Welcome to the weekend! If you're looking for Xbox content to keep you busy over the next few days, we've had a bunch of new Xbox Game Pass titles this week, there are two fantastic Xbox Free Play Days additions, the XDefiant technical test is ongoing, and there are over 350 new deals on the Xbox Store as of this past Tuesday!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

To be fully transparent, I'm probably not going to be playing a lot this weekend due to matters relating to a recent loss in the family, so it's a struggle for me to fill this out! If I do get some spare time, I'll likely spend it with Hogwarts Legacy as I continue to progress through some side missions and just enjoy exploring the world around the castle.
That said, I did also buy AVICII Invector in the ID@Xbox Gaming Together Sale this week, and although I've only played a little bit so far, it seems really good! It reminds me a lot of another great music-based game called Aaero, which was given away as part of Xbox Games With Gold back in 2021. Definitely happy with that purchase.
Have a good weekend, everyone.

I'm playing something super top secret right now on Xbox, which I can't discuss just yet, so that'll likely take up most of my gaming this weekend. A busy one ahead!
However, if I can set a little bit of time aside I may also jump into the xDefiant 'tech test' to see what Ubisoft's upcoming shooter is all about. I'm actually up for something that plays more like a classic CoD game than where Activision's shooter has headed in recent years, so I'm definitely excited for this one if the team can nail it.
Have a great weekend, folks!

