Hogwarts Legacy is now officially available for anyone to bought (or buys) the Deluxe Edition of the game for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, with the standard version arriving three days later on February 10th.
Now that players have had access to the game, they've been encouraging anyone playing with a controller to change two particular camera settings in order to make the game feel "smoother", as you can see below:
This post on the Harry Potter Game subreddit has racked up over 2500 likes over the past few hours, and the vast majority of people seem to be in agreement that it's improved the experience for them. We've had a play around with these settings here at Pure Xbox, and we do like the way the game feels - so maybe give them a try for yourself!
If you haven't got access to Hogwarts Legacy yet, there's not long to wait! For now, you can check out our "Excellent" 9/10 review here at Pure Xbox, along with all the information you need about release dates and release times.
Have you tried this technique yet? Tell us down in the comments below.

Hogwarts Legacy does not exist in a vacuum. There are important discussions being had about the views and opinions held by the creator of the Harry Potter universe – views and opinions which we do not agree with.
Our goal is to create and foster a positive environment for people – all people – to discuss and celebrate video games, not to amplify ignorance or provide a forum for unconstructive arguments. As per our community rules, we do not accept any form of hate speech on our platform.

I will give it a try! thankfully I haven't had too many issues so far apart from the robot voice!
Thanks. Not had any issues on fidelity mode, but wil try this setting.
I always go through all settings at the beginning to test this kind of things but I know some people never even enter the setting menu. They might now after this

I would like to note that my post that was deleted for flaming/trolling was in support of trans people if this can be left up! I would not like the deleted post to be perceived that I was supporting any other position.
@FatNugly If you like fantasy rpg's, you would probably like Hogwarts Legacy. It is set in the 1800's so it won't have anything to do with Harry Potter. But if you don't like the Harry Potter universe, chances are you probably won't enjoy it near as much as what fans would.
Thanks for this! I changed the aforementioned settings quite early on and it definitely feels better. Have been playing in fidelity mode and so far no issues. Will give performance mode a go at some point just for comparison.
The pointless post at the start of EVERY Hogwarts comment section feels like a weird trolling at this point. C'mon, be better than that.

Please delete this post: but wanted to say, we'll done for deleting both sides of a conversation that Pure Xbox doesn't want here. You were clear in your statement & have now been clear in moderation. Thank you.

Hopefully either I remember this by the time I decide to buy the game on a deep discount, or they patch the console camera defaults.
Does anyone have a good HDR settings for a LG C1?
As someone who gets motion sickness easily, stuff like this is appreciated. Thanks for covering the game and not ignoring it.
What on earth is going on with this comments section? Half of the comments are removed, people are getting banned and I’m clearly out of the loop. Nothing new with that last point though.
@The_Pixel_King in Pure Xbox’s defense, the person who got banned most certainly deserved it. They might have been joking but there’s some lines you don’t cross.
Thanks for this. Will definitely try this when I finally get the game today (thanks Royal Mail!😂)
Is the first comment really needed anymore lol?
Apparently the first amendment doesn't apply here. What a shame.
@ZeD It allows the site to maintain some quasi-highground while they silence people like communists.
Those settings were a nice improvement. And the game is doing a great job with accessibility. Such a high quality game!
@PeteyPiranha would help to first learn how the first amendment works. It only prevents the government from interfering with your speech. This site is not a government entity, heck, it's not even based in the US.
Good to know.
My copy doesn’t arrive until tomorrow. So will definitely bear this in mind.
I've heard a lot of good things about this. Trouble is I know nothing of the Harry Potter lore, I've not seen a single film or read a book so I'd go into it totally blind.
Is it worth playing just as a game, or do you really need to have knowledge of the Harry Potter universe to fully enjoy it? Would it be a decent game without any licensed IP, like if it came out as Wizard Person & The School Of Magic.
I mean I could watch a film to learn a bit, but I'm in my 30's, it's not really aimed at me and I'm sure I'd find it dull like I do with most fantasy/magic films, plus they're about 3hrs long from what I've heard.
@LostSock Hi, I'm similar to you, in my 30's and don't really know much about Harry Potter, although I did watch the first one last year and really enjoyed it! I decided to get the game the other day as found a great price. I just started the game today, played the first hour so far so good! It's quite nice to play a game without knowing what it is about and what to expect for a change lol.
I read the game is set in the 1800's which is before Harry Potter's time so I don't think you need knowledge of the films/books to fully enjoy it. Probably best to watch a walkthrough on youtube and see what you think?
