Welcome to the weekend! We've got great stuff to enjoy on Xbox over the next two days, including a couple of new Xbox Game Pass titles, another batch of Xbox Free Play Days additions, and some amazing deals on the Xbox Store!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

I've got a very busy weekend ahead of me for multiple reasons, so I don't foresee myself spending much time on Xbox in all honesty - any time that I do get will be spent with either Balatro or WWE 2K25.
Of course, the beauty of being busy is that I can at least carry my Nintendo Switch with me and enjoy many of my favourite Xbox games on the go, so that's probably on the cards this weekend. I can't wait for the Xbox handheld to be released so I can use the excuse of needing a portable Xbox for these situations! I've been hovering over the 'buy' button for ages now with the ASUS ROG Ally and Steam Deck, but it might just be worth waiting a bit longer...
Have a good weekend, folks.
What are you playing on Xbox this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

Still on Avowed, about 80% through now. It doesn't capitalise on the excellent start, and has some really bad oversites and bugs (ever played an RPG with no light spell or torch?), but it's still a good time!
Intend to start Star Ocean second story on ps5 tomorrow having
picked it up in the sale at a good price.
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun!
Dragon Age: The Veilguard - So I´ve practically only been playing Veilguard as there are games coming soon I want to play and didn’t want to be in the middle of this game. It’s a good looking game with a sense of being in a beautiful fantasy world, art direction is great, and combat is good enough and exploration, meaning finding hidden chests etc, is fun. I finished the story and got the “bad” ending since I focused on the main story and did little else. There are some things I wish were better though, the story could have been more “seamlessly” told and some of the dialogs (and topics in those) I wasn’t interested in felt forced on me. However, after having watched the other endings, I feel like the one I got made the most impact on me and sort of felt right given the game is about fighting really powerful gods. I mean how good can that end?
All in all I enjoyed the game more than I expected, and don’t regret not doing all the side stuff that would have given me a “good” ending and I don’t see myself going back and completing all the side quests and go for the platinum which I often do in games like this, I´ll just be satisfied with my playthrough and leave it at that as Im happy with the ending I got.
I'll be on gears 5 this weekend getting a few achievements and I'll be on that new gamepass game aswell mullet BoJack or whatever it's called sorry forgot the name of it but it's a very good game haha!
Happy weekend peoples 👍
Mullet Madjack, that game really is great. I'll also be playing some Star Wars Outlaws, and Ridge Racer 6 on the good old 360
Just beat Bakeru on Switch half an hour ago. Debating on wether to continue Jedi: Survivor on Ps5 or wether to start Sea of Stars on the Switch.
I'm still cleaning up Rare Replay. Maxed out the stamps for most of the classics (I just have Jet Force, Ghoulies, and Killer IG to go, and then I'll be on the 360 games from the list - Banjo, etc...).
Avowed only on the second major area but seem to be 100% so far almost.
What a great adventure and action balanced game with some good exploring mixed in.
Simple to get into and the whole upgrade system is straight forward and not over complicated.
I've just finished Silent Hill 2 this morning on the PS5, I'll be starting another run-through of Bloodborne as it's been a few years, It should tide me over until the Atomfall (Series X) release.
Huuuuge backlog here but this weekend it's Star Wars Outlaws (I waited for a sale and the numerous patches and you know what? It's Star Wars and it's fun), Split Fiction with my wife and hopefully some more Alien Isolation VR (an hour at a time for both battery and pant wetting reasons).
@16BitHero Glad you are enjoying it. I've finished it now, but still intend to go back and complete some secondary missions as I just love being in the world!
Finishing Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii before Assassin's Creed Shadows comes out.
Amazing game, incredibly fun.
This weekend I will hopefully finish Astro Bot.
Think I only have like one world left or something.
@Titntin Once the feedback became positive after a few big patches, as a Star Wars fan I knew I couldn't say no for $20. It's very immersive in terms of characters, music and world building. I definitely want to see and do most of what's here despite having an insane backlog of many higher rated games.
I'm enjoying Ninja Gaiden Sigma this weekend.
I've managed to beat Solar Ash last week and Evil West this week before they leave Gamepass. Then I went to No More Heroes 3 but it didn't click with me so I've dropped it and came back to beat Avowed.
Avowed for me was an 'okay' experience, the main story is superficial, the side quests are mostly fetch-quests or hunt-quests. But the combat was cool (played as mage) and the world is beautiful.
Suikoden I HD Remaster for me. Fantastic game that still holds up today. Never played II, so excited for that one. These should tie me over until South of Midnight and then my most anticipated game of the year in late April, Clair Obscure: Expedition 33!
