Re: These Are The Top-Selling Games In The Xbox Spring Sale 2024

Sol4ris

@Ricky-Spanish

I'd say it's still a challenging enough game

It's challenging enough all right πŸ™‚. Having played the DS trilogy ( just keep falling out with Elden ring for some reason) I belive Sekiro to be the hardest, since you can't do co-op or over-level and the combat is pure split-second parrying perfection. It has some of the Tenchu dna fused with fantastic FromSoftware systems. Great, memorable and challenging bosses, it also has sublime traversal.
Sekiro will always be in the top two greatest games I've ever played. (please buy itπŸ˜‰)

@ShadowofTwilight

I mean, you got defensive so that says it all

Says the Sony guy whilst arguing with half a dozen posters about what Sony might or might not doπŸ˜….
Like I've said, DF Direct touched (last week)on the subject and it can have legal ramifications depending on how they (Sony) approach this(assuming Microsoft will have an Xbox branded PC). But hey, you just dig your trenches deep and keep fighting that good fight...πŸ˜…

I forgot that the Xbox community seems to be full of armchair analysts and businessmen nowadays

Right, so not at all unlike the Sony community then, huh?

Re: Xbox Establishes New Team Dedicated To 'Game Preservation And Forward Compatibility'

Sol4ris

@ShadowofTwilight

lol, the Xbox community is an absolute riot

Sure, yet somehow the PlayStation community puts them to absolute shame in the riot stakes......figures 🀣🀣. Glass houses and all that πŸ™„

Yes, Sony would find themselves in court

Depending on how Sony approaches the situation. DF Direct were talking about a scenario where that could potentially happen. You should watch it.

Sol4ris

we remain committed to bringing forward the amazing library of Xbox games for future generations of players to enjoy.

Fantastic, I'm all for it!
It's one of the (many) reasons why the Xbox ecosystem is/will remain my main gaming platform.....reads through the comments section πŸ˜€, ..yep the usual Sony suspects are very much present to pour cold water on this news πŸ˜….

Re: Leaked Images Reveal 'First Look' At White, All-Digital Xbox Series X

Sol4ris

@OldGamer999

Price wise they have to match Sony at Β£390 in the UK with the discless PS5

I would go much bolder with the pricing here, say Β£299. The main reason is to have a real differentiating factor since (assuming this thing is/will be a real sku) it doesn’t seem to offer the modular approach the PS5 slim provide.(as far as we can see from the images)

Re: Phil Spencer On Porting Exclusives: 'Every Decision We Make Is To Make Xbox Stronger'

@NEStalgia
πŸ˜…
And Sony's...well Jim thought it was services, then they decided it's not and threw him out the nearest airlock 5 years too late and cancelled it all and right now are re-entering orbit without parachute

That reads terrifying, but at least Sony and PlayStation owners don't have to contend with the thought of major game maker(s) not supporting the platform...

Re: Phil Spencer On Porting Exclusives: 'Every Decision We Make Is To Make Xbox Stronger'

Sol4ris

@Fiendish-Beaver

If I am thinking this way, as an ardent Xbox fan, you can bet many, many others feel the same way. It's honestly thoroughly depressing

You know, I also see myself as an ardent Xbox fan (with a huge digital library) and just don't see the drama. But for the laughs, I would like to see the reactions here if Phili Spencer would make a statement, saying:
-After careful consideration we decided to make all future ABK, BethSoft etc fully exclusive including COD, even with the caveat of paying enormous sums to get out of our contractual clauses. The end.
What do you think the reactions would be? We have to remember Microsoft has already stated their desire to bring more games to more people, during the ABK takeover.

Re: Phil Spencer On Porting Exclusives: 'Every Decision We Make Is To Make Xbox Stronger'

Sol4ris

@awp69

Speaking of exclusives, why has there been plenty of negative stories on this site lately but still nothing about Final Fantasy 16 looking more likely to come to Xbox

I think an educated guess would be that such an article would garner 20 comments tops. Whereas this article will very likely push past 100 just like the one from yesterday concerning the major game maker questions Xbox support amidst falling sales πŸ˜‰.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2's Microtransactions Are Causing Controversy At Launch

Sol4ris

@PsBoxSwitchOwner

Is pure Xbox going to change the review score to reflect this?

Why would they start with Capcom when when both Microsoft and Sony first party outings are just as guilty of the practice? And this before we even consider EA, Ubisoft, Take-Two etc, etc.

For what is worth, I think the best way is to not touch their mtx with a barge pole and just play the game, which is brilliant by the way.

Re: With A 'PS5 Pro' Now Rumoured For 2024, Where Does That Leave Xbox?

Sol4ris

@HonestHick

I totally understand how you feel hombre, and I'm sure you're not the only one with that view.

It's starting to make sense why Sarah Bond mentioned the next gen Xbox console. Microsoft will have no choice but to start drip feeding information towards the end of the year to counter all the PS5 pro media hype/discourse, and of course reassure the Xbox community. Just my opinion, interesting times ahead for sure πŸ™‚.

Re: With A 'PS5 Pro' Now Rumoured For 2024, Where Does That Leave Xbox?

Sol4ris

Is that something that should bother Microsoft in your opinion?

I don't think it will bother Microsoft in particular, but you can absolutely bet that having the likes of COD, next Doom, or whatever other Microsoft first party games they'll port to PlayStation and having them run/look best on Sony’s platform is not going to boost Xbox hardware sales πŸ˜‰.(before we even consider third-party games)

A tough spot for sure, ( with potential consequences, no doubt), I'm eager to see how Microsoft approaches it....

Re: Jim Ryan Explains Why Sony Kept Refusing To Sign Xbox's Call Of Duty Offer

Sol4ris

@ShadowofTwilight

don't find Sony leadership as cringe as Saint Spencer
and
Also congrats to Microsoft...none of them look good but congrats to them

Total shocker mate! But, going full fanboy (in your case for Sony) and then doubling down on it when others are pointing it out it's not something to be proud of, some decorum goes a long way πŸ˜…...

Re: Jim Ryan Explains Why Sony Kept Refusing To Sign Xbox's Call Of Duty Offer

Sol4ris

And, you know, the deal that was offered at a certain point in time may not have been the deal that was actually signed

I have to agree with uncle Jim here, he's clearly a tough negotiator. I mean not only did he get COD for a decade, but he also managed to squeeze in other Microsoft IP'S(entirely unrelated to ABK)that frankly few of us envisaged. Kudos πŸ˜„.

Re: Xbox's Sea Of Thieves Becomes 'Best-Selling' Pre-Order On PlayStation 5

Sol4ris

This is great. Rare deserve success (hopefully it will be similar for Obsidian and Tango Gameworks) regardless of platforms, especially after the years of Kinect only output when people were making fun of them.
Now show us something from Everwild, please😁.
Predictably, we see posts from people who (almost) never had a positive thing to say about Xbox, suddenly pretending to care for it's directionπŸ˜…....
