Good game. Unfortunately, I feel like the buzz for the game died very quickly.

Consolidation will just lead to more games being siloed off. Xbox will get some, but Sony will buy Square (bad for the industry!) and google/apple/nextlix will exclude Xbox from various titles due to their growth.

I wish Xbox didn’t buy studies and just got their current studios to produce quality games in a reasonable pace.

When do reviews drop? Is it concerning that we get the game in a few days and still no reviews? I believe the embargo lifts the day before…

@BrilliantBill my real question is, is there a fear that they decide against certain features or design around the lowest common denominator (Nintendo systems). Lots of Series X/S or PS4/5 discussions about games being held back.

Do you think this could hold it back? I think COD is already on so many platforms it won’t.

Any COD fans worried that this will hold back development of future COD games to meet switch/switch pro specs?

Given CODs ubiquity, I don’t think so. But y’all know better than I do.

How many said it was boring and a walking sim, but are now hyped because it’s on Xbox?

It’s a great game and a unique experience. I hope everyone tries it, regardless of past comments.

@Bleachedsmiles FYSA they previously had a program (Sony Rewards) that they discontinued most of the ways to earn points in game this year. You’d get rewards for getting trophies and buying games, if memory served me correct. It was a Sony website that was not often talked about or well known.

@SplooshDmg what do you like about the game? Love me a vampire game, but more so a single player Vampyr kind of game.

@Krzzystuff While those titles were delayed, my issue isn't with delays necessarily, but Xbox management. PlayStation still had Returnal, Ratchet, Miles, Demon Souls, and a few other smaller titles that released in the year before. This year they have Horizon, GT, and GOW. Xbox has had minimal releases, Halo and Fortza — and nothing this entire year!

I just want Xbox to produce quality games consistently. Fortza and their PC games are on point. Their console and non-sim games are not in a good place and haven't been for a while.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, what is going on with the management at Xbox studios? I get delays, it happens all the time, but no major first party releases for an entire year? PlayStation will have Horizon, GT, GOW, and possibly another title if rumors are to be believed.

I'm so tired of giving Xbox another year to get their first party up and running.

@TheAshCohen09 This does make their show more interesting. I'd guess they are looking for a big third-party to put day one on Gamepass for a splash to make up for the delay.

@riccyb0y yeah, an issue for one person out of millions seems like a non-story to me. The article even states, “we just don't see it all that often.” There are much bigger technical issues ongoing with Xbox to report on than one users issue that may have happened a few times, infrequently, in the past.

Seems like a non-issue. By now everyone should know to restart an electronic device if you get a weird error message.

Seems visually great but gameplay is just ok. Unfortunate, but I'll still check this out.

Sadly, I'll wait to see if it comes to Gamepass. I am part of the problem.

The Disney one looks up my wife's ally, but it looks janky. How do you get such valuable IP but not be held to higher standards? I guess they spent all of their money on the IP.

He has a history of hyping up just good or ok showcases. Why don't we let the hype build naturally and blow them away with a good show.

Just my guesses/hopes:

1) Open with Deathloop re-reveal+DLC to gamepass in September;
2) Gears teaser;
3) Redfield trailer;
4) Summer/Fall Gamepass announcements with one banger;
5) Close with seven minutes of Starfield.

@KilloWertz I hope you’re wrong, but I don’t have a ton of faith given how little we’ve seen.

Delay it as much as needed in order to release a good game. I wonder if this signals a Starfield delay in the coming months.

I hope he stays multi-plat, despite his last outing.

I'll wait for Gamepass.

Best part is you can't lose. You can always jump to another person an continue the game. Having your character murdered, losing lands, etc, are all part of your story--it's fun! I can't imagine using a controller to play though . . .

@VisitingComet1 I've already been sucked into CK3 for dozens (hundreds?) of hours. One of my favorite games.

Series X verses PC, anyone know which one the controls/gameplay is geared more toward? I'm torn between trying it on PC vs. by box.

Just be quiet and let the game do the talking. They are setting themselves up for expectations they will never meet with these comments.

Why still have Gold. Bad games, bad press, every month. Roll it into Gamepass.

@StylesT Shortsided. I'm a fan of all systems now that I'm old enough to afford all of them. Microsoft is great, but what they have done with Halo is awful. It has such good gameplay but 343 has been dropping the ball for years now.

Did you think they put out a product to be proud of?

And are they proud now? Campaign with one grassy area and gray/blue interiors. Meh graphics, good gameplay, and live service elements botched and a lack of communication.

So disappointing on what could have been. Give Halo to another studio.

Anyone know how long the deal will stick around? I'd prefer to wait until I can watch the whole series during my one month.

I'm excited to play and will likely love it, but I love the headline. Xbox exec says xbox exclusive is great. What's next, PlayStation exec says Horizon is great?

I doubt they are very similar other than having limited open worlds. But that's hard to say as we haven't seen much about Starfield.

It is true that another meaty, well done, RPG with a major IP coming out at the same time is not preferable, but Starfield will do well off being free on GP.

I've been concerned with Xbox being able to manage their studies and this just fuels that fire.

Little misleading as two of the five, and two of the top three, were developed when they were not the publisher.

Some run better on one, some the other. Both are indistinguishable in virtually all instances without software to tell you where it went from 50 to 48 frames.

I never was a fan of the "most powerful box" argument for the Series X. Give me a box with fun games.

I'd prefer one really polished product.

Why is everything about acquisitions. Board members are looking to cash out while the industry consolidates, and we get less creativity and more exclusivity.

Microsoft should focus on the studios they do have, growing them, developing new IP, and putting out high quality games.

Heard of the series, but I have no idea the genre/type of gameplay. Any comparisons from fans of the series?

PlayStation needs more shooters and Xbox needs more third person action rpgs. But they both continue to do what they do best. Oh well.

@Xiovanni TV show is dropping is a great opportunity to force a quick settlement on a case you may not otherwise win on. Paramount and all involved may not want to miss the opportunity and money associated with the TV launch and they may want to make the problem go away quickly.

Dirty but smart. Or not their strategy and I'm reading into it.

This only contributes to the definition of what a "Gamepass" game is. They need to give less broken fodder and just focus on the one or two great games a quarter with some indies sprinkled in.

I mean, it was an Indy game. Now they are funded by a trillion dollar company and are working on it for the better part of a decade…

Congrats on retiring! That’s a long time with one company. I hope she gets to travel and spend time with the family.

For context Destiny sits at around 60k average right now and it's before an expansion, a typical dead/slow time for the game.

I got to give respect to anyone giving it a high/low score. Takes guts. I'll wait on this one.

Good. Perhaps some of the multi-platform stuff was in negotiation with Xbox and COD.

@themcnoisy if they had a choice, yes. I doubt they did. MLB likely opened negotiations for cuts with the other publishers and Xbox pitched Gamepass.