On xbox: Avowed and WWE 2k24
On switch: trying to finish up Mario Wonder
Finishing things up in Avowed, before AC Shadows comes out next week. Not sure exactly how long I have left in Avowed, but I know I’m near the end (am in the “Garden” area). Also still playing Two point museum. Still in the campaign mode, and now have two museums open. For my second museum - they give you a choice of either supernatural or aquarium themed - I chose supernatural. I can see this is going to be a game I can dip in and out of for ages!
PS5- WWE 2K25 and Metaphor Fantazio
Series X- Disney Dreamlight Valley and Monster Hunter Wilds
Switch- Mario Party Jamboree
Avowed (Series X) I am just about to wrap up Dawnshore. I have a few areas to explore and the main quest line to finish.
WWE 2K24 (Series X) Started up a GM Mode against my son. I am currently Eric Bischoff running WCW and he Teddy Long running ECW. We also threw in a couple of computers just to spice things up a bit.
World of Warcraft Classic Anniversary (PC) Still playing this one mostly just been building up my crafting lately.
This is a rare weekend that I actually get a good amount of gaming time. I’ll continue making my way through Tails of Iron and Avowed. I also grabbed Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, so I’ll spend some time with that. Finally, I randomly decided to throw on Burnout Paradise last night. I’m not much of a race game fan but I enjoy Burnout, I was having a great time with it last night.
Been playing Monster Train as well as Power Washer. I even put on High Fi rush and forgot how good that game is …
WWE 2K25, I installed it today and I guess, I will have some time tomorrow.
so is wwe2k25 any good? the last one I played was 23 I think when the introduced wargames. was thinking about getting this one.
Sucked back into Everquest for the first time in a while. Player run server called The Heroes Journey, it's pretty incredible and blew up in popularity, usually well over 2k people online. Lots of fun and takes me back to the last millennium. My wife is hooked too, it's the game we met in after all.
@Retrokingdan How are you getting on with mullet madjack I'm at the last boss he doesn't mess about railgun seems the best to use but I'm only getting him to about half health before I die have you done any better??
Microsoft Wordament (Android) - Dailies and Adventure mode as usual.
Final Fantasy (Windows Phone) - Just starting with this.
Microsoft Minesweeper (Windows Phone) - Finally done with this one. Deleted it and moving onto the next one.
Well here we go with another cool WAYP. The week was some awesome games all around. Mostly Trails Through Daybreak, Mario and Luigi, Monster Hunter, Pirate Yakuza and FFXIV Dawntrail. Also got to start Lost Records Bloom and Rage and that sure was something alright. It’s fun. It’s cute. But it’s mostly just Life Is Strange again mixed with like Yellowjackets? I mean it seems fine but in terms of games it’s definitely at the back of the line. Most of the weekend was spent with Trails Through Daybreak. Was again in the city spending time with the GF so the only game I’ve gotten around to is another Trails session where I’ve made it to the Finale Chapter. Again it’s the special time that matters more then games tho so who cares hahaha. Rest of the weekend I’m thinking is gonna be some Trails Through Daybreak and Monster Hunter Wilds. Trails I really wanna beat soon so I’m just gonna keep chipping away at it and Monster Hunter is still a GOTY Contender for sure where each new monster is just more fun to hunt then the last one was. Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Trails Through Daybreak, Emio, Dawntrail, Mario and Luigi Brothership, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Dynasty Warriors Origins, Monster Hunter Wilds and Pirate Yakuza. Yes Emio and Mario Party are back on the docket as I wanna knock out most of my first party Nintendo games before the Switch 2 Direct. Also wanna try to start Disgaea 7 as that was a gift I wanna get around to. Wanna try to install the copy of WWE2K25 I got and also pick up copies of Atelier Yumia, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition and Assassin’s Creed Shadows too. March do be a crazy good month for games man. The wrestling thing this week being NXT Roadblock and the Road to Wrestlemania. NXT Roadblock was something I got to see in person this week and honestly it was magical. The Theater at MSG rules and seeing Giulia Versus Stephanie Vaquer was absolutely amazing and well worth the price of the ticket. As for the Road to Wrestlemania what can I say except we’re in that time of year like playoffs for football or March Madness and it’s just electric and amazing as we get hype for Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas. Anime of the week gotta go to Solo Leveling. Yeah I’m getting caught up on just that for now and it rules it seriously is a work of art. Super exciting and awesome action scenes. Been trying to start some new shows too like Daredevil Born Again after seeing so many ads for it in NYC. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Last Stand Media, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel Podcast and Remap Radio. Big shout to Weapon Wheel on this one it seriously is one of my favorite podcasts right now. As always yall stay safe, be awesome to each other. Have a totally cool weekend and of course Happy Gaming.
@Ricky-Spanish I haven't got that far yet to be honest, the third boss keeps beating me. For some reason I've decided on a Katana only run, which probably doesn't help lol
@Retrokingdan Hahaha no worries buddy enjoy the game ✌️
