If Microsoft seriously believes in the every screen is an Xbox future they recently stated, than better start improving Xcloud...in a very significant way .
If people arenβt deeply concerned then they need to get their heads of the sand very quickly indeed
I find it very hard to be concerned about an industry that has the average cost of AAA games development pushing past $150-200 million (regularly) then complaining that it's not sustainable. Perhaps it's time for a new approach to how games are made... π€.
and in the past she spent eight years as an Executive Producer at Epic Games - working on the likes of Fortnite and Gears of War

All the best in her new endeavour at XGS.
Wrong actually, they are paying Square Enix to make the game and they helped fund development
Sure mate, I hear they are also in the business of selling bridges to those interested in believing them. And circular debates are just that π ...circular (have a nice weekend).
that 3 trillion dollar company thats making games for playstation and switch now , that one
There is a reason why Microsoft are a 3 trillion dollar company ( cue, not overly bothered were its coming from?). And if PlayStation and Nintendo gamers can add even more to that absurd amount, they'll not going to refuse it.
Sony are not in the business of sharing their games, they are paying Squeenix to do the exact opposite, with the likes of FF7R, Rebirth, FF16 and these are third-party to begin with. I just can't envisage established Sony ip's coming to Xbox any time soon.
If it comes with the rumoured 2TB internal storage, it will, in fact make it a superior version. All Microsoft has to announce is the optional disc-drive add-on...I'm hopeful βΊοΈ.
This year, Suicide Squad, one of our key video game releases in 2024, has fallen short of our expectations
Who needs Sherlock when even the suits at WB realised(finally)that this was not the game players were waiting for. Sadly now its only a matter of time before they'll announce layoffs at Rocksteady..
No Sir, only the first two games are on Xbox (sadly) and more or less Dreamcast ports. Shenmue III was developed by Ys Net, and published by Deep Silver. If memory serves, it was announced on the same stage (time) as FF7R, I might be wrong though.
Meh...but since we now debate wishful thinking, I would chose Shenmue III over this every single time. I'm also aware that we are talking Sony here, so my chances of winning the lottery are greater than Shenmue III on Xbox π.
I'm sorry to see you go mate π. But you have to remember that PureXbox are first and foremost Interested in the clicks (revenue). Everything else is secondary, everything.
We're pleased that the team has committed to new consoles and preserving our digital libraries, but we still feel like we're not 100% sure on where Xbox will be in 10, 15 years!
Yet somehow you are 100% sure where the likes of Nintendo and PlayStation will be in 10, 15 years.....or even yourselves, PX, etc, etc.
and that'll make Sony's platform very inviting if Xbox franchises start appearing over there
Undoubtedly it will, and the absolute onus is on Microsoft to walk the tightest of ropes if they care about GamePass growth and all the other advantages console hardware makers benefit from. We'll see where we will be in the next decade, but I'm certainly not worried for the foreseeable future.
I'm quite surprised at the numbers, especially because GamePass Core members are also included in the 34 million. I expected the combined numbers to be higher, are Microsoft bleeding GP numbers?
just curious, can you name 1 game that would thrive on a low player count?
No I can not. It was worded poorly(apologies), I meant live service games a la SOT or to a lesser extent Grounded. If Halo wouldn't be such an Xbox mascot, the MP part of Infinite would benefit from going multiplatform too. Just my opinion of course.
I never claimed that the PlayStation community was the most vocal. What I did say was that this whole thing didn't happen in a vacuum. Yes (most) Xbox owners went armageddon (online), but let's not pretend that other gaming communities played no part. That would be disingenuous...
I also donβt want to mislead customers on those other platforms. Weβre launching these four games, and weβre excited about it. Weβre excited about the announce and everything else, but weβll see what happens for our business.
Clear and concise. Will this satisfy certain quarters and those that love to speculate? Nope, not in the slightest, the show must go on...
You, along with every other Xbox owner, got mugged off buy this company for a whole week
Genuinely interested how was I, an Xbox owner mugged off for a whole week. Seriously I need to understand the mindset of someone who actually comes up with these sorts of claims. It's a bloody games console, what am I missing here?? ππ€¦ββοΈ
the problem was the Xbox community taking those and turning them up to eleven while quoting from the Doomsday book
Not entirely true. Unless now we are counting dedicated single platform websites like PushSquare as part of the Xbox community, not to mention the multiplatform ones. The Xbox community did indeed went full blown apocalyptic, but let's not pretend it happened in a vacuum ....what Xbox franchises did you cast your vote on over at PushSquareπ
Just as very few people predicted, smaller (in the experimental category)games, games that thrive on a healthy number of players. All decided on a basis of what makes most sense for Xbox and Microsoft.....and whole lot of free publicity.
Xbox is dead, long live Xbox. A whole lot of makes sense burger, let more people enjoy great games.....Still nothing, I mean nothing will top the (over) reactions of the last two weeks π .

That is true, but then again have you forgotten what fun was to go all hysterical with overblown bizarre takes about the death of Xbox? Oh and lest we forget about the immense fun PushSquare had over which franchises PlayStation owners are most interested in coming over to the PS5 π€£π€£.
Also, Sony fans aren't spreading misinformation about this yet as they're only discussing rumours
But of course not, never said they would. Sony fans are reasonable folksπ and this whole drama, debacle or whatever one wants to call it, is all on Xbox fans.....and why did you bring Sony or its fans into the discussion π€.
Xbox fans scream if PlayStation fans spread misinformation but then do the same thing to try and play down these brand damaging rumours
So what you are saying is that Xbox fans should just join the PlayStation fans in the misinformation bonanza,(not like there's a shortage of it) that is now become the norm. I mean, why would anyone wait on an official statement, when the alternative is so much more enticing...
Hi-Fi RUSH and Pentiment could begin a new era for Xbox
