Competitive shooter The Finals has been the talk of the FPS town this week, as the game's new playtest has become available on PC through March 21st. As of now, the test isn't available on console just yet, but, will the full game launch on Xbox?

Is The Finals Coming To Xbox?

The short answer is that yes, The Finals is coming to Xbox at some stage. The team at Embark Studios has announced this game as a current-gen console and PC release, with an Xbox Series X|S version firmly in its plans.

The Finals doesn't have a solid release date yet on any platform, although it seems to be aiming for a broad 2023 release. For now, we'll have to await more information from the team on an Xbox release date.

What Is 'The Finals' Game?

As for what the game actually is, well, first off it has some real pedigree behind it. The Finals is a free-to-play FPS coming from a bunch of ex-Battlefield devs who are using their experience with EA's blockbuster franchise to create something brand new. Early impressions of the preview build on PC have been largely positive as well, so things are looking good for the game so far. At the moment, The Finals is "coming soon" as a free-to-play release across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5 systems.
