I’m glad it’s being well received so far but like others I’m also waiting for the Series X patch before I play these games for the very first time. I hope the patch doesn’t come close to Stalker 2 release as it’ll most likely be jarring going from that to these.
I usually turn the music off in these type of games to get better immersion but it seems the music plays a big part in building up tension so I may leave them on when I get round to playing them.
@homme_parametre Shadow of Chornobyl is already optimised for Series X/S, it’s the other two that will be patched later in the year. Unless all three games will be patched as proper Series X/S versions and not running as backward compatible?
Anybody buying the games individually may want to do so now because it seems there is a price glitch, they are currently £9.99 but are supposed to be £15.99. PlayStation players have got an even better opportunity, the whole bundle is currently £15.99 as opposed to Xbox’s £33.50.
All the people commenting saying it’s not on GP. It’s only £10 for each game and you can’t really expect every new release to be on the service day one.
I’m going to buy Shadow of Chornobyl and see what that’s like, if I like it and complete it then I’ll buy the others.
@Shushibda There isn’t one because you’ll just get questioned by people like me asking why bother take the time to vote on games you have no interest in.
It’s only Indivisible that I’m interested in and Maneater for my son.
@theduckofdeath @InterceptorAlpha I personally find 60fps to be smooth enough. Choosing 120fps at usually a lower resolution like 1080p as well as having less fidelity like less foliage, blurry textures, worse viewing distance etc just isn’t worth it imo. It’s only useful in games like CoD.
I bought this last Monday and been playing it each day since, it’s a great game from a small low budget studio. I’m even going to get the Normandy dlc as I’ve always loved playing the D-Day landings from other WW2 games. It’s even better that we get to play from the German perspective and I love using the MG42 in any game that has it.
As if Obsidian hasn’t angered certain Xbox fans as it is with the recent physical copy advertisement fiasco 😂
Seriously though the difference between 60fps vs 120fps is negligible, I have a tv that can do 144Hz but I’ll always choose 60fps rather than sacrifice graphics/resolution.
@rustyduck Like BowsersBuddy said you’ll have to be tactical in this game and just think of it as an EA Sports game which are all sims. At least you’re not short on options for button mashers like Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat etc.
I’ve just pre-ordered this to take advantage of the 10% discount, looking forward to playing it on Wednesday night. Haven’t played these since the PS1 days.
@Kaloudz They really need to add sword combat and the ability to swim underwater searching for loot in ship wrecks. How/why they decided to omit those in a pirate game is beyond me.
Sea of Thieves is definitely the better game imo, at least that has all the things you’d expect in a pirate game. Black Flag is supposedly getting a remake, I’d certainly be up for buying that.
@Kaloudz Really? I’ve been playing the open beta since this morning and I’m not impressed with it at all. No combat when outside the boat aside from firing cannons while on land? No swimming at all? They call this a pirate game? Several Assassin’s Creed games like Odyssey, Black Flag and Valhalla did it better. I wouldn’t dream of paying £30 for this let alone £70.
@Sakai Thanks for mentioning that Gamesir G7 controller, all I’ve ever wanted was a controller with an anti-stick drift feature and the £49.99 is a decent price. I’m getting myself one as my Turtle Beach Stealth Recon controller now has stick drift. I like how the Gamesir G7 keeps the simple look without all the gimmicky features like EQ modes.
I already own a digital copy so I’m glad this news didn’t catch me off guard, it’s such a good game. Was there no warning at all that the game was going to be delisted? Also whatever the licensing issue was, couldn’t the game of just been patched? Same goes for other games that have music licenses that have expired or certain car manufacturers, just patch them out of the game instead of delisting it completely.
I’ve went ahead and bought Hogwarts Legacy, used my £30 worth of reward points so really only paid £9 of my own money. I’m not starting a proper play through until after I’ve bought my new tv next week, want to take advantage of VRR.
I’ll definitely buy this someday but I’d just be happy with a controller that doesn’t suffer from stick drift after about 4 months. Wasn’t there talk of an anti-stick drift controller or was this it? I’m sure I read about it at the same time when this and a potential new console was leaked.
Quite a few great games coming out this year but it pales in comparison to last year’s releases. It was always going to be tough to top last year’s and I don’t see us getting an amazing year for gaming like 2023 in terms of quantity and quality. 2025 will be all about GTA VI.
Edit: Since the list has recently been updated, the only game I’m interested in buying is Hypercharge Unboxed. Any others that get added to Game Pass I will give them a try. I like the look of Undisputed but not paying £50 so I’ll wait until it’s in a sale for about £25.
