Re: GTA Remastered Trilogy Reportedly Heading To Xbox This Fall

MaccaMUFC

I called it from an article about this from Monday, only I mentioned that the trilogy using the RAGE engine from GTA V. I’ve got about £30 worth of Microsoft Reward points I was gunna put towards BF 2042 but I think I’ll put it towards this if it turns out to be true. If not then towards GTA V next-gen upgrade, I’d be shocked if that was free to current owners.

I’m only on the second main mission so I hope ray tracing gets added to the Series versions sooner rather than later.

@redd214 Have you already tried increasing the font size in the settings? Bumping it up to 21 should definitely be big enough as I’ve currently got it on 14 and I’m also playing on a 55” TV.

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator's First Hotfix For Xbox Arrives Today, Here's Everything Included

There’s been a couple of times where I’d fly over a football stadium and the 3D model hasn’t loaded, all of a sudden I’m free falling from 100K feet and the stadium has loaded properly but again I’m free falling if I fly anywhere near the stadium. Hope that has been fixed as well as some graphical glitches like black outlines on the ground with multi coloured textures.

Re: Talking Point: Where Have You Been Flying In Microsoft Flight Simulator?

MaccaMUFC

I’ve flown over my area which is a newly built estate from just over 2 years ago, as I found it, it was still under early construction, the foundations of my house wasn't even started! I then went to my old address and my old house wasn’t there, it was a random area that doesn’t exist with buildings that aren’t even there. Also there’s too much use of trees in this game. I really hope the game gets updated from time to time with new satellite images for new areas.

I’ve noticed some glitches like flying over St James Park in Newcastle then suddenly I’m being catapulted into the air. Also some bridges near Tyne Bridge that are flat models are underwater. When flying close to the ground anywhere in the game the flat blurry models and textures are shockly bad but considering the scope and size of the game world, the entire Earth no less, I guess it’s expected and no surprise. I sound like I don’t like the game when I’m fact I absolutely love it.

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator Is Now Available For Xbox Series X, Series S

MaccaMUFC

So I just did a low fly-by over New York City and noticed as I approached One World Trade Centre the game forced my plane to climb and fly over the tower. It’s a nice touch to prevent people trying to fly something like a 747 into it.

Also the hand-crafted landmarks models of Old Trafford, St James Park, Statue of Liberty etc are all currently just flat models, as if it has not yet been updated?

Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite DOOM Game On Xbox?

MaccaMUFC

Doom 3 for me. Like JayJ has already said, it’s unique compared to all the others due it being a slower paced horror game with an emphasis on exploration rather than mindlessly blasting demons. Plus I love games where at the beginning everything seems fine while exploring and interacting with npc before it hits the fan. There’s a few games like that such as Half Life, The Last of Us and others I can’t think of off the top off my head.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade Xbox & Bethesda's E3 2021 Showcase?

MaccaMUFC

@mousieone UltimateOtaku91 will only say Flight Sim is a “niche game” but that “niche game” happens to be one of the most anticipated games I’m looking forward to. There’s no other game out there that recreates the entire earth in such detail, where you can literally fly over your own home.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade Xbox & Bethesda's E3 2021 Showcase?

It’s an A from me. I thought it was a fantastic showing, lots of games coming to Game Pass that adds to it’s already incredible value.

I see a lot of negative people saying they were underwhelmed, if that show didn’t excite you at all then I seriously think you should take up a new hobby. There was a lot of variety of games on show with a lot coming out in the next few months. No big surprises? Redfall didn’t surprise anyone? Sure it was all cgi but a new IP nevertheless.

Re: Dolby Vision For Gaming Is Now Rolling Out To Xbox Series X|S Insiders

@Dezzy70 I still have my reservations about OLED with burn-in, faded pixels etc but it’s the price that is the deciding factor with the 65” being around £1,700. If I do get it I’ll be getting burn-in cover. I’d rather have the new Neo QLED but I wouldn’t settle for less than the flagship 4K and the 65” is £3,000 that’s too much for a tv for me.
