After what feels like a very long time of waiting, Arkane's Redfall release is finally upon us! As the studio is now under the Microsoft banner, Redfall is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, so we thought we'd put together a quick guide with all the Redfall release times, dates and download sizes to get you ready for next week. Just a few days to go!
Redfall Release Date
The Redfall release date is May 2nd, 2023. The game will be playable on Xbox Game Pass across Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Redfall is not coming to Xbox One, however you can still play the game on that console via the cloud.
Redfall Release Times
The Redfall release time is 1am BST on May 2nd.
The UK launch time translates to 5pm PT and 8pm ET on the evening of May 1st.
Here's the full global release time schedule for Redfall on Xbox Game Pass:
Redfall Preload Times
Redfall is already available to preload on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
If you're a Xbox Game Pass member, you can go to the Xbox Game Pass app, find the game, and then select the "Pre-Install" option. On PC, you'll need to use the official Xbox App to do the same thing.
Redfall Download Size
Redfall's download size weighs in at around 77GB on Xbox Series X, while the Xbox Series S version is about 40GB. Over on PC, you'll need roughly 103GB to pre-install Redfall.
These download sizes could change prior to release if Bethesda decides to push out pre-launch updates.
Looking forward to Redfall finally hitting Xbox Game Pass? Let us know if you're playing it day one!

Wait, I can start playing on Monday night at 8PM (East Coast, USA here)?!
Heck, yes - that's around my normal gaming time anyways!
@GamingFan4Lyf Yep! Arkane provided the global time schedule. Enjoy!!
@Kezelpaso I very much will be enjoying this again. I have been waiting in anticipation to play the final version!
Have it pre installed and look forward to playing it.
I have it preinstalled too but I doubt I'll be playing at 1am BST but at least when I do get to play, it should be ready to go straight away...
I'm glad it's not 103Gb on Series X as I'm running out of space quick! Microsoft should charge devs per Gb for server fees, etc. Maybe that'll help keep sizes in check.
I can't wait play this game! The bad hype is silly and completely unnecessary.
The 60 fps people are the video game equivalent of, oh I only eat organic.
I don't understand that a Microsoft first party game is not optimised well enough to release on day one with 60 fps and good resolution, I mean it's their machine they are supposed to know the thing like the palm of their hands. They have no excuse. Games on switch I can understand, but on a series x , they sold the thing with a 4k 120 fps sticker on the box.
Redfall's not available in one x. Daaaayyyyymmmmm really need a series x right now.
I'm not exactly 'put off' by a 30fps experience, it's just I can't remember the last time I played a first-person shooter at that frame rate. So I'll be jumping in and hoping for the best, fingers crossed it's a good time.
Smart delivery continues to be amazing. Even in the small likelihood I ever play this.
Looking forward to playing this on Series S! grateful its not over 100gb like Jedi Survivor!
Will get around to it once performance patch is released, no rush
Playing Monday night as soon as it unlocks! Ordered the Layla themed controllers (i’m a sucker, so sue me). Was excited about the game since announcement and literally picked up a series x this past week for the game (but have been practicing by playing Destiny 2 since I’m not familiar with FPS games)