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line on Switch, Like A Dragon Ishin on Xbox, Castlevania SOTN on PS5 in anticipation for Dead Cells DLC.
Dragonflight
Wanted Dead! I just love this game
I finished OlliOlli World a couple of days ago.
I'm currently playing inFamous 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
figuring out Mount and Blade.... Or at least trying to.
Hogwarts Legacy. I finally unlocked the iconic killing curse Avada Kedavra. I'm literally killing people left and right LMFAO! If you combo it with Crucio, then it becomes so freakin powerful. Such a fantastic game and I hope it wins some awards despite being shrouded in controversy.
On Playstation 5 I will be playing some Hogwarts Legacy and Wild Hearts which I'm having a blast with so far.
On switch I've finally completed Bayonetta 3 so now I can focus on getting Fire Emblem Engage and Pokémon Violet done, I've also started up Wind Waker HD on the WiiU as i never actually got round to completing it.
Take care Fraser. I'm just waiting on my smart delivery upgrade for like a dragon ishin, which has arrived early!
Series S: I decided to give A Plague Tale Requiem another shot and I'm absolutely loving it.
Ps5: Nothing
Switch: Xenoblade 3. Gonna mop up the last side quests I got left before the final wave drops later this year. After that, ng+ run.
We might give the Wild Hearts trial a go.
Other than Sea of Thieves and Halo Infinite for me!
My wife is replaying Dragon Age: Origins again because she recently tried Risen and really didn’t enjoy it at all.
Hogwarts legacy on ps5 I'm about 25 hours in so far and loving it also downloading shadow warrior 3 on xbox maybe try that out later on if I've got time.
Mostly Hogwarts Legacy, but I might jump into Gears 5 with the guys tonight if it ends up working out for each of us. I'm going out to California on Thursday to see the new Nintendo World part of Universal Studios, so while I'm still playing Fire Emblem Engage, I'm also sort of saving it for the trip!
I finally beat Metroid Prime (Remastered) for the very first time. It’s such a fantastic game. That said, I do have a love/hate relationship with one aspect of the game: Obscure artifacts. I appreciate that the game makes you utilize every single ability, weapon, and visor at your disposal, but some of the items you need to collect are vague, primarily the artifact located at Phendara’s Edge. There is no way my 12-year-old self could have beaten this game when it originally released on the Nintendo GameCube.
One thing I absolutely adore about the game, however, is the tone it sets. It really makes you feel that Samus is essentially a stranger on an alien world; and I found it really special that you’re learning about the world at the same time as your character. It made me feel like a scientist in a sense — scanning artifacts, computers, enemies, and the environment to understand what’s transpiring on this planet. It was masterfully done.
Now that I’ve completed Prime, a part of me wants to do another run in Metroid Dread, but I also want to jump back in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I put roughly sixty hours into the game when it first released, and got near the end of the game (late chapter five), but I haven’t touched the game since late September. I got real busy with life and wedding planning, so I put it aside. I’ll more than likely start a fresh playthrough.
I just found out if you pre-order (Yakuza) Like a Dragon: Ishin! you can play the game early. Considering reviews being favorable, and Yakuza 0 being one of my all time favorite games, I think this is what I’ll be delving into over the weekend. I’m only an hour into it, but so far it’s great.
I beat the masterpiece that is Hi-FinRush last night, then started up Hogwarts Legacy.
Forza Motorsport 7 💚
Hi-Fi Rush, played it a bit the last couple days but been buys and not been able to do much gaming. Only two levels cleared for far.
I’m not great at the rhythm thing, but do manage to hit it once in a while.
On my Xbox it's Like a Dragon Ishin. Feels like a typical Like a Dragon game but with swords and guns. Have to get used to the different fighting styles but loving the game this far.
On my ps5 it's Hogwarts Legacy. Absolutely amazing game. I love big open world fantasy games with magic and this game is exactly that.
On PS5 I’m back in on Horizon Forbidden West. On Series X I’m still playing and enjoying Hi-Fi Rush in short bursts. And a little bit of Gears 5 Single player replay. Have a great weekend!
I got so much to play right now it's kind of overload.
Switch
Xbox
Hogwarts Legacy all weekend long! Beautiful to look at and immersive, I’ve been really taking my time settling in as the new student.
Back to Yakuza Zero, haven't played it in a while
I’m playing Callisto Protocol finally. I’m enjoying it, it’s not scary at all which makes it easier to play 😄
@Kaloudz if it goes well this time you're in for a treat! Fantastic series.
@Kaloudz I’m a huge fan of the Gears original trilogy and I don’t wanna take a dump on your parade but I thought Gears Ultimate edition was bad, I played it after getting a series console. It hasn’t aged well imo and the AI of your team mates is downright broken, they’ve never fixed it, it was a complaint when the game first released I believe.
I want Gears 1-3 to get a full remake and for them to do those games justice. Ultimate edition didn’t I feel.
Madden 23 (Series X) Started a career mode on it. Enjoying it so far.
Octopath Travler (Switch) With 2 coming out, it reminded me that I never finished the first one so, I guess I need to do that.
@Total_Weirdo new to Xbox? Please try Ryse Son of Rome!
Trying to complete before they leave: Aliens Isolation and Far …
Modern warfare (2019) on series x -fun but some of the graphics on this game seem very odd. Huge download required for this game too (even though I have I physical copy).
Age of empires II series x - working through tutorials!
Toy story 3 series x via BC
@Kaloudz might be of interest to play the original gears of war on the series x (if you have one). The game has both a resolution + fps boost via BC.I played it recently and it’s great.
Continuing my 2nd playthrough of guardians of the galaxy.
Also I recently restarted jedi fallen order... im liking it a lot tbh not sure why i stopped playing it back when it was released. Ill try to finish it this time to be ready for the 2nd game
Still on Hogwarts Legacy, and also recently found Terminator Resistance... thanks for asking
@Total_Weirdo I also bought/playing High on Life but probably shouldn't have because I only got about half-way before the jokes started grating me (just not my cup of tea), even though I really wanted to like it... so wish I could trade bought digital games with others.
I pulled out my old 486 PC and loaded up some classics. This weekend I will be playing Long Dong Silver: The Voyage Home and Ding-A-Ling Harry 2: Balls Deep in Trouble...Again.
I'm playing the original Metroid Prime before the physical remastered release comes. Still an amazing game.
Its a weekend in hogwarts for me...
Maybe some more Forza Motorsport 7, now I have a gyro steering solution Im loving it.
Still on with Midnight Suns and giving the free trial of Wild Hearts a try.
Not starting anything else then before Atomic Heart next week.
I picked up Marvel's Midnight Sun on sale and started it, just doing the tutorial. From that brief play I see what the hype was about and cannot wait to play more!
Hogwarts and Dead Space on Xbox Series X. Good combination, very different game that allow me to play them interchangeable without confusing the input.
Just finished Hi Fi Rush on Friday night. What a game. Best I've played in years. Hard to know what to play after that.
@RentedPanda you won't be disappointed. I found a bit of a lull after 10 hours, but kept on and the game gets bigger and really does keep you invested. My favorite game for a long time - never enjoyed a turn based or game like that before!!
Thanks @Pepa27 , I am only an hour or two in (maybe a little more, time seems to melt away) and am really enjoying it!
