It's been many years now since Xbox stopped providing sales figures of the Xbox One, and this continued into the Xbox Series X and S generation, so we don't truly know the full details about how many Xboxes Microsoft has sold.
That said, analysts often provide their own estimates, and according to the latest figures from Ampere Analysis (via the Financial Times), Xbox sales have dropped by around 15% in 2023 to somewhere in the region of 7.6 million units.
This apparently means the PS5 has outsold Xbox by almost three to one this year, as the PS5 figures are sitting at 22.5 million units with a 65% increase. Sony has also confirmed it has now sold over 50 million PlayStation 5 consoles to date. Meanwhile, the aging Nintendo Switch has dropped by 18% to 16.4 million units in 2023.
While this might look like bad reading for Xbox, it's also highlighted in the report that the Series X struggled with supply issues in the first half of the year, and that hardware sales aren't the be-all and end-all of Microsoft's strategy.
For example, here's a snippet of what an analyst at Creative Strategies had to say:
"Sony really cares about selling hardware but from a Microsoft perspective, it’s more about their subscription service."
If we look at another comparison over at VGChartz, it seems as though the Xbox Series X and S have sold somewhere around the region of 25 million units altogether so far, which is obviously around half the PS5. And don't forget we've seen plenty of Black Friday and Christmas deals in recent weeks, which should push those numbers up further.

This shows what an insurmountable task Microsoft has on its hands,
I don't envy them even if they have different approaches to console sales....
The Series S, I can see that and understand. Its future to play newer games is more at risk every day as the insufficient hardware rears it's ugly head with each new major release game.
I think that these kind of articles are designed to raise fear amongst Xbox gamers. Xbox itself is in great health and 2024 looks like being amazing across the board for Xbox gamers,
Sometimes we have to look beyond the console sales.
And when I say ‘articles like this,’ I am referring to the source rather than you @fraser
This is yet another reason they aren’t making a Pro console this generation , all the overhead in doing so to be stuck to Zen 2 and have bad sales. However it shows why 2026 is looking like new hardware and that lets them get some excitement for the platform without a new Switch or PS6 around. They can jump to Zen 5 and have something that is exciting for fans and new buyers and of course leave behind the Series S maybe shortly after.
In the past year or so Microsoft have only concentrated on acquiring software houses and not enough creativity with AAA games, though 2024 is looking a lot better.
I love my Series X and a bunch of Microsoft's back catalog of games and even I am concerned after the last couple of years. I find this year's slate of bug riddled and boring games to be much more concerning than even last year's dry spell.
as a very old school gamer i find lots of things wrong with the xbox approach.
i really quite like the series x as hardware nothing not to like about the actual console it's self but it is all the way microsoft is hardsell all the time, it is their way or the highway.
in basic terms my ps still feels like a gamesconsole, i can buy a game and play it , i don't need to engage with sony at all.
i feel sonys strategy is if we make the best games they will make money and microsofts strategy is how can we best use games to make money.
2 to 1 is about the same ratio as last generation - maybe even slightly better.
It may get worse again for a while, but it's not the 9 to 1 horror story that others have pushed based on data from countries that Xbox is traditionally weak in.
So there's hope, if Sony starts to have a few quiet years given their strategy issues and Microsoft make the most of the ABK purchase for example once they can pushing the CoD marketing as hard as Sony used to (and the Game Pass advantage of no up front cost) then maybe it can be pulled back a little more
It shouldn't make no difference if Microsoft sells more consoles than Sony to anyone but the people who profit from it I'm an Xbox fan but it doesn't matter to me if there number 2 or whatever in the sales chart once there is a big enough player base for it to exist that's all that matters to me
MS is playing the long game here - Consoles, PC, phone, TV, cloud etc along with a publishing powerhouse. This is called diversification. Right now, Sony is a one trick pony that is struggling to diversify because they see the writing on the wall several years from now. Everyone keeps focusing on console sales which are sold at a loss, especially PS which has had heavy discounts throughout the year. If the Xbox has a discount, it is because no one wants it. It helps the media to push the narrative that PS5 wins and Xbox loses. The main things to look at are profit and install base. I guarantee you that the Xbox division has more profit.
@BaldBelper78 I think reports like this are there to let people know sales figures. Thats all. Are you suggesting that if the XBox was selling like hot cakes then people wouldn't report sales figures at all?
