Hogwarts Legacy Preload Time For Xbox
You can already preload Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox right now ahead of launch.

Hogwarts Legacy does not exist in a vacuum. There are important discussions being had about the views and opinions held by the creator of the Harry Potter universe – views and opinions which we do not agree with.
Our goal is to create and foster a positive environment for people – all people – to discuss and celebrate video games, not to amplify ignorance or provide a forum for unconstructive arguments. As per our community rules, we do not accept any form of hate speech on our platform.
This is my most anticipated game of 2023!!!
I’m looking forward to experiencing JK Rowling’s world in this detail. Did Quidditch not exist in this time frame though?
Shall wait out for reviews as for plenty to play and also some good games coming to GP February, March, April and May.
I only buy games now if they are of exceptional quality in all areas.
Plus open world fatigue is starting to set in now a days.
Will they ship the physical version of the Deluxe early to keep the 7th?
@KonstantTrouble Several people have it already, so maybe. I've got the digital version pre-ordered.
@Dezzy70 Only got until Monday to wait for them 👍
When you do these types of articles regarding upcoming games, could you also state the review embargo date/time? Most of this info is readily available, but embargo dates can often be dubiously hard to find. I want this game to be good, but am not getting caught up in the hype until reviews are out.
79.5 gb on Playstation 5. That’ll be because of the Kraken thing the PS5 has, makes games up to 45% smaller.
@OM1993
Yes thats when the embargo lifts.
@jordan1992
Yes about 25% smaller.
Then sometimes once all installed on both consoles it can ends up the same.
Work that out.
@Dezzy70 not a clue wat ya mean. The size is the size. It’ll be 79.5 on PS5 once it’s installed.
@CaptainCluck is it even called Quidditch anymore because of the backwards world we currently live in?
I hope everyone looking forward to this game enjoys it, could be the biggest hit of 23.
@jordan1992
Meant more the Xbox.
Not sure but sometimes it ends up matching the PS5 file size.
It happened with dying light 2 and it ended up being a series s and x thing.
But once fully installed on the series x the file size wasn’t as big.
Probably the way it’s done for so called smart delivery thing.
@Welsh_Will We're often not allowed to discuss embargos unfortunately.
If reviews are good on Monday morning, I'll move to New Zealand and play the deluxe edition.
I have this preordered, and thats a rare thing for me to do. I know from early reports that this is a world I want to explore, and hopefully it will be a fun game too. Roll on next week..
@FraserG Fair enough. I mean, pretty rubbish really, but I get it, nature of the beast and all that. Thanks for the reply anyway!
I had £17 loyalty points in October that expired in a week so i used them to pre order this. I know nothing bout Hogwarts, never watched a Pottersi movie but this looks very good.
Suprised Sony even allowed mention of this game coming to Xbox
@old-dad Its not Sonys game, so they have no say in the matter?
Truth hurts, but I suspect 80% of sales will be on the ps platforms. I may have a series X, but my pre order is on ps5.. Im afriad im 'part of the problem'.
I have this pre ordered on my PS5 due to the extra quest and features but If I did get it on my Series X I would 100% be flying to New Zealand on Monday and be playing the game at 11am UK time. I just couldn't justify to spend another £75 for 13 hours extra but if you aleady have it on Xbox thats a big bonus for deluxe edtion owners.
@Dezzy70 I know what you mean about open world fatigue. With only a couple exceptions I’ve skipped so many big games for several years now that were open world time sinks. Some I’ll go back to eventually, but I’ll only get a game like that periodically now, and only if it seems like an interesting world. That being said, I actually went from having zero interest in this when first shown off, to now a little bit more. I’ll watch reviews and make a decision from there. But I’m hoping it’s enjoyable.
@xMightyMatt14x
That’s my approach see the reviews see what the open world has to offer before buying and jumping in.
It does look interesting at the minute though.
@Titntin
I don’t think you are part of the problem.
I think shall I buy.
Then I think we’ll I have GP.
Atomic heart Feb
Wo Long March
Minecraft April
Redfall May
Do I really need to spend £60 on another game.
@Dezzy70
I wont play Atomic Heart, I wont go into reasons here.
Wo Long is too tough for me, I wish it wasnt.
Minecraft, absolutely nothing im into there at all.
Redfall, was highly skeptical at first, but the conference means Ill take a look.
I absolutely need a new title Im sure Ill like 😀
@Dezzy70 thought you sold your xbox?
pc/cloud now?
then you say open world fatigue, but name atomic heart and redfall, go figure.
@stvevan
Got another one, I know mad 😂
Yes they are open world that’s true but they seem a bit more steam lined. We shall see.
@Titntin
Not really looked into it but some maybe political unrest with atomic heart?
@Titntin you're not a problem. It's Sony using 1980s tactics about games on there platform. Ms is not even allowed to advertise the game coming to xbox because of sonys paid exclusive.
Just another reason why the AB deal should go through
I've just joined the purchased deluxe edition club, I hope it's brilliant and worth it ,then again it was purchased thanx to Microsoft rewards so no big loss if it's not as gd as I think it will be , just 3 months to get the points back lol
So ive got the digital delixe edition but while the install says installed its only showing about 300mb not the 79gb+ is this due to the preload not being live yet??
@Gh05tm4ch1n3 It should have downloaded by now.