I hope both Hogwarts Legacy and Hitman World of Assassination will be in the sale at similar prices as last Christmas. I held off thinking I’d put the money towards something for this year but there’s nothing I’d want, all the games I’m interested in are coming to Game Pass.
I’ve been wondering what to spend my £30 worth of reward points on, upon reading this though it has made my decision much easier. I already own Hitman 1 and 2 separately but it’ll be more convenient all being in one package and with both games running on the latest Hitman 3 engine. It’s had a good run on Game Pass being on the service for 2 years.
Edit: Forget it, it was 60% off at only £23.39 in last week’s sale but this week it’s only 20% off at £46.79. Nah I’ll just wait until it drops to under £25 again.
I was really hoping they’d remake Sega Rally. I absolutely loved that game on the 360 and the track deformation was incredible at the time, no lap was ever the same.
@Banjo- If Microsoft just offered first party games on Game Pass for PlayStation then Sony can’t say anything to counter that proposition. It’s not like they wouldn’t get any benefit of having Game Pass on their console because Microsoft would offer an annual or monthly fee.
If all this turns out to be true then it looks like Microsoft is maybe doing so to butter up both Nintendo and Sony to eventually let MS/Xbox have Game Pass on their consoles/handhelds. It most likely won’t happen but I don’t see why not as long as it’s just Microsoft published games on the service, they won’t be losing out on 3rd party game sales.
So many games from that list isn’t coming to Game Pass but there is a good 4 or 5 that are that I’m looking forward to playing. I see Taxi Life isn’t on the list that’s releasing in February.
@ZuneTattooGuy When requesting a refund with Xbox what do you give as the reason? Because it seems there as to actually be a problem with the game or a problem with the purchase like accidentally buying it for the wrong account, wrong edition etc for it to be refunded, doubt they would let anyone treat the refunds as a demo service.
I’ve tagged you into the post but I’m also curious from others who have had multiple games refunded.
It used to be a simple straight forward process getting refunds but since last year it’s been awful. I’ve had Arma Reforger refused for a refund back in November despite meeting the criteria to be eligible for a refund, I only played less than an hour. I wasn’t happy but I only paid with Reward Points and thought it was a one off.
On Christmas Day I bought both Police Simulator: Patrol Officers and Truck & Logistics Simulator, again played both for less than an hour but wasn’t impressed with either game especially PSPO which is riddled with bugs. The response I got was “Refunds aren't available for digital purchases that have been played or used.” Nowhere on the refund policy site does it say that once a digital game has been played that you’ll be ineligible for a refund. Microsoft needs to either re-train their refund staff or update their refund policy.
Bearing in mind, before all this the last time I had a refund granted was back in December 2022. Now I’m seeing people posting that they’ve had no problems getting refunds? Why the inconsistency when those of us who are meeting the criteria for a refund are being denied? Something is very wrong.
I’m droning on but I’ve discussed it in more detail with fellow member Tasuki over on the Your Latest Series X/S Purchase topic on the forums.
Whenever I keep seeing news like this it’s just makes me think Xbox/MS is going to eventually solely focus on making Game Pass even more accessible and enticing and not bother with making consoles. I hope I’m wrong but they have already ruled out a mid-gen console to compete with the PS5 Pro.
@FraserG I’ve noticed it happen quite often when there’s big sales on like this. Hopefully it’ll be resolved with the official release tomorrow.
I’ll only be buying Dead Island 2 Gold Edition for my son who I game share with, I’ve already completed the base game when I rented it on release but I’ll go back to it for expansions. I was hoping Truck and Logistics Simulator would also be in the sale after seeing the article of the game on here yesterday, I suppose it’s already at a fairly decent price at £24.99.
It’s worth noting that when searching through the deals on your Xbox it may not be showing you all the games that are on sale. I’m on my Xbox now and it’s only showing 990 games under the All game deals tab. I’d like to know where the rest of the 400+ deals are.
@FraserG I thought I’d let you know incase you’d like to update the article for those that missed out on this deal, that both Immortals of Aveum and Dead Space are both £5 at Asda.
If the rumours about the PS5 Pro are true and GTA VI has significant upgrades over the PS5/Series X versions then I’ll be buying the game for the PS5 Pro. I’d rather play it just on Series X as I’ve always used Xbox as my primary console since the original but I’ll want to be playing GTA VI at its very best.
I had no idea this was on PS5. I recently bought both Postal 2 and 3 in the Autumn Steam sale for under £3. I think I’ll buy this on PS5 then if I can find a cheap copy. They are not great games but they can be fun if you don’t take it too seriously. These days very few games would dare to release anything remotely like the Postal series.
