set, but if it feels like No Mercy I'm in. Nice to see something more arcadey as an alternative to WWE 2K.
@Fenbops but never blinks
