Update: We've now updated this list to include the games that been officially announced as leaving Xbox Game Pass in February 2023 so far. As you can see, many of this month's predictions came true!
Original story: What's leaving Xbox Game Pass in February 2023? Well, Microsoft hasn't confirmed anything just yet, but based on some games that were added to the service this time last year, we can at least make a few predictions ahead of time.
We know that a lot of Xbox users want more advance notice of games leaving Xbox Game Pass, but Microsoft understandably gives us around two weeks right now - and don't forget, publishers sometimes secure late deals with Microsoft to keep their games on Game Pass, even after they've been announced to be leaving!
So, before we take a look at the following list of potential games leaving Xbox Game Pass in February 2023, we want to stress that nothing has been confirmed yet, and this will not be a 100% accurate list by any means. Some of these games might leave, some of these games might stay, and many others might be added to the list.
The most common (but definitely not the only) trend with Xbox Game Pass seems to be that games stick around for one year, so we've gone back to February 2022 to look at the games that were added to Game Pass at the time. That said, we've also added a few games from the February 2021 list as well. Based on those original announcements, here's what we think could potentially leave Xbox Game Pass in February 2023:
Date It Joined Xbox Game Pass | Game | Platform |
February 18, 2021 | Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - Ultimate Edition | Console, Cloud |
February 18, 2021 | Wreckfest | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 3, 2022 | Contrast | Console, Cloud |
February 3, 2022 | Dreamscaper | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 3, 2022 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 10, 2022 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 10, 2022 | Console
February 10, 2022 | Edge of Eternity | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 10, 2022 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 10, 2022 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 14, 2022 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 17, 2022 | Total War: Warhammer III | PC |
February 24, 2022 | Galactic Civilizations III | PC |
As mentioned previously, there could be plenty of additions to this list, and many of these games might stick around on Xbox Game Pass for even longer, but it seems likely that we'll lose at least some of these in February 2023.
Of course, we've still got a few games set to leave Xbox Game Pass in January 2023 as well, with six games having already left earlier this month, and another batch of four departing on the 31st.
Which of these games do you think will leave Xbox Game Pass in February 2023? Tell us down below.

Contrast and pillars of eternity 2 are 1st party now are they not? First party games don’t leave I thought
I wouldn't leave any sleep over any of these to be honest
I remember when games would COME to Game Pass.
@Fishticon Yep think we've had 3 official "leaving" groups since the last "coming" group.
Annoying they can remove them in late December / early January but not add them...
Hoping the ones now kind-of-first-party ones stay, in which case Wreckfest is the only one I'll really be sad to see go - will probably wait for the next deep sale on it and grab it
Hopefully not Edge of Eternity. It's been in my backlog.
I better give Wreckfest a go this month then!
@Gr81 obsidian are owned by MS, so any of their games leaving would be like Halo or Gears coming off. Another example of this is Wasteland 2. It's been in GP since GP launched.
Great! Nothing I want to play that I haven't already finished!
Never got round to seeing if CrossFireX was as bad as all the reviews and forums suggested, guess I won't ever.
None of these will keep me up at night, but I know it's speculation. It does break my heart that Nobody Saves the World is leaving...
Phuck it, gonna play that terrible crossfire X campaign. I need something terrible to play with beer.
Not Wreckfest....
Luckily I purchased the Digital Deluxe Version with both the Season Passes in the Winter sale. It's a fantastic game for anybody still yet to try it out... A must play for any racing fan really.
Infernax is very good, did an evil play through and thoroughly enjoyed
Infermax worth play?