@Dr_ENT I can see what your doing posting that on a dedicated Xbox site but your right in bringing it up because I game mainly on my Series X but if MS don’t bring something out to rival the PS5 Pro then I think I’d rather buy GTA VI for that to play it at its absolute best, achievements and the Xbox ecosystem won’t be enough to keep me playing it on Series X.
I think it looks absolutely amazing, it will no doubt be the best looking game of all time when it releases. The animations are so life-like and the density of the traffic and NPCs are seriously impressive, let’s hope it’s actually like that on consoles. I’m not a fan of all the TikTok-like posts and R* feeling the need to keep the series within todays real life trends but it’s GTA I’m always going to get it no matter what.
But 2025? That’s at least another year and a half of R* milking GTA Online, I’m honestly bored of it now that I’ve got everything I could want and still have millions left.
From the trailer at 1:05 was that an Online character? It certainly looked like it to me.
@Crookz I game primarily on Series X, I only use my PC for games that are exclusives on that system and can’t play anywhere else. I haven’t got a powerful gaming PC, but can play games like Black Mesa on max settings at mostly 60fps.
I’m not surprised the trailer isn’t being shown at the TGA since R* have always revealed their games in their own time and on their own terms, they have never needed a platform like TGA to reveal their games to the masses. You just know R* are going to draw in millions of more viewers on Tuesday than the TGA could ever dream of achieving on Thursday.
Going by the name of ‘Trailer 1’ I think we’ll have to assume we won’t be getting a release date as the name suggests that there’s going to be more trailers revealed. I doubt the game will be coming out until September at the earliest. Either way I can’t wait for Tuesday 2pm, hope the trailer reveals a lot of details and not just a quick 2 minute sneak peek.
I can’t wait for this, I’ll be buying as soon as it hits the Xbox Store. Been wanting to try it on PC but then heard that it was coming to Xbox.
@JaffeGaffe You only have to watch some videos on YouTube to see what the game is about and if it’s for you or not, it’s been out on PC for over 5 years.
I’ll try all three but I’m most looking forward to Rollerdrome. Hope we get quite a few AAA games releasing day one next year.
@ymo1965 I’m curious how people like you can do without Game Pass seeing as you need at least the Core version to play games online, unless you only play single player games and F2P that don’t require an online membership.
The 1TB cards are still too expensive for me, it has to be at least £100 before I even consider it. Also what is with Amazon saying we’d save £123 with 49% off the Seagate 1TB SSD card? It’s £150 at full price everywhere else. They just trying to pull wool over our eyes to make us think we’d be getting a great deal? Pull the other one Amazon 😒
@AlwaysPlaying I understand thanks for letting me know. I don’t see any SSD cards on sale so I’ll wait for the Cyber Monday sale, if it’s not on sale then either I’ll just buy Arma Reforger.
I’ve just went through the whole list on my Xbox and there’s nothing at all that I want to buy. I think I may just get Arma Reforger as I’ve just finished the 4 hours I had left of the trial. It’s definitely a massive improvement from when it first launched. It’s out of game preview too with its 1.0 update.
@Tasuki I’d like to know this too but for UK. I want the 1TB Seagate but at £150 it’s too much for me. If it was £100 then I’d think about it. Other than one being a SSD expansion card and the other being a portable hard drive, what’s the difference between them? Don’t they all do the same job?
Doesn’t look like I’ll be getting anything in this sale, Hogwarts Legacy £39 with 40% off is still too steep for me, needs to be at least £25 before I consider buying it.
From that trailer it looks like it’s actually a fully finished game that’s out of game preview. When I first played the trial the day it came out in game preview it was very bare bones but it looks fantastic now. Shame it’s not in tomorrow’s Black Friday sale or I’d of probably of bought it.
I ended up pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition for the two extra DLC. It’s such a brilliant game, so many ways to destroy stuff and it’s great to see it all falling apart with the game’s amazing and realistic physics. It’s definitely one of my favourite games of this year. I loved Red Faction Guerrilla for its destruction but Teardown’s is on another level.
@Nightcrawler71 Apparently there is a workaround for games that don’t have an invert Y-Axis option. What you need to do is make a Controller Profile via the Xbox Accessories app with the Y-Axis on the Right Stick inverted.
Then, to easily turn it on and off between playing different games, bring up the Guide, navigate to Profile & System, press the View/Back button, scroll down to Controller Remapping, and toggle it On.
You can also jump straight to the Xbox Accessories app from here by clicking on the Cog next to the toggle.
I got that info word for word from a review of the game on the Xbox Store from someone who goes by the Gamertag name BBIAJ, so credit to him/her.
Only Rollerdrome interests me out of those games so I’ll definitely be trying that out, I loved Jet Set Radio back in the day and this is very similar in style and mechanics.
