It's been another busy year for Xbox Game Pass in 2022! Sure, Xbox Game Studios might not have had much to offer us over the past 12 months, but Game Pass has kept our backlogs very busy with a wide variety of third-party releases.
Considering there's so much to go through here, we've once again opted for a top five ranking system where you can tell us your favourite Xbox Game Pass titles of 2022 in order. There are 65 games you can choose from (some hand-picked highlights), or you can select the "Other" option and tell us your choice in the comments.
If you need some help remembering, here's the entire list of Xbox Game Pass games from this year:
So, what'll it be? What were the best Xbox Game Pass additions in 2022? Tell us in the poll and comments below.

Prodeus for me as that’s absolutely amazing. Love the retro FPS graphics and design that has. Also have to mention GRID Legends, Outer Wilds and Crusader Kings 3.
Yeah this should be 10 games. Very hard to choose. Citizen Sleeper was not easy to omit. I guess it's a good problem to have, it's a list of several games each month worth playing.
This year overall was a great year for Gamepass. There were some stinkers looking at you Lego Starwars but overall I was pleased with most of the Gamepass games.
Gamepass has a ton of complaints this year but personally I've really enjoyed some of the more off beat smaller titles. They include a ton that I normally would never look at if i had to fork out for them individually.
Sometimes is nice to try games that don't feature in usual media coverage. Often the regular websites end up being an echo chamber with them all talking about the same 10 big releases.
Apparently the Community Social Marketing Manager has confirmed on Discord.
Frustrating as after a poor Game Awards, the ActiBlizz going to court and Hot Wheels being held off (plus no big first party games this year) I thought they might drop a few big old games to end the year and celebrate Christmas.
They didn't do a second half drop last December but they had an extra big job in the middle of the month which helped...
I had an absolute blast with Grounded and sunk loads if time into it. High on Life had been great mindless fun. Persona 5 is the GOAT JRPG. Mass Effect is arguably one of the great game trilogies - I played 3 after it'd been patched and didn't think the ending was as bad as people said.
It's been a damn strong year for Gamepass on reflection
I played more Game Pass games this year than usually but I think that the most notable additions are Persona 5 Royal Edition (not played yet), Immortals Fenyx Rising (much better than Breath of the Wild, in my opinion), Assassin's Creed Origins (that I already own), Mass Effect Legendary Edition (not played yet), Grounded 1.0, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy...
A Plague Tale Requiem is okay. The biggest disappointment is Immortality. So, I'm supposed to watch a documentary sequences over and over and over again to find more elements to click on in order to unlock other sequences about a story that isn't that interesting. Am I missing something?
High On Life (Votes 194, Score 635)
A Plague Tale: Requiem (Votes 156, Score 574)
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (Votes 149, Score 464)
Persona 5: Royal (Votes 112, Score 390)
Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Votes 117, Score 386)
I only ranked the ones I played... 5 points - TMNT: Shredder's Revenge 4 points - A Plague Tale: Requiem 3 points - Immortality 2 points - Guardians of the Galaxy

A Plague Tale
Mass effect legendary edition
Grounded 1.0
Deathloop

Anyways
5 points: Grounded 1.0
4 points: TMNT Shredder’s Revenge
3 points: Other (Omori)
2 points: Pentiment
1 point: Vampire Survivors
Too many good games it’s really hard to choose only 5.
Has anyone noticed that 2nd batch of December games didn't get announced.
Chained Echoes (still playing now, so good)
Scorn
Deaths Door
High on Life for me. House Flipper should be on there, that’s my second, Lawnmower Simulator is great too.
CK3, 2point Campus, P5.

1) High on life
2) Assassins Creed Odyssey
3) TMNT Shredder's Revenge
4) Vampire Survivors
5) Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection
Taiko !!!
And Persona >.>
P5R, Omori, Signalis, and Ninja Turtles are the only releases this year that really caught my attention.
It seems there isn't a 2nd half of December Game Pass batch after all.
Wish i could edit my vote, forgot some stuff after sumbission. This is what I voted for:
5 - Persona 5: Royale
4 - Chained Echoes
3 - Vampire Survivors
2 - High on Life
1 - TMNT: Shredder's Revenge
I somehow would like to grant points to Plague Tale, Grounded and Pentiment.
I also highly considered voting Persona 5 on all 5 spots
TMNT is my top pick without question.
This year overall was a great year for Gamepass. There were some stinkers looking at you Lego Starwars but overall I was pleased with most of the Gamepass games.
1. Immortality
2. Signalis
3. Beacon Pines (why was that not on the list!?)
4. Vampire Survivors
5. A Plague Tale
After an abysmal first half of the year, at least it was a solid second half of the year on Gamepass.
@Chaudy I know been moaning as in total 20 gameshave or will be removed in December and we've had about 6 added.
Might be on my own here, but I loved Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion...silly fun that let me turn my brain off for a few hours and just have fun!
Also Beacon Pines was very enjoyable.
1. Deathloop
2. Immortality
3. Sniper Elite 5
4. Prodeus
5. Powerwash Simulator

@Gloki_junior @Chaudy I know, I've been waiting for the drop and pretty annoyed they haven't communicated whether or not we'll get a drop.
It seems we're not: https://mobile.twitter.com/IdleSloth84_/status/1606312522025381888

@Widey85 ah thanks for the update. Very disappointing
Thought gamepass was pretty poor this year but saying that high on life is probably my game of the year across all platforms
The ones I have most enjoyed:
Ni No Kuni
Slime Rancher 2
Assassin’s Creed Origin
Mass Effect Trilogy
Tinykin
Football manager 2023 played it for nearly 40 hours and can even play it on my phone with touch controls.
5 - A Plague Tale: Requiem
4 - Life Is Strange: True Colors
3 - ME: Legendary Edition
2 - As Dusk Falls
1 - Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy
5- Tinykin
4- AC Odyssey
3 - AC Origins
2- Deathloop
1 - GRID Legends
Tough choice though, could easily have included A Plague Tale Requiem, Inside, Mass Effect, Immortals Fenix Rising and more.

My personal top 5 of gamepass games. A Plague Tale requiem is even my personal game of the year. Loved it that much

Sad to not see Beacon Pines on the list. Although I’m liking way more, it’s one of the few games which I finished and completed. Lovely stuff.