To be honest sales dropping 15% yoy is fine if the logic was we were on the slow down of the generation, but with the PS5 increased by 65% in the same period suggests these figures are pretty dreadful.
On the plus MS apparently don't care about spending billions on R&D, marketing, sales, manufacturing and all other such costs to sell a machine they built so this all doesn't really matter.
If I'm honest I don't fully understand how MS can outspend all the competition, have more studios and be the more aggressive company yet be so far behind the pack? I really don't get it as the Series X (in my opinion) is by far their best hardware console and probably the first time they have a machine that is arguably better than the competition. They also have a bullish attitude of being the 'big boy in town' and trying to buy every man and his dog to show it. I am completely baffled?
@MrList Huh? I see the opposite - MS gives me the opportunity to play many games for a small monthly fee.
Sony on the other hand have the most expensive hardware, have looked at £80 games having just put them up to £70 and is considering releasing Spider Man 3 in two parts to maximise revenue and the amount they can charge you
Like i said 100 times before its not enough to have exclusives o good services or the most powerful consoles!!! They need to fight the media bias, media is the number 1 enemy to xbox they dig into any mistake or accident or just an veteran resign and make it very bad and evil when PS get a pass for about anything including the UK case of 1 billion taken from users or continues hack of PS accounts or hike of prices or empty year like 2023 and 2024 from exclusives no one daaaare to oppose Playstation so they go taking there ***** and throw it on xbox
Xbox need to start lobbying and paying media outlets like IGN and gamespot.... They control the gming industry 1 bad review for a good game and its down
Also xbox need to start marketing in europe and asia;!! Playstation is the officiel partener for ma'y compititiins in the most popular game i mean football that soccer for you ! everyone is watching champions league and whois the partner? its playstation
Xbox need to go out of there box USA isnt the only market and browl and basketball arent the most famous sports
@BaldBelper78 I generally agree, I think Xbox and Microsoft are in a great place, and in strong place to build on for the next 10 years. Console sales are only one metric and there is plenty to look forward to as an Xbox player.
Yes, they are clearly third in a three horse race in terms of boxes sold, but does it really matter? Especially when Xbox is more than just consoles now. It's PC, Cloud, mobile etc.
And Game Pass subscribers have grown three times as much as PS Premium subscribers. Mission Accomplished for Microsoft. Subscribers are more important in 2023 than hardware sales. Everyone is stuck in the last generation. I know probably 20-25 gamers that all have a Series X, some have a PS5. All of them have Game Pass and none of them have PS Premium. I love my PS5, but rarely use it. And I don't have PS Premium.
@cburg Finally, someone with a brain. You are correct sir.
@StonyKL I could be wrong but this is my theory on why they are so far behind the pack. I think it has to do with the reputation the Xbox brand became known as during the Xbox One generation. It was “cool” to poke fun of Xbox then just because. Even now there are still articles and videos where they get more clicks if it’s negative news about Xbox. It’s going to take time to tear down that reputation of “no games” or “no reason to buy one.” As Xbox continues to bring out great games year after year, I think they’ll start turning things around. They just need to get past being the “joke” if that makes any sense. That’s not how I see them, but it’s the perception I get from others that dislike the Xbox brand. Just my theory.
@HonestHick Not convinced we will get a new Xbox gen in 2026, but if they do they better have plans for a STELLAR first 12-24 months of releases after launch. Considering how long games take to make that would mean they would have had to start planning for this proposed launch around 2020/2021 and we saw no sign of that in their leaks.
If they don't have a great launch window lineup the competition will come to market with a more powerful console, probably for less, and wipe the floor with them.
@themightyant i do believe such projects like elder scrolls and maybe even Blade will look to start taking advantage of more powerful hardware. Again Zen 5 will be compatible and just give a much needed CPU boost. Throw in the fact consoles are PC’s now and everything is built to scale. Spencer has said they would like to see consoles move a little faster like mobile tech and even said the leak was old plans. If we don’t hear about the fresh in 2024 i think that tells us they scrapped it for the next Xbox in 2026 which has strong leaks. Then when PS6 comes out and is more powerful thats when MS can launch a Pro model in say 2029 or 2030. For the position they are in i think that makes better business sense and greater value for Xbox gamers. I do agree with you that in that 12-18 month launch window they will need some great titles to drum up the excitement.
