@Blessed_Koz Yeah, this is a great way to stack GPU right now and is how I do it. Eventually, I'd expect them to plug that up though, maybe they could introduce a yearly GPU sub to compete with Plus.
@Resi32 The games are listed in an official Ubi blog post as being shut down, online server wise. Blog is dated April 18th so I doubt it's just maintenance, blog post is linked in article^
@TooBarFoo Waiting for confirmation on that. There are other images going around too from other web pages so this "Winter 2022" change might not just be on the Brazilian store.
@Richnj Because the guide is about PS Plus vs. Game Pass, that's what people want to know about. I titled that section based on that, but once it's explained, it's clearly closer to Gold, hence the summary. Speaking of which, I wonder if that Xbox ditching gold rumour will crop up again soon...
@Richnj No, because Game Pass doesn't include online play/gold. It felt unfair to compare Game Pass to Extra, and rightly so because extra is a lot more money! At this point nothing from Sony really compares to standard Game Pass - That was PS Now!
@themightyant I know PS Plus yearly is cheaper overall, but as you say, GP is on offer so often that essentially, that's less per year too. This is just a quick guide to compare what each service provides each month, along with that monthly cost.
@LtSarge Really good point, Ubi+ on there would be big. What if they could pull something off like a premium tier that includes every single back compat Xbox/360 game? Could be another option but might be tough logistically.
@antstephenson Yeah, this is a big thing I don't like about Xbox's system either, it's probably the biggest downside to Smart Delivery. I wish you could choose to keep the older version on a HDD. As this is an online game, I'd assume you'll be forced to update. The next-gen version is about 80gb.
@antstephenson As far as I'm aware, you're correct. To get anything close to Cloud Gaming you've got to go to PS Plus Premium, and even then, it's only PS Classics from what I can tell.
@SolarSailor Yeah, I think that's what he's alluding to as well. They spoke about timings for co-op/forge too early, and they don't want to do that again, hence we've not heard much about S2 yet.
@HungryHungryHomer It's my understanding that it IS just GOTY winners, not other award categories, but it covers different award shows not just The Game Awards.
@Roqka Nice! Just to be clear, it's only the crossover DLCs that are free, so the Rambo, Stranger Things and Danny Trejo missions. The Season Pass is on sale though, which covers the other DLC packs.
@Nightcrawler71 I think pretty much any other Xbox exclusive could slip, even Redfall, into 2023. I think Starfield is nailed on though, they seem right on course for that date given how early it was revealed.
@Tharsman These will be free upgrades. However, Capcom hasn't yet revealed whether they'll be native Series X|S ports or enhanced last-gen versions. Given that these all run One X enhanced code already, I'd assume they'll be native ports. Hopefully we hear more soon!
@Zucaritas Each version hasn't been 100% clarified yet, but in the video within this article, the developer refers to it as "Xbox series platforms". So, that should mean series X and S are being worked on.
@Richnj I don't personally agree that post-launch content = live service, but that just seems to be the general community consensus these days, especially if it's an online game. I think people have a slightly different view on things if it's a single player game with expansions...for now.
@themightyant Thing is though, you can't really release an online game these days and not say it's a live service can you? Of course we're gonna get post-launch content, and by that admission, it's classed as a live service. That doesn't mean every online game needs tons of content every month or so. It's about time we paid attention to the fundamentals of these games and enjoy them for that, we don't always need to look for "what's next".
I just want to come in here and say that this argument is purely based on content. The BTB matchmaking was a major issue for months, that deserves to be scrutinised and so do any other major technical issues. However, I've had very few problems with Infinite outside of that.
@BrilliantBill Interesting theory. I too think 8k is a stretch, performance improvements seem more likely. I could see a physical Series S-level system, or maybe a digital X-level system. Time will tell!
@MaccaMUFC That sale countdown should just roll over. Xbox is weird sometimes and only puts week-long discounts on before it then says 7 days again the following week.
@BBB Me too. Polyphony has this tendency to carry things across generations, where Turn 10 tends to use that time to rebuild. A full rebuild on Series X|S is an exciting prospect.
@JayJ E3 seems to live on in spirit but not in name. Geoff Keighley's 'Summer Game Fest' has basically taken over, but that tends to be spread across multiple events. I expect Xbox to have a big show somewhere in the summer.
@Banjo- It doesn't explain much because sadly, Rockstar hasn't explained much yet 😅. From what we can gather GTA V will be a full priced game, but you can buy online on its own, and that'll be cheaper. We just don't know the exact price of online yet
@AhabSpampurse From what I can gather, there's no free or discounted upgrade. GTA: Online will be available on its own though, which will be cheaper than the full game.
@JayJ I'm very into racers, all of your listed games are great choices. However, this list is for Game Pass specifically. I know the library veers more towards arcade, but this was intended to make Game Pass players aware that there are a bunch of great racers in the library, not just Forza.
@Boldfoxrd Usually we don't, but these days Xbox doesn't do many sales for non-BC games anyway. This week's were just Far Cry 4 on Xbox 360, and XBLA game Rotastic.
@antstephenson That extra content is a nice jump over the reboot, but a lot of it isn't properly utilised in story and campaign mode. More importantly though, the actual racing feels identical to 2019, and I feel a few tweaks to make cars feel more unique to handle would have been nice.
@Halucigens I didn't get the opportunity to test a wheel out, but Legends feels like its build for playing on a pad. Wheel could add a bit more excitement to proceedings though!
@Dezzy70 I hope it does focus on this gen only. That'd make sense, especially if they go back to the original for inspiration, maybe open things up again.

Re: Here's How PlayStation's New Services Compare To Xbox Game Pass
@Richnj I do compare Essential to Gold...it's right there in the first breakdown.
Re: Here's How PlayStation's New Services Compare To Xbox Game Pass
@raftos If/when Sony fully details those markets, I'll add that info in. For now, it feels a bit pointless.

Re: Here's How PlayStation's New Services Compare To Xbox Game Pass
@antstephenson I just added a small note that Extra misses out on cloud gaming (and EA Play, which is another GP win), it's defo worth mentioning!
