Welcome to the weekend! We've got plenty of new Xbox activities to help you to keep busy over the next few days, including more recent Xbox Game Pass additions, four Free Play Days titles, the arrival of the free Diablo 4 "Server Slam" beta, and a massive set of deals including a very enticing Xbox "Next-Gen" sale!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:
Fraser Gilbert, Editor
I'm playing something I can't talk about right now, but it's an indie title that I'm hoping will live up to the hype when it arrives in the near future. Aside from that, I'm also planning to dip back into STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order and finally finish that game so I can buy Survivor. The creepy crawlies in Fallen Order keep putting me off though!
I continue to be absolutely addicted to Disney Speedstorm as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if I spend a few hours making my way through the Season Tour this weekend. I'm so conflicted about that game - in some ways I'm not very keen on it, but for the most part I'm absolutely in love with it, to the point where I really struggle to put it down.
Have a good weekend, folks!

Tears of the kingdom.. just like the rest of the gaming world.
Picked up the collectors edition of Tears of the Kingdom today so will start playing that. Also connected up the PS4 again and Purchased Gran Turismo 7. It looks amazing on PS4 so can't imagine what it is like on PS5. And tomorrow I'm going to try Redfall. See if it is as bad as everyone says
SWITCH - Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, what else? Lol. Really enjoying my time with it so far, still on the opening sky island. This game is going to last me potentially years.
3DS - Nothing on here this weekend.
PS5 - maybe some GTA Online with friends later, provided I can prise myself away from TotK!
PC - Nothing on here this weekend.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Nope, not Zelda (despite owning a Switch).
On PC: Days Gone (my 2nd playthrough)
On Steam Deck: Persona 3-> love the aethetic of Persona games and can see myself sink many hours into it.
On Oculus Quest 2: testing stuff mostly. Got Hellblade VR to check out this weekend. So far it's way better than PSVR1 that I owned back in the day.
Happy gaming all!
On PS5 i will most likely be giving God of War Ragnarok a break for a little bit for reasons below, if I do jump on playstation I will most likely be playing YS 8 lacrimosa of Dana as I'm close to finishing it.
On Switch its going to be a weekend of Zelda TOTK, il be seeing how far I can go in the first chasm with 4 hearts.
And on Xbox I started Ravenlok last night so I may continue with that for an hour on the night.
Some games I've been slowly working on. Hopefully one grabs me and I make significant progress over the weekend.
Xbox - Ghostwire Tokyo, halo infinite
OG xbox - buffy the vampire slayer
Ps5 - ghosts of tsushima
Switch - nothing
Steam deck - the walking dead season 1
Pc - dishonored 2
Probably a bit of Dishonoured (had never thought about it until last week) which has a really cool vibe and I can see why lots of people really dig it.
Hi there fellow gamers;
This weekend I´ll be playing more of the great (even with tech issues) Jedi Survivor on my PS5. I love how much improved it is from Fallen Order.
I´ll also be playing more Forza Horizon 5 on my Series X. That game is just fun.
Oh, and a little game called The Legend of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom on my Switch. As soon as I started playing, I had the almost exact feeling and tought in my head, that this is going to be a really good game that will last me for months, if not years, just like it was with Breath Of The Wild.
It´s games like the ones that I mention that makes me so glad to be a gamer. I love this medium so much.
Cheers, stay safe and happy gaming weekend to us all
For me it's: Big Bubba's Chugathon, Peter Griffin Smells Rainbows and Chocolate Slip 'n' Slide 4: Wet Farts Leave Skidmarks.
Diablo IV beta.
I'm saving Zelda for next week.
Trying to wrap up Fire Emblem: Engage, and my soul now belongs to TOTK. My PC and PS5 probably aren't gonna get used for a while. Lol
I love my Xbox and ps5 but this weekend is all about Tears of the Kingdom and nothing else.
This weekend I had planned on continuing my journey through the epic Star Wars Jedi Survivor but c’mon - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom overshadows any other game at the moment.
As someone who was disappointed by BoTW, everything about ToTK somehow managed to excite me. Thankfully, my initial issues with the former seems to be remedied in this sequel - and the way reviews have been indicating, it seems as if this open world is similar in nature to Elden Ring. Add proper dungeons to the mix and a supposedly emotional story, then you have me hooked.
So far, I’ve played a few hours and it’s fantastic. While it may be a little same-y in terms of the tutorial, I still consider it better than BoTW. Personally, I find it to have the best intro in a LoZ game; it was dark, mysterious, and yet charming all at once. Overall, the abilities are simply much more fun to use, and the fusion capability is ingenious.
In terms of what comics I’ve read, the list isn’t much. I finished Frank Miller’s Daredevil Born Again and found it to be exceptional. I’m now jumping into Chip Zdarsky’s run. I’m currently on the third volume and absolutely loving it.
After finishing the story, I may do remaining sidequests in Jedi Survivor, and someone convinced me to give Ravenlok another try, so I may do that as well. Finally, let’s fire up The Last of Benedict Fox once more to see if I can move on in the story somewhere. It seems like you’re (well at least, I’m) stuck in that game all the time.
Tears of the Kingdom!