@HonestHick We're 95% sure there is nothing coming mid-gen, as developing a new console takes MANY years and it wasn't in their big leak. Even if the doc was out of date it isn't enough time to pivot. So almost certainly nothing is coming in 2024/5. But why are you so convinced they will release a new gen early in 2026? I don't see it, and I don't think it would be a good move.
The conspiracy theorists are always a hoot, thanks for the laugh 😃
Back on point, gaming as a business platform is constantly ebbing and flowing. I've seen these same threads and talking points for the last 20 years and we still have the same 3( oh and Steam) companies trading technology and business practices that we always have.
Unless the next year or two are just disasters for the MS publishing arm I expect entities to remain steady
@Kaloudz To be fair Microsoft give out a lot of mixed messaging. Remember those graphs with "80% PlayStation" Microsoft were proudly showing to regulators. If you are going to play silly buggers and give out non-representative cherry picked information it's going to come back to bite you in the ass. Regardless as I said above, I agree that Xbox are more than just a console and are fine.
@themightyant I don’t see 2026 at all for new Gen.
They recently stated in ABK deal it would be 2028 (can probably bring that forward 12months). But they would have to be deep into the R&D for it to be out in 30ish months. And if Sony hold firm with a Pro then new the Xbox variant would be significantly underpowered to a ps6.
For me, if something does come it’s most likely going to be some sort of cloud streaming box. But as we have seen cloud isn’t ready yet (queues etc around starfield)
All I know xbox has saved me a lot of money last year with game pass. All those awesome indies and a few big budget games I usually buy physical for switch I have now played with use of my subscription on my xbox series x or on my phone with remote play or via the cloud.
Their service just rocks. It’s a complete package. And I can’t wait for their upcoming exclusives which they’ll be ramping up from now on now that the ABK deal is done. As others have said they’re now completely in for the long run.
And the only games I feel I am missing out on on PS5 only (and not on PS4) are the final fantasy games which we’ll get to see on pc or xbox anyway.
@HonestHick
This is yet another reason they aren’t making a Pro console this generation
No doubt the sales issue is a factor, but don't you find it interesting that there is zero mention of the PS5pro in Insomniac's data hack? I just find it slightly strange...
I love my xbox yet feel a bit of fomo coming on, looking at GoW, HZD and Spiderman 2. It feels a lot like the time I bought a gamecube instead of a PS2 or original xbox. Great console but the software just wasn't there. Come on xbox, give us something good and you may sell more units.
@themightyant
If they don't have a great launch window lineup the competition will come to market with a more powerful console, probably for less, and wipe the floor with them
The competition will wipe the floor with them regardless of console power, we can witness this right know.
Perhaps an overlapping release will work better, have the power advantage for 2-3 years and then have the less powerful console for a similar duration.
Releasing close or at the same time as Sony didn't (exactly) work in Microsoft's favour, although I do doubt we'll see a new gen in 2026.
@Sol4ris That's a very good point, maybe that's what was contained in the 2% that wasn't released.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner 100% agree. I can't see a new gen in 2026. I haven't seen any credible evidence to support it.
The rumour started because Jeff Grubb said he heard a rumour and 100 other media outlets jumped on it. 2026 is too late for a pro model and too early for a next gen console imho. I think it would be a bad move all around.
@cburg it was confirmed some time ago that the PS5 has been sold at a profit since mid 2021.
For reference: https://www.theverge.com/2021/8/4/22609150/sony-playstation-5-ps5-loss-profit
Xbox was confirmed to still be selling at a loss in November 22.
Again for reference: https://www.eurogamer.net/microsoft-loses-up-to-200-on-each-xbox-console-sold
Very concerning situation. Obviously Xbox division overall is very profitable with PC and mobile and all that, but that’s not my worry. The problem as I see it is that if Xbox hardware continues to decline then games will become less and less optimised, or even just skip Xbox outright (as Kena: Bridge of Spirits did).
Lords of the Fallen still has a bugged HUD exclusive to Xbox over two months after release, and the developers are really dragging their feet on the fix. The game also performs significantly worse on XSX than PS5 according to Digital Foundry.
@Cakefish
Lords of the Fallen still has a bugged HUD exclusive to Xbox over two months after release, and the developers are really dragging their feet on the fix
I was interested in the game but seeing how they not bothered with the Xbox version, I'll wait until it reaches bargain bin status before buying.
