I find it very hard to be concerned about an industry that has the average cost of AAA games development pushing past $150-200 million (regularly) then complaining that it's not sustainable. Perhaps it's time for a new approach to how games are made... 🤔.

There is a reason why Microsoft are a 3 trillion dollar company ( cue, not overly bothered were its coming from?). And if PlayStation and Nintendo gamers can add even more to that absurd amount, they'll not going to refuse it.

Sony are not in the business of sharing their games, they are paying Squeenix to do the exact opposite, with the likes of FF7R, Rebirth, FF16 and these are third-party to begin with. I just can't envisage established Sony ip's coming to Xbox any time soon.

If it comes with the rumoured 2TB internal storage, it will, in fact make it a superior version. All Microsoft has to announce is the optional disc-drive add-on...I'm hopeful ☺️.

Who needs Sherlock when even the suits at WB realised(finally)that this was not the game players were waiting for. Sadly now its only a matter of time before they'll announce layoffs at Rocksteady..

so unfortunately we're not expecting to see Pacific Drive on Xbox for at least a few months, if not a year or longer

And that is fine, there's plenty to play(unless it will turn into a FF7R situation). Give our backlogs some respite...

I've been playing a lot of DQ and NNK and my experience good. I guess because they are rather tame games 😄.

No Sir, only the first two games are on Xbox (sadly) and more or less Dreamcast ports. Shenmue III was developed by Ys Net, and published by Deep Silver. If memory serves, it was announced on the same stage (time) as FF7R, I might be wrong though.

Meh...but since we now debate wishful thinking, I would chose Shenmue III over this every single time. I'm also aware that we are talking Sony here, so my chances of winning the lottery are greater than Shenmue III on Xbox 😁.

We're pleased that the team has committed to new consoles and preserving our digital libraries, but we still feel like we're not 100% sure on where Xbox will be in 10, 15 years!

Undoubtedly it will, and the absolute onus is on Microsoft to walk the tightest of ropes if they care about GamePass growth and all the other advantages console hardware makers benefit from. We'll see where we will be in the next decade, but I'm certainly not worried for the foreseeable future.

I'm quite surprised at the numbers, especially because GamePass Core members are also included in the 34 million. I expected the combined numbers to be higher, are Microsoft bleeding GP numbers?

No I can not. It was worded poorly(apologies), I meant live service games a la SOT or to a lesser extent Grounded.
If Halo wouldn't be such an Xbox mascot, the MP part of Infinite would benefit from going multiplatform too. Just my opinion of course.

I never claimed that the PlayStation community was the most vocal. What I did say was that this whole thing didn't happen in a vacuum. Yes (most) Xbox owners went armageddon (online), but let's not pretend that other gaming communities played no part. That would be disingenuous...

I also don’t want to mislead customers on those other platforms. We’re launching these four games, and we’re excited about it. We’re excited about the announce and everything else, but we’ll see what happens for our business.

Clear and concise. Will this satisfy certain quarters and those that love to speculate? Nope, not in the slightest, the show must go on...

The Xbox community did indeed went full blown apocalyptic, but let's not pretend it happened in a vacuum ....what Xbox franchises did you cast your vote on over at PushSquare😉

Just as very few people predicted, smaller (in the experimental category)games, games that thrive on a healthy number of players. All decided on a basis of what makes most sense for Xbox and Microsoft.....and whole lot of free publicity.

Xbox is dead, long live Xbox. A whole lot of makes sense burger, let more people enjoy great games.....Still nothing, I mean nothing will top the (over) reactions of the last two weeks 😅.

I have my Series X on wireless and on average is showing 120mbps when downloading from a 250mbps connection.

Much more annoyed at the gargantuan size of some Xbox first party games, it's now a regular occurrence to go above 100+GB.

I don't want to speculate on what Microsoft will or won't announce, but one thing is absolutely certain. Whatever they'll do it will never satisfy some/or a group of people, its just not possible...

For quite sometime Phil Spencer and Microsoft were telling us that their plan was to bring more games to more people, (or) as many as possible. It was never a secret!
Back then, some people were calling Spencer a liar, turned out he was quite forthcoming, granted we are/should be waiting for details.