@FraserG Any word on Teardown? I thought we’d of seen a review of it today or at least some news about it as it’s due out tomorrow.
For a linear-heavy game it’s been in development for an awfully long time. It does look amazing using UE5 and looking forward to playing it day one on Game Pass.

Re: Xbox First-Party Title 'Pentiment' Seems To Run Much Better On PlayStation 5
Re: New WW2 Shooter 'Easy Red 2' Is Off To A Fantastic Start On Xbox
I bought this last Monday and been playing it each day since, it’s a great game from a small low budget studio. I’m even going to get the Normandy dlc as I’ve always loved playing the D-Day landings from other WW2 games. It’s even better that we get to play from the German perspective and I love using the MG42 in any game that has it.

Re: Talking Point: How Many Microsoft Rewards Points Do You Have Right Now?
I’ve currently got 11,850 points and will most likely be putting them towards SCUM when it finally releases.
I’ve recently spent £55 worth of points on both Teardown Deluxe Edition and Arma Reforger.
Re: Open World Survival Shooter 'SCUM' Confirmed For Xbox Alongside 1.0 Release
I can’t wait for this, I’ll be buying as soon as it hits the Xbox Store. Been wanting to try it on PC but then heard that it was coming to Xbox.
@JaffeGaffe You only have to watch some videos on YouTube to see what the game is about and if it’s for you or not, it’s been out on PC for over 5 years.
Re: Reminder: Three New Xbox Releases Are Launching On Game Pass Next Week
I’ll try all three but I’m most looking forward to Rollerdrome. Hope we get quite a few AAA games releasing day one next year.
@ymo1965 I’m curious how people like you can do without Game Pass seeing as you need at least the Core version to play games online, unless you only play single player games and F2P that don’t require an online membership.
Re: Ark: Survival Ascended's Performance Is Getting Mixed Feedback On Xbox Series X|S
Wasn’t this supposed to be on Game Pass or is it Ark 2 I’m thinking of?
Re: Xbox Expansion Card Sales Begin As 1TB Drops In Price For Black Friday 2023
The 1TB cards are still too expensive for me, it has to be at least £100 before I even consider it. Also what is with Amazon saying we’d save £123 with 49% off the Seagate 1TB SSD card? It’s £150 at full price everywhere else. They just trying to pull wool over our eyes to make us think we’d be getting a great deal? Pull the other one Amazon 😒
Re: Deals: Xbox Black Friday Sale 2023 Now Live, 1000+ Games Discounted
@AlwaysPlaying I understand thanks for letting me know. I don’t see any SSD cards on sale so I’ll wait for the Cyber Monday sale, if it’s not on sale then either I’ll just buy Arma Reforger.
Re: Deals: Xbox Black Friday Sale 2023 Now Live, 1000+ Games Discounted
I’ve just went through the whole list on my Xbox and there’s nothing at all that I want to buy. I think I may just get Arma Reforger as I’ve just finished the 4 hours I had left of the trial. It’s definitely a massive improvement from when it first launched. It’s out of game preview too with its 1.0 update.
Re: Deals: Xbox Black Friday Sale 2023 Now Live, 1000+ Games Discounted
@Tasuki I’d like to know this too but for UK. I want the 1TB Seagate but at £150 it’s too much for me. If it was £100 then I’d think about it. Other than one being a SSD expansion card and the other being a portable hard drive, what’s the difference between them? Don’t they all do the same job?
Doesn’t look like I’ll be getting anything in this sale, Hogwarts Legacy £39 with 40% off is still too steep for me, needs to be at least £25 before I consider buying it.
Re: Arma Reforger Gets Surprise 1.0 Launch, Bringing 'A Whole New Dimension' To The Xbox FPS
From that trailer it looks like it’s actually a fully finished game that’s out of game preview. When I first played the trial the day it came out in game preview it was very bare bones but it looks fantastic now. Shame it’s not in tomorrow’s Black Friday sale or I’d of probably of bought it.
Re: Review: Teardown - A Slick And Addictive Slice Of Voxel Destruction
Re: These Three Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (November 17-28)
Only Rollerdrome interests me out of those games so I’ll definitely be trying that out, I loved Jet Set Radio back in the day and this is very similar in style and mechanics.
@FraserG Any word on Teardown? I thought we’d of seen a review of it today or at least some news about it as it’s due out tomorrow.
Re: Xbox's Matt Booty Suggests Hellblade 2 Will 'Come Later' In 2024
For a linear-heavy game it’s been in development for an awfully long time. It does look amazing using UE5 and looking forward to playing it day one on Game Pass.