@themightyant there are good leaks within AMD insiders of this. Phil hints at shorter hardware cycles, it would get them away from the Series S possibly before 2028, and as many and myself has said, why wait to launch against the PS6? How would that benefit them? Also they are not going to go 4 years as the weaker console to the PS5 Pro. Phil made it very clear when speaking about the Series X that Xbox will never be last in power again. Lot’s of signs and rumors are out there for you to read or maybe you already did, but while nothing is concrete, if i had to place my money on a bet. I am going with Zen 5 with custom AI Xbox in 2026. Every generation but the last few were 4-6 years and that was with physical media that wasn’t BC. Today’s tech is just new hardware, anything that comes out that can’t run on the S or X they could have you play it over the cloud. So no one is left out of the games. Again i think this is the best play for them, it would create a lot of interest in Xbox if they do it right and have great AAA’s that show off the hardware. Throw in by then we should start to see GP have a great lineup of first party offerings and i think it’s their best foot forward 😊
It is a real shame. Microsoft have done so much right this gen but I guess the disaster of the X1 launch that drove so many to ps4 isn't forgotten. Clearly a lot of people stuck with ps this time.
It is a shame. I was one of those but went back for the series x as I do believe it is the best console now but I guess we won't get a ps3 style turn around.
@themightyant Jeff G is one thing but it was the Kepler info that is the real source. Kepler is very wise to AMD info and overall has a great track record. 6 years is a plenty good amount of time for a generation as 7-8 years is just to long and shows it’s age, especially without a Pro model to extend the specs. Plus with Cloud Series S/X owners might not miss out on anything if MS plans to include them. This could be the path forward for cross Gen and gamers that don’t care to have the latest and expensive hardware side of gaming. A Pro in 2026 does very little for them as it would likely be Zen 2 based like the PS5 Pro. Going next Gen would allow then Zen 5 as it’s been said Zen 6 would not be ready in time for a 2026 launch.
@themightyant I can see a timeframe for next-gen 2026-2027.
2026 announcement and at the end of 2027 a next-gen Xbox console. That is, if, PS5 Pro will release, and, if Xbox does not have plans to release a similar (specs) Pro version. Evidence will only be available if there’s another leak or stolen data imo.
IIRC (MS Xbox PR speak), I thought de Series S was seen as the regular console and the Series X was their Pro?
Or MS waits until they got several games ready, but isn’t that too far away? How many games can be ready for release in the next few years?
Tbh, I think Sony and MS will keep looking at each other and react accordingly, not like Nintendo, who are doing their own thing.
@Sol4ris It’s frustrating, so many patches since release but the Xbox-specific issues persist. I just want to play the game I preordered (yes that was definitely a mistake that I won’t repeat!), but I don’t want the offset, claustrophobic HUD being a constant distraction. The fact I’m having to wait until 2024 for them to fix low-hanging fruit like this is depressing.
Just to repeat what I have said before ABK…. We are entering a new era of exclusivity despite what Microsoft is saying. Sony does not want to give Microsoft any software development packages for PS5 or PS5 pro or PS6. Microsoft is keeping key titles exclusive and using Gamepass as an enticer
@BaldBelper78 Console sales mean nothing, especially when you're vision of the future is gaming services such as Game Pass and the possibility of a sub $99 streaming stick down the line. With Xbox, the console is just ANOTHER way to access Xbox games and services, which makes it simply just another piece of the puzzle. The console wars are dead, except to the sad and pathetic. I love that I could sell my Xbox right now and still access Game Pass and be an Xbox customer.
I think we have got to the end 2023 and the ABK is done and the management changes you can see them setting themselves up now for the better.
I have been seen Xbox advertising on UK TV recently and the aggressive prices cut in the USA and UK will help a bit.
They need to get some and keep momentum moving forward and release some very must have AAA exclusives.
@Sol4ris that is kind of strange. There has been a few off rumors saying Sony could scrap the Pro and get ready for the PS6. Especially if Xbox comes out in 2026, not sure Sony would want to give them that long alone. So i see the point in those articles i read, but i still think the Pro is coming. Way more has been talked about it shipping dev kit’s and what not than it being cancelled. But that is a good call out on your point and i didn’t think of it until you mentioned it. Nice work, have to see soon in 2024 what the plan is. One thing is for sure i think MS would be crazy to come out with those revised Series Consoles. Imagine the marketing of those two consoles.
Sony: best place to play games with more power on the Pro
MS: Series X and S now draw 15% less watts and has BT 5.3
I mean i don’t think they will do that, just bring out the next Xbox in 2026.