Maybe some Jedi Survivor, nearly at the end of that one (story).
Seems like everybody is playing some game called tears of the kingdom but I don't have a switch and cannot afford one but I've never played a zelda game
so I will just finish. totally accurate battle simulator for 1000gs and then browse the xbox game pass library for another 1000gs
I will be slamming servers...when I can get the TV away from my wife and son as they fight over the Switch for TOTK.
Redfall and loving it btw!
Plus some EA PGA Golf.
I just bought a S so pretty much jumping between it and the X on any game
Soul Calibur 6 and nothing else right now. I'm finishing Libra of Soul (which I'm loving). But damn there are some HARD battles there.
Going to be extremely hard to tear myself away from totk this weekend, but I'll at least try to do a mission in Redfall when I can. And maybe another level of shantae half genie hero both on my series s.
Switch: Zelda Zelda Zelda Zelda.
PS5: wrapping up Street Fighter 5’s story ahead of 6
Xbox: nothing this weekend.
Mass effect andromeda
Tears of the Kingdom, of course. I'll be playing this for a good, long time.
My sister and her husband are on Diablo 4, though. Whatever Server Slam thing is happening.
@pepsilover2008 The game was slammed to the ground, and now it aged like fine wine. One tip, make sure to finish every sidequest, and every loyalty mission if you want to see the best ending! Hope you enjoy it! 👌
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - My boy Sully to the rescue!
Jetpack Joyride (Windows Phone) - Only three costumes left now!
@FraserG Are you playing something that reminds us of Inside but colorful? I hope so! I can’t wait to see how the game reviews!
As for me, Hyrule is waiting for me… and so is my son because he wants to watch! A shame I have to work today!
Finished up Jedi: Survivor yesterday. I really enjoyed my time with it. Amazing game.
Started Zelda: TotK yesterday. I am very impatient to get the paraglider or whatever its called, hahaha... I only got through the tutorial yesterday so hopefully I won't need to wait much longer. Overall I'm super excited to play this game for the next month or so!
The guys and I also played some more Redfall last night. We're really starting to pick apart the shortcomings as we get further into it, but we're still having fun with this one!
I finished INSIDE
Atmosphere and the animations of this game is INSANE!!
My own shadow once scared me😂
The new Star Wars Jedi Survivor, it's drawn me in, runs super smooth in quality mode too on Series X and my 4K OLED.
Nothing.
I have a literal Newborn right now.
@Spider-Kev firstly, congratulations. Secondly, you may as well put your console back in the box for the next 3 months at least, cos there ain't much time for gaming with babies around 😂
Playing Tears Of The Kingdom, I'm only 4 hours in and i can already say that the game is a masterpiece..
@The-Grezzly-Bear
Thanks dude!
Baby and wife both sleep.
I'm itchin' to try out my new 1080p projector on my switch and Mario Kart 8!
All are at home.
We are in the hospital for at least a few more days.
Zelda, like most of the gaming world.
PSVR2: GT7, RE:village and Horizon call of the mountain.
GT7 is amazing in VR. For me it was a borefest on regular 2D screen. RE: village was my first almost vomit moment… due to running away from a werewolf.. Horizon is pretty but it’s feels like a workout (a lot of climbing).
Switch: Zelda BOTW… Trying it again as I want to buy the sequel but not before I finished BOTw
Harmony of Dissonance. No interest in TotK.
Playing motherf*ck*in' apex rank, getting rekt by my own assh*l* teammates. From D2 down to Plat 1 . So yeah enjoying rank down
Nearly finished with Jedi Survivor but started playing Tears of the Kingdom so it’s all over now 🫠
Simple as a lot of gamer tears of the Kingdom, refreshing to finally have a AAA game that's worth every penny in 2023. It' s sad for my série s but it will collect dust for a couple of week. Just like my switch did last year.
Finally got around to Minecraft Legends and im hooked, yet another underrated undermarketed Xbox game. Also progressing through Monster Hunter Sunbreak. Might mess with TOTK if I get around to installing it.
@Spider-Kev Congratulations my partner gave birth last Sunday.
I’ve been playing Xbox gamepass on my backbone in between feeds during the night currently playing pentiment.
The Evil Within. I loved the second one so running through the original. If I still owned a Switch I'd be playing Zelda for sure.
Despite that I wanna spend some time with "Hi Fi Rush" I just can not stop playing "Grim Dawn" on Pc... It is just too addictive...
@BlackMayge Chip Zdarsky’s run on Daredevil is fantastic. Then again, that book has been (bar Andy Diggle's short tenure as writer) consistently excellent since 1998.
Just The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom here...
TotK for me! Such a fantastic game!
Zelda. Like a lot of people I’d imagine
Playing Cyberpunk 2077 and loving it. It should have been next gen only. Looks and runs fantastic on my series x. Probably the best looking game I’ve played on console. I hope Starfield looks and runs this good!!!
Had a busy weekend but managed to get some gaming time and finally got every achievement in Fallout 3! A journey that starred in 2008, is finally complete!
Now time to get back to Breath of the Wild so I can finish it and then start Tears of the Kingdom!
Meet your Maker mostly, and the D4 Beta was fun.
