The Halo TV series is officially out today, March 24th, after years and years of development, and delays. Eventually, following said delays, it's arrived on Paramount Plus, which means you can watch it for free!
That's right, last week Xbox announced that a free month of Paramount Plus is now a Game Pass Ultimate perk. So, through Microsoft's subscription service, you can make a start on the Halo TV series at no extra cost.
Paramount Plus isn't available in every region just yet (we're still waiting for it here in the UK), but if you're in the US, you can definitely claim this perk and get watching!
Will you be tuning into the Halo TV show over the weekend? Or sticking with the games? Let us know in the comments!

We have it here in Sweden, but of course no perk for us! Edit: Was wrong, now I got the perk and it is available in quite a few countrys. 🙂
If ppl want to watch all the series it's best to wait till near the end of April to start this offer as the last episode isn't on till may 19th
US ONLY. Yet again UK payers get excluded
show is a blunder....dont watch it.... nothing but bad reveiws.
@mac01208 To be fair it's always likely a show like this is going to get largely bad reviews, doesn't mean some people won't enjoy it. Look at the Uncharted movie, 41% rotten tomatoes score, 90% audience score and around $350 million in ticket sales.
point awarded
I've just watched it really enjoyed it Shane you have to wait to watch them though
Anyone know how long the deal will stick around? I'd prefer to wait until I can watch the whole series during my one month.
@Bdbrady Looks like you can claim it by 5/23. The last episode airs 5/19, so you can watch them all in your 30 days then.
Not available in my country. Time to hit the high seas.
CGI is cringe.. there are movements that were product of engine limitations in earlier games. Somehow, they decided to turn that into a normal behaviour in live series universe
@BartoxTharglod you perfectly summed up my feelings on it. There were some parts I enjoyed, some parts I didn’t and some I just felt were complete cringe worthy. I wouldn’t say the show was bad, I liked it enough to stick with it, some of the special effects, sound effects and swapping perspective just didn’t do it for me. I also really didn’t like how the mounted turret did nothing against the Elites when the general was using it, but as soon as Chief picked it up it shredded them in seconds. There were some very strange choices made that’s for sure.
JUST A HEADS UP!
I noticed two nights ago out of the blue, that the other two games that are part of the GTA Remastered collection, Vice City and GTA3 are now just randomly available for free. I am assuming they will be coming to Game Pass soon or something and this is a glitch.
San Andreas came to Game Pass on its launch date. N the other night I was randomly going through the "Full Library" section of my games, which is over 300+, which made it extra random that I noticed the addition of the other GTA games.
I downloaded both and they both fully work.
Also another heads up... Far Cry 6 and Lost Judgement are free to play this weekend!
Far Cry 6 has some random DLC coming out too that is a collaboration with the Netflix show Stranger Things.
Thanks Pure Xbox for being such a great place to find Xbox news!
No. But thanks
@Stoned_Patrol i checked... and unfortunately they are not available for me. Did you have San Andreas installed before making that discovery?
its generic tv could have been good but nope
@Resi32 Portugal too.
@mac01208 the show is just fine, not worse than many overrated shows over the years.
As for the perks, paramount+is not rolled out globally so they can't offer it everywhere, it's either somewhere or nowhere at this point.
@Odium the general was shooting all over the place, the spartan shot in their uncovered faces.
@demian I apparently missed that, I was only able to half pay attention to it while I watched it. I don’t disagree that it isn’t worse than any other overrated show lately. I didn’t love it but I certainly didn’t hate it, I’ll keep watching to see where it goes.
@Odium that's my understanding at least, humans got scared, were shooting everywhere while the spartans knowing the covenant armors could withstand shots and being expert marksmen shot at the face. It makes sense as a tool to show non familiar viewers that they are super soldiers.
I liked it a lot myself, there's not many scifi series out there, especially with the expanse gone. And I like Pablo schriber since he got his uncle killed by the Greek in the wire.
@demian I definitely like that take on it, looking at it from that perspective it changes my opinion on it.
Outside of a few choices they made I more or less enjoyed it. Sure, it had some jank to it, but overall it was fun. I’m reserving the fact that I hated there was a human on the Covenant until I see how it pans out, I’m all for creative liberties if it makes sense and pans out in a cool way, so I’m hoping that’s the case here.