As many have pointed out, this may not be awful for the vision of a consume anywhere sub service model.
But there is a large section of the console market that is not so likely to move in that direction quickly, so having a decent install base still has to be desirable. To capture the market like Microsoft wish to, you cant leave those people behind, so getting xboxs into homes must still be an important priority.
Im not sure I can imagine a credible scenario where these results arent bad news, but Im hopefull Microsoft will turn it around, and the recent price premotions were a good start.
You may know im not a huge Microsoft corp fan, but I really am an Xbox fan. I want to see more xboxs out there and I hope we will see that happen.
@HonestHick Do you have a link to that? I've not heard of Kepler. But i've yet to see any credible evidence. Perhaps i've been looking in the wrong places.
I still think 2026 is too soon. It's all well and good Phil wanting faster console cycles, but do the majority of consumers? (Ignore us enthusiasts who are a small percentage) And what about devs? Are you going to make console generations shorter than some AAA game development cycles?
The only way I might be able to see it working is to make it a bit more like PC where you have a constantly evolving specification rather than a fixed 'generation'. But that has a lot of issues with it and you start to lose console's main advantage that it is a fixed spec that developers can optimise for, which means consoles can do far more with their relatively meagre power than an equally powered PC.
@Sol4ris Re: PS5 Pro. Most of the leaked documents are at least 1.5 - 3+ years old, at that stage, shortly after the PS5s release the Pro console wouldn't even have a have a fixed spec, so it's not surprising that it's not mentioned. Dev kits would still be 1-3+ years away at that time.
@Kaloudz That's what I like so much about leaks like this it is the ONE time when there is no facade, no BS, no spin and you actually get the fly on the wall truth. Same as the Xbox leak. Hard facts and figures, real worries and concerns. Obviously it's possible to misinterpret them, you have to be careful but it's the rawest, most honest you will ever see a company.
Whenever I keep seeing news like this it’s just makes me think Xbox/MS is going to eventually solely focus on making Game Pass even more accessible and enticing and not bother with making consoles. I hope I’m wrong but they have already ruled out a mid-gen console to compete with the PS5 Pro.
@themightyant this is a lengthy video but Red tech is among my top 5 favorites and is very fact focused and not a fanboy. If you don’t watch the full thing thats ok, but this goes over a lot. So skip around to what you care most to watch and please enjoy.
https://youtu.be/fL08liOeo10?si=1afnJNCyIfs4UUD7
While I do not care about financial report of a global company with hundreds of billions of dollars at it's disposal, I will say this to people who say XSX/S don't matter: I don't know a single person that is subscribed to GP and does not own MS console. PC gets to be a nice backup option, and I don't know anybody actively using cloud (might be due to internet situation in my locale).
@themightyant i get your point, but i don’t think 6 years is all that much of a deal breaker for dev’s than say 7 or 8. To me 8 is just far too long and holds back the advancements of technology in games. More so on console which is launching out of date to begin with. So 6 i think is the happy medium and will give gamers the choice to upgrade or play via the cloud. I can’t say if the average consumer will upgrade every 6 years but my guess would be a great many of them would as gaming is seen as great value in the home and 6 years at $500 dollars is cheap in tech when we have everything else we upgrade in less than 6 years time and often for more money. Sure there will be some that can’t or just won’t and that will be the main factor for MS to get right is how to not have those gamers feel left out and of course collect their money. All bet’s would be cloud but again until we get more information from MS, these are all guesses.
@themightyant here is one thats shorter and another good source of information thats not bias and while this one talks more about PS5, it’s worth a watch to learn more about Kepler.
https://youtu.be/aowqsIKcYPc?si=pjypcDCHhcWZc0_F
@HonestHick Thanks for the links. I used to watch Red Tech, he's very knowledgeable. But I stopped watching him as he was usually talking about things so far down the line that
A) it didn't really matter
B) it was often wrong, because things changed (not because I think he was bad)
I'll watch the video and see if I feel the same.
I get your point about waiting 8 years is too long for us enthusiasts - I'll be there day 1 again whether it's 4 years (for a Pro model) 6 years for a new gen, or 8 (boo!) - but is it too short for everyone else?
Sol4ris wrote:
That depends if you focus on console sales or not. Xbox are very competitive on revenue and possibly ahead on profit. But you make a fair point.
To both: Guess we will have to wait and see. Personally i'd love it to be true to have an unsynchronised next-gen cycles for Sony and Xbox as i'll have both.
