@mousieone and Apple was criticized for that. Are you really arguing Xbox's naming system is a good one? That there is no room to improve? There is this article written, and others, showing it is confusing.
@mousieone but the Iphones (for the most part) do go 1, 2, 3, 4, with iterations at the start X/S/R . . . It would be like the Iphone 1, Iphone 360, Iphone One, Iphone One X, Iphone Series X, etc. I would assume the X would be the tenth, the 360 the third or the newest, the series X|S I don't even know.
It's clearly confusing consumers — hence this article and others in the past. It doesn't matter if you or I understand it. They need to have it be simple for the mom opening up Amazon before Christmas. They even get their own naming conventions messed up . . .
@blinx01 the Iphone goes with the numbering system (Iphone 3, 4, 4S, 5, 7, 10, 12, 12XS), with the the X and S in some generations, minus a few examples. We wouldn't be having an article if Xbox did that.
All the comments on here defending the naming. It is confusing. I get it and I assume most on this site will get it — we are enthusiasts. But the general public who is the vast majority of buyers will be so confused. Most of the confusion comes from the One X vs the One Series X. It's too close.
What happens for the next generation? Series P? Doesn't sound as cool, so they go to a different naming convention? The conversation should be about how great the games and system are. Is this a big deal to me? No, but it is an unforced error.
I'm excited to get my Series X, but I'm more excited for the Game Awards. I assume we will hear something about some Xbox games from there. I don't know what I'll even play day one to feel next gen. PS5 has Demon Souls, Miles, and a few others, but I'm not sure for Xbox. Maybe AC? I just wish we had one thing that was super pretty and new, or even remade.
Still hyped, but just wish I was excited to play something.
Love that he is concerned for the health of the teams, but lets not kid ourselves. If the game was serviceable or close, he'd have them crunching to get Halo out for launch. I'm wondering what it will look like when it's re-reveled after the staffing changes and when that is. Perhaps E3/summer games.
@Krzzystuff I agree. I don’t care about graphics that much, more art style and gameplay. But it’s frustrating to see them missing easy PR beats. Have fun!
Great video, but the "new" visuals didn't look great. Might just be the stream, but nothing seemed particularly impressive. I'm curious to see how Cyber Punk looks on the Series X vs. the PS5.

Re: Viral Videos Show Xbox Series X Emitting Smoke, Possibly Fake
Mine works great but does emit some hot air out the top, hotter than I’d expect, and had a smell to it. Heated plastic?
Anyway, no big deal. Happy to have it.

@Krzzystuff Thank you very much! I'll look into that.

Glad I got a Series X

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Again, Now Releases In December
This hurts Series X. It was going to be the premier game to play near launch. Oh well. Better late and great then on time and fine.
Re: Gallery: This Is What The Xbox Series X Looks Like Next To The PS5
I like the look of all three. Size doesn't matter to me (don't make the joke), unless it's a handheld/portable.
