Re: Five Things An Xbox Handheld Needs To Include When It Releases

VisitingComet1

honestly the rog ally is pretty great I have both versions. and a car plug and some extra batteries.
I just did a 12 hour trip from where I live to the west coast for a funeral and it was great.
but I play games like pillars of eternity, tavern keeper or kynseed on long trips. playing no Man's sky and 7 days to die on it while plugged in is great.
I just don't see what an Xbox handheld would do better especially with the cloud gaming expanding to non game pass games.
the one feature that would be great is being able to pay for a wireless account for it like my watch.

Re: Talking Point: If GTA 6 Releases This Year, What Does Xbox Do With Fable?

VisitingComet1

obviously gta is the big dog at the table, but if I had to choose between the 2 fable wins everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. I bet there is a large crowd of Xbox people who feel that way. Currently I have no burning desire for gta 6. I'm sure it will be the most successful game ever but I really do think Fable has a pretty big market if it's not a mess when released.

Re: Talking Point: Avowed Premium Owners, What Are Your First Impressions?

I'm really digging the magic. the mele took a minute to get used to. idk if it's the first person view or what but it feels a little bit off to me. what it's really made me want to do is pause it and finish the first two games in the shared world. so, that's a testament to it's quality. It seems like I'll really enjoy it.
The closet game i have to compare it to recently is just how much better it is then dragon age veilfraud.

@Lup I played a ton of the romance of the three kingdoms 3, and4 on the snes and several for the playstation 2 they were some pretty fun times for strategy games. I loved all the old Koei games Uncharted Waters 1&2 and the P.T.O. series Nobungas Ambition didint like the newer stuff in those series though less strategy more action or graphics I guess.

@Markatron84 ya I have a ton of hours in all their games and there are bugs, but what he's describing I have never experienced. on topic I wish it were Morrowind with just a combat system update. that game was so good the non hand holding and being able to kill main quest characters. It was to me their best of the bunch oblivion is tons of fun though.
here is a tip for crazy fun in oblivionsteal the goblin totems from the 6 or 7 different goblin tribes and place them all together some where with guards you get a giant melw when the goblins try to take them back and free loot from the bodies

Re: Xbox Has Reportedly Delayed 'A Big Game' Into 2026

@OldGamer999 I read this article late so hence the late response. anyhow I think fable would do fine even next to call of duty. I'll never play a cod but fable is the single most talked about wanted game from my core friends that I made in the og Xbox live days. I still remember how excited I was for the first second and third and how dumb I thought Microsoft was mandating that stupid 4 vs 1 and ***** Kinect game then closing the studio.
long winded point being I think fable will sell because a certain group of og Xbox players liked it as a series. It won't do cod numbers but I think it would do fine.
My bigger issue is gamepass turning into a gating mechanism where they are delaying games due to bs calendar manipulation?

Re: Talking Point: Is There A Popular Xbox Franchise You've Struggled To Get Into?

Man for me it is gears of war I have never even tried it not once. Forza is ok i just get tired of the dlc this and dlc that cars I kinda feel like your getting ripped off after a point.
Halo was great I just have not played it in awhile But had some great times in 2 and odst.
Fable is def my fav native xbox series 1 was good 2 was great 3 wasnt that good to be honest. Really looking forward to playgrounds attempt.

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Dev BioWare Thanks Fans For Support

@Hurblyburbly I don't know anything about skill up and other people's agenda. I as a lover of the other three games story will give you where I'm at.
1 was just incredible 2 I didn't care for the gameplay loop but the story was great 3 I felt was more like 1 and the gameplay was great again.
For me all three had great stories and were very interesting.
the things I was worried about in this one have been proven pretty much unfounded. they changed to a more action combat like 2 and you lost some second to second control of your companions. they also changed the art style.

The combat is actually great and you can tell your companions what to do and they have skill trees like you that you can lvl and chose from I'm really liking both these things.
the art direction change seems fine I have no opinion on it one way or the other but I used to play packman. I think some other shots were taken about the writing and some of the alternative lifestyle stuff too. While I don't care for that stuff personally it's always been in bioware games so it should probably be expected.
all that said so far it's a good game to me I made an earlier comment about it being tedious but I was under the weather yesterday and its feeling pretty good to me right now the story is starting to take off and it's been good so far
sorry for such a long post.