Just give us some exclusive games worth owning a console for and sales will go up. Microsoft feels so out of touch with gamers at the moment.
@HonestHick I watched the videos, and did a little more digging. They were interesting but they all seem based around a few rumours and especially a few tweets from Kepler that have then been extrapolated. It's not like there's 20 sources all confirming the same things.
Regardless he/she seems to have a good reputation for leaks, but they get things wrong too. Both Kepler_L2 and Red Tech talked a lot about Switch Pro for example and I know Red Tech was ultimately wrong on some of the PS5/Series X specs based on rumours they had heard. That's not criticism by the way, it's a tough game, and they get plenty right, but it is one of the reasons I stopped watching his channel. It seemed a lot of extrapolation from unverified sources.
Guess we'll have to wait and see, but maybe you can give me an "I told you so" in a few years
@themightyant thanks for watching the videos and yes i agree their jobs are hard as stuff can change in a blink of eye internally. If i am wrong with thinking Xbox goes next gen in 2026, i will for sure give you your props and say i was wrong, heck i do that 3 times a day to my wife, so admitting I’m wrong is nothing i am shy from. Haha
I think it’s the best play for Xbox, but what MS does and thinks is anyone’s guess. In the meanwhile they need some great titles. They are doing mostly everything else right. Get some must have games out and they will see some success. Not PS or Switch numbers but still success and thats all we can hope for for the brand at the present time. Let 2026 work itself out, but it is fun to talk about and wonder if thats the plan. I had a lot of fun talking to you about it 😊
in 50 years consoles may not matter but today they do matter very much. all you xbots need to chill with the "hehe, its all about streaming on tv and pc gaming hehe"
this looks very bad for xbox.
A lot of you are missing the forest for the trees.
Xbox is no longer Microsoft's platform. Game Pass is. Xbox hardware is an entry point for Gamepass, as is PC, mobile, streaming etc.
Microsoft will play lip service to hardware of course, but they are much, much more concerned with subscription revenue.
Microsoft is playing an entirely different game than Sony.
@rustyduck Are you on the right sight?
Xbox is not going to catch PlayStation any time soon and MS shouldn't even focus on that. As long as Series X/S sells better than the Xbox One did, that's all that matters.
Microsoft is a software company first and foremost, it's how they have made Trillions of $ over the years. I would not be surprised if they long outlive Sony in the gaming space because as much as we may dislike it selling already dated hardware at a loss is not going to cut it as a long term strategy. Sony's debt/turnover shows the hardware route won't work forever. Technology waits for nobody.
I'm sure xbox are still happy. If they're selling enough to make a profit, then it won't matter how many their competitors sold.
Microsoft are simply playing rope-a-dope here. As soon as Sony make a slip they will come out punching their sales past PlayStation sales using game pass and series console sheer might. I just know it. Bad press is good press and all that. Big Phil Sponzer has the key to Kratos' chest. He will open it and remove the heart. Eats heart and whispers "game pass"
Things are looking up for Xbox, and their plans are certainly falling into place for the long term. Console sales like this aren't a very big slice of their gaming business anymore, and they've been pretty upfront with that.
Notice in the news too lately we've read that Sony is envious of the moves and offerings coming from Xbox and they are truly worried about their future in the business. The winds are changing directions and gaming will look a lot different in the coming years.
That said, I think Xbox has had a really slow start to releasing exclusive games and giving people a reason to choose Xbox consoles over the competition. That looks to change a lot in 2024+, and just this year they've added some great games to their exclusive lineup.
Not all doom and gloom! I love my XSX
It's shocking to me that the PS5 is selling that much more. I have all the systems, the only things I play on my PS5 are the console exclusives. The Xbox is SO much better for UX & UI, I play all third-party games on it and consequently, most of my gaming time is on the XSX. Every time I turn on my PS5 and have to reload into a game (even though it's very fast...) it's painfully annoying not having something like quick resume on it.
This just goes to show you, most people buy systems blindly and don't look at features...and of course, for the exclusives 🫠
@Widey85 Sony had one first party exclusive this year and still outsold Xbox 3:1. I don’t know how much slower it could be for them. I cannot understand how they continue to sell so many PS5s this year with basically no games.
@InfamousOrange I also greatly prefer quick resume with my Xbox, I just cannot get over the controller being worse to make it my main console. The rounded face buttons just feel so bad to be compared to the flat ones on the dualsense. 😣
