As this service expansion is currently a preview program, users in the above nations will have to sign up to gain access via the Xbox Insider Hub. Microsoft says that the first preview month will be available "for a special testing price", which will of course vary by country.
Last April, the PC Game Pass service also launched in five Southeast Asian nations as Microsoft continues to grow Xbox Game Pass around the world. Great to see!

Does that mean the Xbox live is available in those countries as well?
@ZYDIO @Kaloudz Well, not necessarily because this is just PC Game Pass. Of course, you don't need XBL Gold or anything for online play on PC.
And THIS is why Microsoft is the leading gaming company, not Sony. Game Pass is all that matters, not console sales.
I'm surprised it wasn't in countries like Perú and Uruguay. Cool to see the service expanding in those territories.
Excellent news.
If gamepass is the future for MS, then it makes sense to expand and improve the service on PC, which has so many more users than the consoles.
I've had issues with its PC implementation with non working titles and features missing from GP versions which are on steam etc. This steady state of improvements and expansions is, IMO, the way that MS can continue to grow and eventually dominate the market, so its good to see them concentrate on where the big win will come from.
And why they aren't 'concerned' about not selling as many Consoles as Sony/Nintendo as they can grow their 'user' base on other platforms, why they aren't concerned about Game Sales figures as they can 'reach' many more people through a 'Sub' fee, sacrificing ownership and/or 'long' term playability for access through a service.
Those countries now with Game Pass on PC may well not sell many (if any) consoles at all, but are still part of the Xbox ecosystem.
So I woke up to find Friends and Family available to purchase in New Zealand as well. But don't see any mention on purexbox.com.
Man, was just pondering about this news, this is huge, why don't i see this news everywhere else? This has a great impact... probably not ABK related so not news worthy? That almost doubles the countries PC gamepass was in first.... and probably a sign Microsoft is seeing that the ABK deal will close soon.
