If it's a faithful remake that doesn't change much, awesome! I just hope that they include the first 3 games in the narration and levels because the first game alone, idk if that's enough. If you're going to make a stealth game, you better show up after Hitman 3.

I loved Psychonaughts 2 also but the movement tech sucks. I know that's not the goal with the game but after A Hat In Time and Mario Odyssey, I get bored with slower placed 3D platformers.

@Benjamin I hope so! I like Destiny but I hate that the campaigns/pve and pvp are so intertwined and that some of the best gear and guns are gated. Halo could really become something much better balanced.

Great stuff, solid A from me. I love the open world sandbox and how creative you can get. 343 definitely took a tiny bit of inspiration from BotW in allowing you to approach encampments in various ways. Only complaint is really that they clearly struggled with this engine and only Series X plays as well as you'd think since it's brute forcing it. Hopefully we get optimizations for other versions before they actually drop an expansion.

Redditors always work themselves into a mess. Sure online games have tons of issues at launch but it isn't worth the emotional distress reddit echo chambers cause. As for progression, idgaf personally, I play to slay and anything extra is ok but I'd not expect a polished system built around a game at launch. It took years for games like Destiny 2 and Fortnite to get where they are.

Still loving it, in the hof now and around lvl 110 and haven't gotten bored. I'm a car game nut, though. Give me a racing game and I'll play it for years but I've been playing other games, too. Hot Wheels, Metroid and a couple others. If you only play this game, I could see it getting boring. It's not setup like a Elderscrolls.

@Dezzy70 Not everyone cares about 4k or physical media. There's no reason to think Series S has special circumstances or to hate it. That's just myopic. Families will want these and couples as well as people on budgets. They'll get more people into Halo matches, more people playing Bethesda rpgs and more Gamepass subs to support Xbox studios.

X is there for enthusiasts and people who want high-end but forcing it on everyone is not the way. Options are better.

I bought two Series S, so my spouse and I can game together and instead of spending $1000 I spent $400. I sold a Switch for a couple hundred beforehand, so it can turn into incredible value and households will have multiple of these, just like Switch.

I can't choose between it, Returnal or Metroid Dread easily but if forced I'd probably give to Psychonaughts 2, yea.

The games a mess on PC and that flavors the commentary a bit, it's not so bad on console. The big sell here is Portal, though. While official playlists in Portal need more maps, there's some really good custom games already created by community and it'll only get better as they add more tools to creation mode. There's even a clever variant based on Squid Game, for example.

Eh, it's basically a Cyberpunk, GTA Trilogy situation for this game, released early to fix it later bs, but I believe the community will save it, unlike those games.

I would not pay $60 for the multiplayer right now, no way. The game is great, amazing at times but there's not nearly enough there to justify full price. If anything, give people who buy the campaign 2x battlepass xp or some kind of multiplayer perks.

I have two Series S, one for me and my spouse for playing Forza and coop games together. Much like the Switch, I think many families will have multiple XSS consoles because the price is right.

"Nothing" is a bit of a misstatement. They do have those games on PSNow and the PS2 and early PS3s had big success with backwards-compatibility. I think their issue is that they have no good emulation team and now they use AMD hardware. They tried to do some with PS2 but for dumb reason thought they should be remasters but that isn't what people want, lol.

They should create/buy a top tier emulation team and at least offer those PS3 games on PS5 for like $5 or something.

I find it entertaining but I don't only listen to the in-game stations. Spotify is great with this game and you don't even need premium.

I don't keep a Gamepass subscription all the time, I don't like always having to pay long term to keep access to my favorite games so I usually buy the Ultimate edition of this series and other favorites.

It's Forza Horizon. You were expecting maybe Burnout (pun intended)? Not from me, there's always a Horizon game in my rotation, but tbf racing games are probably my 2nd favorite genre.

But hey, the game's got a 92 on the metas, here's our GOTY. Halo won't even get close to that.

As long as it comes with expansions or like year 2 content, something like that, I'd buy that version. I don't think it's a good idea to just give them money for early access solely.

The future sure looks bright for us, someday. I mean FH5 and Halo Infinite will carry me for awhile but I'd love to just see a little of these AAAA, super games.

The level of drama this created was stupid to begin with but apparently drama is entertainment. It just annoys me but our boi looks great, definitely a lot of work has been put into him. I'm glad they delayed the game and kind of think they weren't 100% intending to release it last year anyway.

Absolutely love the series, pains me to see the stealth genre in a lull. This series (and Metal Gear) deserve more but at least we have Hitman still.

Well the game's sales have obviously bottomed out. It's on Gamepass which gives even less people reason to buy. So, I think they did this to generate revenue but they should explain that to people instead of ignoring them. Really, they should have not did any mtxs and went bigger on the expansions and charged for them.

They better be remastered from scratch in better engines or Rockstar can gtfo.

As long as it's still a Perfect Dark game, I'm cool with this. Crystal D makes good single player experiences, even the campaign for Avengers was good. But this game has to be a shooter of some sort, have objectives to chase, multiple ways to play, etc. If it's another third person adventure, live service game, oh crap. I will avoid the internet for weeks, lol.

@pip_muzz It's ok but the L4D3 comparison everyone uses doesn't seem to actually fit. They've definitely designed it with too much modern influence and it lacks VALVe's magic/polish. I'm not saying it's bad but it's not a true L4D3 as you'd imagine VALVe would make.

I still think they haven't topped that gen, I'd even say that if you add in PS2, PC and Gamecube, that era might be the best ever. So many good games that were almost all experimental and new experiences.

You'd imagine it would be a Japanese company that Xbox has strong ties to. If this true, I'd bet Sega as they'd be the best fit as both companies have a history together but so does Capcom. I'm going to guess Sega but it could even be a mobile game publisher. Huge market MS could want in.

They should pursue third party or independent comics, though I guess they could make a play for DC and get Batman on lockdown but I'd rather see games that wouldn't get made without Xbox money and talent. Maybe Spawn or Hellboy.

I agree but I don't think it's a good idea to push them so hard frequently. I'd rather Xbox not force a new game. We need the right studio with good ideas.

Crazy how some of the best devs from Xbox/360 eras fell off a cliff after 2014. Bioware, Rockstar, Konami, Blizzard, etc.

I hate when launch trailers are cinematics instead of gameplay but the game looks interesting itself. Maybe after I finish FIST over on PS I'll give this a dl. So many good Indies, man.
