Maybe this will have a shrinkable 4K component to remove 4K textures like Hogwarts Legacy or Persona 5 Royal. - That shed quite a bit of GB when you drop the 4K for the Series S.

Not really into horror movies or gore, but I am actually looking forward to this game. The kind of mindless fun I have been looking for after a rough few months.

Frustrating that Sherlock Holmes games are so much cheaper on PS than Xbox at full price and sale. I wanted to also play on my Xbox but the PS Store deals are just too good to pass up.

I hope players realise MS aren't ever going to remove the adverts. They could change everything, but the adverts will remain. Relevant ads would certainly improve things somewhat.

An easy fix, allow players to change the tile size on the main dashboard. Tile sizes could be amended by tile or by tile strip.

That way you cover accessibility for those that require larger tiles and those than don't can make them smaller to see more of their themes.

Ubisoft is in a bit of a dry patch right now but once the new AC set of games, Avatar game, Skull & Bones plus other big titles drop there will be a big uplift in subscriptions. There are some really good looking games coming up for Ubi in the next 2-3 years.

Got mine, code worked fine in the UK for me.

Might be handy for when the new games come out, but I prob won't be using it otherwise as I already own the ubi games I like (Watch Dogs and Far Cry Series).

Maybe those people can just delay their purchase or when they begin playing rather that make everyone else wait.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure most people who will try/play this game won't even know what 30fps even means.

Brought one and they are pretty good. Definitely one of the better 3rd party wired controllers you can get at the price point and the Dolby Atmos is a great edition. Sensing some confirmation bias in the chat 😅

I think all games that are aiming to push tech should have the end of 2023 as a target date to drop last gen consoles. I'm pretty confident others will keep launching Xbox One and PS4 games esp well into 2025.

If nothing else it does look really cool!

We are using our confirmation bias to assure ourselves that something we are invested in now will still be around in 10 years time because the past was wrong. One day consoles won't exisit - that day will come when they are no longer profitable to create/push software. Once cloud and internet tech improve, consoles are gone. Games will be digital and it will be all done through a much better looking screen than what we have today. Controllers and other accessories will be sold as needed.
The timelines is dertermined by progression. Could be 5 years or 15 years.

It looks like what I imagined a Marvel or DC game to be in the year 2023 - souless and online.

@Moonglow More day one drops -like- Wo Long (Games I am interested in or haven't already brought). I would never say GP is short on date in date AA and Indie games. AAA 1st and 3rd party day in date is -currently- lacking however.

Gamepass always puts the games on that I already own like soul hackers 2.. grr. hoping for more launch day drops like Wo Long

Honestly without even joking one of the worst games I have ever played, and I was a sucker who paid full price and launch because I generally wanted to give it a chance.

Just a reminder that my so called "pessimism " is due to owning an xbox console for nearly a decade with nowhere near the sort of output it should be achiveing vs the insane investment MS has put into the Xbox gaming divison. The project management has been factually proven to be poor year after year with missed launch dates, delays and unfinished games at launch for AAA games. There are some good indie games coming out, but when you have great hardware, you want cutting edge software to enjoy it on also in the 3rd year of this generation. The last few months have really fatigued me and I can see a few others moving that way too. Hopefully Forza Motorsport can push the needle in the right direction again and then a strong finish to 2023 should shore a lot of that up.

Xbox studios needs a major overall with project management. Too many years of mostly poor output and missed deadlines. I will be shocked if this game comes out by the end of June (the newest target date).

A few thousand boycotted the game, and a few million brought it. A shock to nobody outside of the twitter and gaming media echo chamber.

As much as the CMA can be a little over zealous, the market share in the UK for Xbox and Playstation is a lot closer to 50/50 so I can see why they are viewing it thier way.

I can see the love poured into the game, and very happy that the hard working dev team will be rewarded with good review scores and huge sales.

Played a few hours myself now and I am loving it so far! Def agree with the 8-9 range.

I have this pre ordered on my PS5 due to the extra quest and features but If I did get it on my Series X I would 100% be flying to New Zealand on Monday and be playing the game at 11am UK time. I just couldn't justify to spend another £75 for 13 hours extra but if you aleady have it on Xbox thats a big bonus for deluxe edtion owners.

@smoreon The fact i can't use quick resume or play a lot of my xbox without the internet is the real issue here, esp as the internet is very unstable in my area. I have no issues on my Switch or PS5 which are themselves very security heavy so no idea why MS can justify it to be honest.Not every has access to stable and afforable internet as I said before.

Like the Xbox itself, a lof of Xbox games use the internet to do heavy memory lifting, so I can assume it is this. I can't even run quick resume or most of my games when my internet goes down.

Naturally people who are lucky enough to access affordable and stable internet won't worry about this.

Looks interesting, I am just curious what the diffuclty ramp will be. Ive never played any souls like games or really any fps games that require ultra timed reflexes. I navigate turn based and Yakuza games fine but I do wonder if this might take a signifcant amount of my free time to master. Being a Yakuza fan the game looks right up my street though.

At the end of the day it is 2 bilion dollar corps fighting over billion dollar deals to create billion dollar growth in an ever changing gaming market that is nearing saturation. I just brought all the consoles over time so I don't have to care who stops what and when.

Played a few hours and I am enjoying it so far. I am enjoying the social elements and turn based gameplay.

I shall be picking this up when it goes on it's first sale, hopefully around Xmas. Looks interesting!
