Kicking off this week on Xbox we have Crown Trick, a brand new roguelite from Team 17 that is now available with Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
Crown Trick takes a unique spin on the roguelite formula, distancing itself away from Hades' ferocious combat. Instead, you'll engage in turn-based battles, similar to Crypt of the NecroDancer, as you must strategically time your attacks through grid-based actions.
You'll fight an array of colourful and strange monsters in a stunning cartoon world. As you progress, you'll unlock more shopkeepers from your hub and use them to strengthen your abilities for future battles. If Hades started an itch you never knew you had, Crown Trick may just be the next best thing.
We'll have a review coming later today, but spoiler alert, we really enjoyed our time with it. It feels fresh, unique and is a great take on the formula. Do not miss out on Crown Trick!
Crown Trick is a beautifully animated rogue-like RPG adventure characterized by turn-based combat and skill-item interactive strategy. Enter a labyrinth that moves as you move, where mastering the elements is key to defeating enemies and uncovering the mysteries of this underground world. With a new experience awaiting every time you enter the dungeon, let the power bestowed by the crown guide you in this challenging adventure!

I hate when launch trailers are cinematics instead of gameplay but the game looks interesting itself. Maybe after I finish FIST over on PS I'll give this a dl. So many good Indies, man.
Agree with the others above, the trailer told me nothing about the game. Girl, crown that attacks, and some baddies. If the gameplay is good, why wouldn't you show it?
Played the game for hours last night. It’s fantastic! Agreed, another win for GamePass.
Only issue that seems to be a bug is that the X button to pick up weapons and items is flakey. Sometimes need 4 or 5 presses for it to work. Otherwise, it’s a brilliant turned based rogue like that takes a lot of strategy to get past bosses in particular.
One of my favorites on Steam 2020!
